((What do you mean that I getting ripped off?))
A new kind of roleplaying game
((Cus im giving my bad guy a boss music thingy too))
((Sono, don't forget Zack and Sara. I'll be responding at the Capitol Building Exterior and Residential District. Also, Walton's been using martial arts in combat, not a sword. Not that it matters a whole lot.
And, yeah, you guys are all awesome.))
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
Turbo dived forward, activating his hoof jets in time to launch himself directly below the beast, then around and above him, swinging his hammer... and missing by a yard. He'd launched too far. Turbo kept his eye on the beast, waiting for his next attack.
Helena looked up at the missiles, and rotated one dial on the back of the coil. "HAHAHAHA! Test number TWOOOO!"
Pointing her Combat Coil toward the missiles, Helena sent blasts of lightning that quickly jumped between each of them, shorting them out, or exploding them, whichever one came first. Hopefully I detonate one of his missiles while it's still in the minigun. That'll be... scientific.
"So, regular steam won't harm you. Well, I had hoped I could save this..."
Dan pulled a single lever, then, still hovering over the Shadow Spawn, began blasting the blessed steam at them. "BEGONE! LET THE POWER OF MACHINES BE A VESSEL OF THE MAKER'S JUSTICE! Ow!" This last part was in response to an accidental minor spark from Helena's Combat Coil hitting his leg.
"Sorry about that."
As the Shadow Spawn encroached on the Champions, Rick began adding his Rocket Launcher to the mix. "YOU GUYS SUCK AT DANGER!"
Walton raised his arms, waiting until another Shadow Spawn drew close, then knocked it over, grabbed it, and swung it like a massive club once, before proceeding to fling it backward, in order to clear the area around him.
"Bam! Bam!" Amy kept firing, keeping their flank secure. "Hey! Did you see me get that one?"
Two Shadow Spawn leapt out from behind cover, trying to hit Amy.
"Yaaaaah!" Amy ran backward, frantically reloading her gun. "Go away! GO AWAY!"
While Amy was faster, the two Shadow Spawn were able to corner her...
...and then they dropped dead. From a standing building, a few people- not soldiers, just ordinary citizens with rifles and hard light bullets- gave Amy a thumbs-up.
"Seems the militia's started fighting back." Cecilia smiled, watching from a balcony she'd teleported to. "Good. They can take down some of those shadow monsters." Let's see. Vortak is in pitched combat with the ally robot, Dryder. So where's Arkhov and his crew... I can't just teleport into the Capitol Building. If I ran into Arkhov's band, I'd be caught between them and Vortak's forces, and chances are too slim that I'd fail. Turbo mentioned a defensive setup in the way as well. So the best way forward is to rout Vortak's forces.
Cecilia glanced down at Vortak. I can't make a shot from here. The bullet wouldn't get enough velocity to so much as scratch Vortak, and I'd probably have missiles flying my way. And getting in close... is a risky undertaking.
Then Cecilia looked at the pods they'd come in. Maybe they could be used somehow? No, they were too heavy for her to push with anything.
...Maybe there was something in the buildings. What would Vortak be weak to? Magnets, probably. And maybe electricity. Hmm. Donut shoppe... no good. Some minor government buildings... no. It looks like we'll have to fight... that said, there's probably a nice water supply in the donut shoppe, in case Dan runs low on water... Cecilia continued watching Vortak, examining him to see if he had any weak points.
--Kurduhm, Residential District--
"Well." Erk was able to spot the fighting going on. "This is an interesting turn of events."
"Hey! Get down!"
Erk and Serra nodded, quickly ducking behind cover. There was a rag-tag group of citizens with firearms and hard light bullets watching the fray.
"Are you going to fire on them?"
The citizen with the most guns shook his head. "We don't know which ones are on our side!"
Erk examined the battlefield. "Hmm. Asura and Akuma appear to be opposed to those two..." Erk pointed at Torghast and Obakun. "...things. Whatever they are."
"Here's hoping they can be shot..." Serra looked at the citizens. "Is anyone injured?"
