Well as you can assume from the title this suggestion goes for upgrading the current chat system. Currently our chat ( especially in haven) Is a gigantic clutter of bland white chat. Here are my ideas :

Chat tabs :

These tabs are the same as the current main chat box only they are designated towards one chat mode i/e guild chat tab , trade chat tab

How these will work :

You will have a guild tab , main general chat tab , a trade chat tab

These tabs will have the same properties of the current chat box only they can be moved around depending on the user's desire.

To access these tabs you can either hit shortcut keys which like enter open up that particular chat tab

i/e g - For guild chat
t - For trade
Enter - Regular chat

These are the default presets and in chats like trade and guild you can type /zone or /officer for different chat modes within 1 tab.

Now chat colors are based on the color of the knight . Now don't worry this will only change the player's name in chat so the chat is no longer just plain white chat.

Now as a money bringer for SK what about buy-able slots like trinkets that allow the player to type in chat with different colors for a 30 day period I will assume the prices will be around 150 - 200 ce so as to prevent spamming of these colors.

How these will work is one you have bought the module you can type commands like /red / blue before your chat which will transform your chat's color into that color.

Just to prevent excessive use of this it will have a cool-down much like the trade chat so once you used the color command you have 15 - 20 seconds before using it again.
