Greetings,
Some of you may know me as the Guild Master and Founder of Reign of Fire. Some of you may know me as the guy who owns you in Lockdown, and some of you may simply know me as a friend. But to everyone, I am Theoncomingfire. I speak to you all today about an event that I know will interest the many of you who play this game!
Last Year, Myself, Zaderules, Thechosenwarriorjr, Tersakoff and many more organized The Spiral Knights Olympics 2012. An event where many guilds participated in and was very successful. Due to how successful it was last year, I have decided to carry on this legacy and organize the Spiral Knights Olympics 2013 (Officially Known as the Spiral Knights Summer Olympic Games of the II Olympiad). At the moment we're still at the drawing Board but the games will most likely start on Tuesday 30th July and will last for 10 days and end on Thursday 8th August 2013 (Possibly later depending on how many events we get done during the Time).
---OBJECTIVES OF THIS EVENT---
*Represent your Spiral Knights Guild!
*Make use of Spiral Knights Facilities!
*Similarly resemble the 2012 London Olympics!
*Discover hidden talents!
*Last, but not least, Have Fun!
---EVENTS---
The Events we have so far are as followed:
*6v6 Lockdown
*4v4 Blast Network
*2v2 Trivia (Quiz for All You Clever People)
*1 Guild Representative for the Fashion
*4v4 Clockwork Races
- Please Note that to enter the Lockdown you must have a Tier Three Guild Team and you will be automatically disqualified if you do not produce a team following the rule. The Clockwork Races will also take place on a Tier 3 Level.
---RULES, REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES---
*Opening Ceremony is when the torch (aka a flaming Spiral Knight) runs around Town Square in Haven indicating the beginning of the Olympics.
*Guild Masters are the primary source of contact if any problem arises.
*Guild Masters may participate in the Olympics.
*Each participating guild member can participate in as many events as they want.
*Make sure the guild members can make it online at the listed date of their event.
*When the guild member has signed up, the decision is FINAL.
*There will only one TEMPORARY replacement is allowed PER event PER guild.
*Participating guild members may not switch to another guild team during the Olympics.
*Guilds don't have to do ALL the events, but it is suggested to do them all to get Guild Points.
*ALL Prizes are given out on Closing Ceremony. (Thursday 8th August)

Questions Answered
@Geoflyer: We may limit it depending on how many people sign up. It may become a bit hectic if 25 Guilds sign up for the Lockdown and how would we be able to fit all games within a 10 day Period?
@Ndogine-Forums: I've limited only the Lockdown to Tier 3 as the majority of guilds that play Lockdown are Tier 3. It would be quite difficult to start another tournament with Tier 2. However, every other event is open to anyone.
Note: The Clockwork Races will be a Tier 3 Mission but that doesn't mean that Tier 2's can't enter. One of my game makers will be able to start a party for them if necessary.

News: Thurs 18 July
For Everyone: The Opening Ceremony of the Spiral Knights Olympic Games 2013 will be taking place in the Echo of Silence GuildHall on Tuesday 30th July at 7pm GMT. The Ceremony will last approximately an 30 Minutes to an Hour and we will need 4 Representatives of each guild to take part in the Parade of Guilds. Please could the Contact (Most Likely GM or someone else nominated in the guild) tell me the names of the four people who will be there on the day to take part in the Parade of Guilds. Even if you are not taking part, you can still watch the Opening Ceremony. Events will start as soon as the Opening Ceremony Ends.

Opening Ceremony!
Well the Games will begin as soon as the Opening Ceremony ends. The Opening Ceremony is on Tuesday 30th July at 7pm GMT and will feature appearances by the Olympic Halos (http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/577836849379019286/EC7B6816B86517FEA...) and this year's Olympic Flame (To Be Announced but last year it was Tersakoff). The Games begin as soon as the Opening Ceremony is over but we will keep Guild Master's informed of details once their Guild has signed up.

@Fire its quite unfair that the clockworks and lockdown games are tier 3. There are also a majority of guilds that are tier 2 lockdown. Not everyone can afford tier 3 gear.

Well after you've signed up your original team then that's your team and you can't change. However, after you've signed up your team I will mail you the Step 2 Requirements - Part of which tells you to mail me a list of all members in your guild to avoid subbing. After you've mailed that back to me, you can change your guild team to your desires and you're team does not become fixed :)

Official Rules for the Opening Ceremony!
I thought I may have to put this on just to make sure everyone know's what's happening and things you're not meant to do.
The Opening Ceremony will as you know be taking place in The Jempire GuildHall. However, I have agreed with Rubyeclipse that he should close the GH if there is any trolling. So here are a few rules.
1) If you are coming to watch, please listen to everything Games Makers or myself have to say! On the day, Games Makers wil be the people in Wolver!
2) Please do not run with The Olympic Halos or the Olympic Flame. Games Makers will put you in a place to stand where you will be able to watch the Flame and the Halos. So please listen to what they're saying.
3) There will be a little stage in the GuildHall where events such as the Guild Parade and Speeches will take place. Please do not go onto that Stage!
4) Games Makers will be there to help you as much as possible so if you have any queries ask them.
5) After The Opening Ceremony ends, Games Makers will take contestants to your event room. While in the event room please stay in lines according to your guild and wait for me to come to organise the games. Hosts for each event will be there if you have any questions.
6) Fashion will not take place after the Opening Ceremony but on Day 8 of the Games. We will let you know by Friday if there will be a fixed time for it or whether we will create a forum for you to post pictures of your knight.
7) If you wish to talk to someone please do so via PM. Many of us have worked quite hard to make this Ceremony Successful and we would like it to be successful. Advertising is allowed but should ONLY be done through Guild Trade Channel. Zone Chat and Normal Chat will be used for the Ceremony!!!!
As this Ceremony is an event to start the whole Games we ask you for your co-operation throughout it and we wish you and the guilds partcipating an enjoyable and fun Olympic Games. :D

I Think I forgot to mention this, but we encourage all guilds to enter all events to gain Guild Points. The Winner of the Guild Points System will receive a Trophy in the Format of .Jpeg as well as an additional bonus Prize Crowns. I think I forgot to mention that in the original post.

Your guild DOESN'T have to enter every event, but we recommend you enter as many events as you can for Guild Points. And you can enter different people for different events.

Please also note that there will be an Opening Ceremony Rehearsal in The Jempire or Echo of Silence GuildHall! - Please Meet Haven 4 Garrison for everyone participating! That includes all guild taking part in events! This rehearsal will take place at 6pm GMT on Monday 29th July 2013. Guilds may also be called up on Friday 26th July throughout the day to practice their section of the Opening Ceremony. ALL HOSTS SHOULD AND GAMES MAKERS SHOULD BE THERE AS WELL!!!