"Don't get me started." The main guy motioned toward a group of people, hidden behind rubble, with various injuries. "They were pulled out of the buildings that collapsed."
"All right. Here..." Serra began treating injuries with her Mend staff.
"All these damn outerworld invaders..." One guy clenched his fists. "This is getting real old, real fast! These invaders are asking for a bullet!"
At Erk's nervous glance, he added, "Don't worry. You're cool. So are those guys in that old apartment. And Profiteur, especially Profiteur."
"Profiteur? I've been working for him."
"Yeah, makes sense. The guy looks funny, but if it weren't for his warnings, we'd have had a lot more serial killers and criminals running around."
"Hmm." Erk stared at the damaged buildings. "All right. I'll start blowing away some rubble. Serra, if I shout for help..." Erk handed her his Rescue Staff. "Pull me out of there."
"Got it. Try not to die, OK?"
"I'll do my best." Erk began running toward one of the collapsed buildings.
--Kurduhm, Rolling Hills, Skies--
"SHEE-EESH! We go away for like half a day to keep an eye on Colchus Primus, and everything goes to hell. West tower, status report!"
Kurduhm had eight soldiers in the Elite Special Forces, including the Cyborganic Turbo-Minotaur, Uther Badquarters, and the Phantom Phoenix.
Luna Wing was another one. Turbo had mythical strength in tandem with modern technology. Uther was a swordsman without peer. The Phantom Phoenix could make invisible fire. (Not kidding!) Luna Wing was... different. Her appearance and skillset was like what you'd expect if the star of a Magical Girl anime got a weapons commission from Tony Stark. Her robot suit looked frilly (as far as robot suits go, anyway), going as far as sporting a metal miniskirt over the main armored leggings, but each "frill" secreted a different weapon. Oh, and it had jet wings.
"Dang, am I glad to see you guys! The Capitol is under attack! The Ministers, legislators and judicial branch are out of danger, but the Regent's under attack. Someone hacked the West Portal Sector, and Myles thinks he picked up some kind of reading from the cave to the southwest. There's crazy property damage and a lot of casualties... we need to track down those guys!"
"Right. Kurduhm 81st Air Brigade! Spread out! And STICK TO PRECISION WEAPONS. There's already enough damage!"
"Understood!"
((Dont forget about the vault))
((Small question before I post, where is the library?))
((Those two's only purpose was literally just for Arkhov to show off his powers. Then you went and pseudo-revived them, and now I gotta try and remember to talk for them each post.))
((Erm... yeah... sorry.
At least a plot seems to be developing involving them, though.))
((Hey Doc, could you answer my question about the library in Kurduhm? I would like to know
We could always do some absolutely absurd plot twist to help you with that, like somehow Lance's Ion Laser randomly activates for no reason what-so-ever and obliterates the Ironbound Shelter, and in turn, the two, and then, the laser creates a giant explosion killing everyone. Yeah... That would work, all my characters somehow survive and prevent everybody from making a character by killing that character instantly, even though they will probably dodge, and be the worst RPer I can be. Great idea, putting in effect right away, expect to hate me
Jk))
((Ha ha ha ha ha... no.
Anyway, I figure the library will be somewhat to the northwest of the capitol building, a good two minutes' walk from the Residential District and three minutes from Profiteur's Warehouse.))
((I dunno, I kinda like the idea. Gives me an excuse to not use the two characters I wasn't even intending on using in the first place. *shoots look at Doctor*
Waiting on you Pi.))
((I'll take 'em if you don't want 'em. Unless someone else wants 'em?))
((Whose 'em? Sorry I dont really read the parts that I dont have to... should I read all the kurdum parts not just where I need to respond to?))
((Nah, I don't read all the parts either.
Sure, be my savi- I mean guest.))
((Sara and Zack, two characters Sonosuke created to demonstrate Arkhov's abilities and general attitude, who then got rescued through time by Cecilia. I'll work on adding a little more of their personality and backstory, unless you want to add something.
You don't have to, though you can read some of the parts in your spare time for a little entertainment. In particular, I'd take a look at parts involving Erutus Profiteur, who's already been shown to be up to no good.
