I have a Chaos set which I use for every mission and level I play. I really like the mission "Ghosts in the Machine", but I am getting annoyed by the shock statuses. I'm fine with my fire and freeze weakness, but shock is just really bugging me. I'm thinking of getting a Mercurial Set, since I thought it looked cool and it has shock resist. Other sets have the same amount of shock resist plus another status resist such as fire (Grey feather set). Is the shock resist in Mercurial Set more than the Divine/Grey Feather Sets?

Tl;dr Should I get Mercurial Set or another shock resistant set? This set will be mostly used for the mission "Ghosts in the Machine"

what weapons?

The statistics bars on armor seem to be fairly accurate. So, if two armors have shock bars of equal length, you should proceed under the assumption that they have equal shock protection.

Do you use guns? Perfect Mask of Seerus (if you have access to it) is an offensive gunner armor with shock protection.

Divine isn't bad in Ghosts in the Machine, since elemental and shadow damage are both present.

There are several shock-resistant sets:
*Mercurial
*Mercurial Demo
*Grey Feather
*Divine

Most of the enemies are constructs and undead, so you will want either shadow or elemental defense with your shock. The only undead are Frankenzoms and the occasional dreadnaught. There are Sparkies, no Shocking Howlitzers, and considering how deadly the Volt Knights are, you will want to prioritize elemental defense.

I personally prefer Mercurial Demo. If you don't have that, any elemental+shock armor should work well for you.

oh and another question: If I wear any of these sets, will I be completely immune to shock and from the shock wisps?

Wisps and Voltaic Tempest in LD... maybe. But not to every source of shock.

No.

You need a low shock UV on one of them to be immune to wisps, I think.

You'll need a double max + low for mist immunity, so get a low UV or put on a shock trinket for that.

For Ghosts in the Machine in particular, the ideal armor is the Divine Veil/Mantle. If you really hate shock, you can also get the defensive trinket(s) from Brinks.
