This is not a suggestion, but it's relevant to the sub-forum.

I just noticed that whenever I see a suggestion that has been posted trillions of times before, I find myself guessing which forum vet will snap that time. Quite frequently it's me. It's sad that this happens so often, it seems as if all of us are stretched way beyond our breaking points... And we only do it because we want to be here.

Hush little baby, don't you cry. Everything's gonna be alright.

I wonder when the day will come where all the forum veterens ignore stupid threads, instead of having to add in their 2 cents, and just let them sink to the bottom of the thread-ocean.

There is no greater discouragement for action than neglect.

I try to ignore them, but

I try to ignore them, but then like 3 people start consistently posting in them so it never dies. That is what happened with the stupid login reward thread.

No joke. So true. Now notice how all of the people posting here are the forum veterans that snap at the newbies.

@Hexzyle
Nope. Last time someone posted like four suggestions at the same time it took a forum vet telling them to stop to get them to stop.

Referring to that dual wielding thread

I think we were a bit nicer this time. At least not everyone started off with an outburst.

There is no excuse for snapping at new players just because they're not as experienced with the game. There is no reason to explode at them because you could just as easily have done the same thing except with a calmer, kinder attitude.

"But Draycos, they're ignorant and I have to tell them that!"

Yes, they need to learn more about the game, but that doesn't make them terrible people. Insulting them is completely unnecessary.

"But they're the source of my frustration and I don't want to snap at other people, so I take it out on them..."

You can quell that frustration without being a jerk.

Be mad at people because they're actually bad people, not because they made a silly thread.

I agree with Hexzyle. If no one were to posts to threads that were recreated, they'd die quickly, and we'd see less of them.

Hexzyle - The most sagacious forum veteran here.

@Draycos

I agree. You should be a little more calm when critiquing players that aren't experienced. That's like someone getting mad at a child who's going to kindergarten for the first time because they think the child isn't being a genius.

Hey remember that one time

Hex has a point, I remember the last time some of the vets (myself included) snapped on a guy. First GM intervention on the suggestion forum, good times. But I can understand that people snap on forum goers that post the exact same shot down thread over and over. There is a such thing as a google search ._.