BTW Pi, if you're having trouble with posts getting deleted, you can open up a WordPad document (or similar) and write out your post in there.))
((Technically, you're not ripping me off by also revealing an antagonist's music early on, you're just doing the same thing as I did))
--Mushroom Kingdom, Skies--
((And that just raises confusion even more. Where on earth did Robin get a jet pack, let alone know how to use one.))
The KoT appeared behind Plauge Knight, who got up there by some strange teleporting pearls he stole from some blocky guy one time, "There better be treasure up here, and lots of it. I have a very limited supply of these..."
--Peach's Castle, Throne Room--
((Who Bowser(?) actually is is really strong.))
"HMPH!" said Bowser(?), watching the ice flower harmlessly touch him and do nothing, "You think that ice shot out of a FLOWER can hurt me? As for you, unplanned nuisance, (Messorem) you get the special surprise." Bowser(?) breathed flames all over Messorem, and anyone else in the room.
--Kurduhm, Southern Wall--
The first Razor Claw was defeated after being struck, the second one attempted to slice Uther. The slime minions jumped at Shiki, and the big slime attempted to tackle Shiki.
Suddenly, a voice came from below. "YAAAAAAAH!" said blue-haired (What I'm calling the girl with the light-blue hair for now) as she flew up there by being propelled by a laser cannon, "Huh? Where did giant robot of doom go? I could have sworn giant robot of doom was here"
"Perhaps he left?" said someone else, although there was no one else around.
"Why would giant robot of doom leave?"
"I think 'giant robot of doom' was scared off by something?"
"Probably, it doesn't seem to want to play. We should probably go look for it."
"Agreed."
"YOU SAW NOTHING!" said blue-haired, as she pointed her laser cannon at the ground in order to propel away from there.
--Kurduhm, 2 minutes away from Residential District--
A big explosion occurred in the library, destroying it. Somehow, the part of the library needed for Erk to do research on the Toxin was still intact and could be used for the research.
--Kurduhm, Underground Vault--
Lance blew up the trap with his gun.
Cynthia wasn't exactly sure why they were suddenly giving her advice on how to strike fear into the enemy. She certainly didn't ask how, and she already knew how to, but every bit of advice helps with being a hero.
"Huh? What did you say?" asked the Inkling, who wasn't paying attention "What ARE we doing anyway?"
--Luna, Skies--
"Woah there," the Demon Merchant said, "I need YOU to sign it, not a random soldier."
--Floralia, Artist's Studio--
Paintra moved on to her second phase as a blank canvas appeared in the background. Paintra DX started going through the canvas towards the heroes 4 times.
Samantha used burn on Paintra
--Mushroom Kingdom, Skies--
Immediately, large Bullet Bills began firing from four manually aimed cannons; one focused on Robin, two on the King of Thieves, and one on Plague Knight. A swarm of 30 Para-Goombas began rushing the group as well.
"Oooooh! A lot of little targets at once! That's like getting a neurotoxin sample for your birthday!" Plague Knight leapt into the air, avoiding the first Bullet Bill while tossing a small flask at the Para-Goombas. An explosion of electrical sparks flew through the swarm, knocking all but four of them out of the sky. "WHEEEE HEEEE HEEEEEEEE!"
--Kurduhm, Southern Wall--
Uther leapt backward to avoid the Razor Claw's attack, then lunged a split-second after landing, drawing his energy sword with his off hand in the same motion to try and impale the Razor Claw by surprise.
"Hold! Azure-haired maiden, I hope thou wilt render... Forsooth. And here I had thought we should have additional support..."
--Kurduhm, Library Wreckage--
"Hold it!" Luna Wing landed in front of the wrecked library. "Aaaaargh! There goes that novel I wanted to read..."
The records and some of the nonfiction titles were still intact, but the fiction was all but gone. "Well. That's really annoying." Prepping her Arm Cannon, Luna Wing began searching the immediate area.
--Kurduhm, Ironbound Shelter--
"A coffee shop. Does it offer lemonade?"
