"What? Some random n00b made a thread? Let's give it -1s due to a short OP post and long name!""

Whatever. What do I mean by DCR? It stands for Dash Cooldown Reduction. Since we all know that MSI only gives a 4% increase per piece (and 108% movement speed isnt very noticeable), we could replace the MSI with DCR. Each piece of DCR will reduce the dash cooldown ability by one second. So with a Mercurial Mail set you can dash every six seconds. However, there will not be DCR trinkets to prevent from going over DCR Med. Mercurial, Mercurial Demo, and Black Kat Cowl will have its MSI low replaced with DCR low (apiece). Why DCR instead of something else? MSI is as noticable as defence UVs on a SSB. DCR isn't super OP with a cap at Med. Give your opinions please.

EDIT 1: MSI will be merged with DCR now so you will get BOTH effects now. Chaos will get MSD to make a balance.

I would like DCR on royal

I would like DCR on royal jelly (non ice) and maybe as an added to merc slime. +1 to being implemented on a set.

DCR was to replace MSI. Why

DCR was to replace MSI. Why would MSI be on Ice Queen? You spend 1000 (-350 if split, -800 if free) extra CE to replace the sleep with freeze. I see that as fair. Why the Royal Jelly stuff? because it is on Mercurial Sets? MSI was already on the Black Kat Cowl, so thats why its on there.

I was saying we should hace DCR put on the purple, normal royal jelly set. Not the Ice queen set.

Hey! I like my Movement Speed Increased. I don't want it to be on the dash.

@Klipik and Fehzor

I thought about having both. What OOO could do is make MSI include its 4% movement speed incerase AND the DCR. But I didn't want Ancient Plate to have DCI (even though we don't use them aside from vendoring, T1, and passing HoH), placing a TEN SECOND COOLDOWN. Now who would want that? A mostly unnoticeable 92% movement speed is much better. I don't want to hurt the Ancient Plate users but MSI needs a buff.

@Cakeconewaffle

From post #2 it says BOTH Ice Queen and Royal Jelly. Once again, I do not repeat myself.

Yes, MSI needs a buff... but a buff in the sense of a straight upgrade. This is a good idea, but not as a replacment for MSI. It also doesn't have to be on the same armors, some other armor or even a new one could get DCR.

IMO there should also be DDI - Dash Distance Increase, and SRI - Shield Recharge Increase. And maybe BDI - Bash Damage Increase.

Not because of your name or the fact that I've never seen you in game, that's egocentric.

It's because I like MSI. I don't give a [edit] for dash cooldown. If DCR is gonna be in the game, why mess with MSI?

Yeah. I have no problem with reducing the dash timer via an armor buff, but clearly you should put it on something like armor of the fallen, which should be twice as strong as chaos (judging on the difference between chaos and mad bomber with regard to curse resist).

Question; Does the movement

Question; Does the movement speed bonus modify the speed at which you move while you dash?

-1 to replacing MSI with DCR

116% movement speed increase is actually quite noticable. It's enough to allow someone charging a Sealed Sword/Troika to move nearly as fast as someone walking normal pace, and you move faster than normal pace when charging a Vaporizor or a Brandish. When running along passageways, you really pull out infront of teammates too.

I'm all for DCR being added on seperate armors like Jelly Line though

It's pretty nice idea, but on armors not really.
On battle sprites it would be nice.

Only because I don't use it. I like to try and keep this game like it used to be. Also, why not just add this to new gear etc? Or either buff the MSI or add trinkets. It's a nice idea though, but I most probably wouldn't use it.

"no because I don't use it" is one of the worst reasons for anything ever.

Actually "Bananas aren't implemented, so why should apples be?", "the developers don't have time for that" and "I don't like it" are probably the worst reasons. (BTW these are all on WP:ATA)

I said that it was a nice idea. But I'm not exactly going to be excited about something which I don't think I'm gonna use that much, like Battle Spirtes. I'm not that keen on the idea so I'm not going to have one? Besides, it's not like OOO will implement this idea into the game. Sorry to be so pessimistic but the only thing I've ever seen them add is a Coliseum page.

I already stated that MSI could be paired with DCR.

@Hex

I think that you mean 108% because MSI low gives 4% increase, not eight. But even if you chose to have 108% MS I still feel like that is not enough of a boost.

That 116% is going to be so

That 116% is going to be so useful for the always-charging demos.

MSI is helpful to demos who tend to walk more slowly because they're almost always charging. It covers a weakness. DCR on something like Mercurial Demo wouldn't help much since I can't dash while I charge, therefore it belongs on something else. I think that's pretty much the sum of the comments here.

Do not replace MSI. Just put DCR on the jelly armors. It makes sense for them because of their wiggling dash attacks that they can do frequently. Do not put it on mercurial armor since a quicksilver's normal attack (I find) is the be an apple and charge itself up. Stupid self-healing slimes. At least they also damage enemies.

Don't touch my MSI. We're a couple of weeks away from being able to achieve Very High MSI and any claims to it being underpowered will be dispelled then.

By the way, do you know how much increase one point of damage bonus gives? It's 4%. Damage bonus isn't very impressive when it's only up to medium, either.

So it is decided. MSI will be merged with DCR to get your 4% MSI and 1 second DCR. But what will this be called? MSI! Why not DCR? Let's look at the description for Mercurial Mail. It says that springs are added to your steps, metaphoricly. Those "springs" would add MSI and most likely somehow be relevent to DCR due to speed. Strikers should choose MSI for escaping enemies after a triple sword combo/flourish spam. Gunslingers should choose MSI for escaping crowds quicker and falling back faster. Bombers should get MSI to run away faster after placing Sun Shards in a giant mob and to have Gravation lines not slow them down so much. That is why OOO gave MSI users AND EVERYBODY ELSE the dash. Do MSI users have a large advantage of having MSI while dashing? NOPE!!! Should they? I think so! I think that the DCR add-on to MSI will make Mercurial Mail and Mercurial Demo more noticed without making a new clone.

@Hexy this is not beta. Sorry.

@Malsvir

Why on the Jelly line? Because it is on the Quicksilver line? Jellies don't really dash. Sure the King and Queen Jellies spin but that is irrelevant. Even though slime cubes do a little lunge before spinning that is not close to a dash. The Flourish charges aren't intended to be dashes. I feel like the jelly would weigh the knight down honestly. Just be glad that Jelly lines didn't get ASD or MSD. https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/3492179200/h06CD4CD0/

What are you talking about? I'm talking about Battle Sprites. They weren't in the beta.
