It's funny how people re-discover Whirled, whereas most of people I know on SK are actually Whirled veterans.
Being SK player without being YPP or Whirled player before seems sooo odd to me.
And yes, we are awaiting Pit Brute as a SK fiend since day one.

Yes! Yes! My wonderful Pit Brutes return! I've been waiting since I started SK for OOO to add them to the game. I've been on Whirled since January 2010. SK since Aug 4th, 2011.
To think of it, I hope Spiral Knights characters appear in the next SEGA All Stars Racing game.
SEGA doesn't consider us "stars", so I doubt it.
If we got in that game, it'd be a big publicity buff...
Sega doesn't want us getting a publicity buff. :(
I remember directing the forums to the DLC poll last year. The results were pretty low for a community this big.
It's a surprise Rome 2 could get a pass before SK.

@ Merethif: Really? None of the elite players I knew back when SK was at its prime had mentioned playing previous 000 games.
Looks like an interesting monster though, hopefully if/when we go to the Underworld we face a version of them.
I made Underwhirled Drift with Nate Curtis and Ian way back during the first few months of SK development. Further into SK's development I always wanted a random coffee shop to appear in the Clockworks called 'Underworld Drip.' It was run by a hipster-y devilite named Eugene.
But I guess society wasn't ready for such a meaningful contribution...

That's a very interesting insight. There's certainly a lot of development potential for the Devilites in the game, Sullivan and Gorgos aside.
So that's where the Shadow Espresso was supposed to appear!

@Khamsin, well I was rather referring to people I know in-game (my guild members mostly) then the ones I "know" from forum. People like Dcurd, Ynahteb, Saphy, Liviola, Balian or Levonis. These are not big names like Magnus, Biznasty, Fallout, Tantarian or Chris.
BTW, speaking of other games that possibly had some influence on SK I would point at Brawler Whirled. Kawaii style of characters is one thing. Icons style is the other (or sadly was since we got ugly WoW ones). Plus one of scenario rooms (the one with two small puppy statue before giant puppy statue) really looks like gnolls' painting in one of Brawler Whirled level.
Why was "Underworld Drip" not put in? I love background junk like that added in, similar to the Devilite book that reads "How to appease your Pit Boss". Not to mention that the Devilite levels themselves are offices in a nutshell.
Smells like a future Scenario Room. ;)
It sounds to me this "Underwhirled" is the same Underworld that the Devilites came from into the Clockworks to spread their dark magicks.

Yes please. It would make for a great scenario room. A place in haven makes it too easily accessible and therefore not as special if I come across it. But maybe that is just from my point of view.