"Lemonade?" Alf scratched his head. "Yeah... I think so. They got some kinda strawberry limeade, too-"
"YES." Sara grinned, jumping off the shelf. "All right, Zack! Let's head down there!"
"All right..." Zack marked his page. He was almost getting to the good part...
"'Kay, follow me." Alf led the two to the elevator, wondering if this was a good idea. Then he shrugged. It was good for the two to get outside, and he'd be able to block any nonsense from Arkhov.
--Kurduhm, Ironbound Shelter, Exterior--
"Hmmm. Look at ze elevator. Zey are coming to us!"
"Most wonderful news... Profiteur, be sure to land Stop on the big one."
"But of course!" Profiteur hid himself behind a crate.
--Kurduhm, Underground Vault--
The trap was not destroyed, but the explosion from Lance's gun blocked the ice jets.
"All right, go!" Spy ran around the corner first, followed quickly by Wes, DeRosa, Claptrap and Severa, stopping just short of a large hallway filled with a variety of spinning blade traps. The walls had metal blades constantly swinging out of them at varying heights, while the center of the hallway had large stone pillars moving up and down the hallway with spinning blades connected to them.
"Well." Severa said, "That looks... dangerous."
"Yeah, no kidding... Spy, can you do anything about this?"
"Are you joking? Of course not!"
Wes looked at the traps again. "All a bunch of metal blades. Hey, Desidia, I think this is your forte."
--Manor di Fieghan--
In the wake of Arkhov's previous attack, the Manor di Fieghan, once Sarah and Zack's home and a masterful example of engineering, now remained uninhabited and in terrible condition. The mechanical defenses were busted, and only one man remained inside.
"Must..." The man groaned, clambering toward a small machine in the corner. "Must sound... the alarm..." The maniac had chased Baron Otto's children, Zack and Sarah, out the secret passage. Where... was it?! He had to protect them...
Bang! A single shot rang out, and the man- the last guardsman in the Manor di Fieghan- perished.
"Pah." Desmond Skurge examined the room. "And here, I'd thought I'd face some difficulty. Someone's beaten me to the place... and left me the spoils."
"Governor Skurge!" Skurge's henchmen were following him thus far. Leaving his lands to his reliable associates, Desmond Skurge had decided to take advantage of the linked worlds by engaging in large-scale piracy. His goals were twofold: to increase the riches of his collective government, and to obtain high personal power by stealing the various forms of weaponry he could get. "We're ready to seize everything not nailed down!"
"Seize everything, nails be damned. This includes the cannons on the outside... they've got a unique power source. I'm returning to the ship unless my presence is necessary."
Desmond's men went to work...
--Completely Towerless Terrain--
"Okay." Lei Tency landed harmlessly on the ground. "You might be wondering what this place is, who I am, and who that freak Translation Trainwreck is. So, here it is."
Lei Tency began a massive plot exposition. "In our world is a massive rift in space and time known only as the Lag Rift. Its effects once devastated our land, wreaking havoc on everything people did. So, three thousand years ago, we figured out how to shut the Rift... but not entirely.
"You see, there was still an opening, but royal scientists figured out that the opening could be controlled by..." Lei pulled up the sleeve of her right arm, revealing a bracelet with a gem in it. "This, the Coupon of Plotte. It has since been passed from generation to generation of royalty, so that they could guard its power, and release it over time to prevent the closure in the Lag Rift from bursting. In return, the royal chosen for the job would abdicate all command of the government to the next in the lineup.
"But some people would use the Lag Rift for evil. Translation Trainwreck is one of seven generals in the Terrible Order of Unprecedented Hatred and Overt Unpleasantness, a foul cult that seeks to take the power of the Lag Rift for themselves and their Overlord. If T.O.U.H.O.U. gained the power of the Rift, none would be safe from their hellish bullets... They've been working to bind the power of the Rift to their Overlord by creating a magical mechanism known as the Circle of Really Awful Power... I was hoping to delay their efforts by destroying one of the Generals' power crystals, which are used in the construction of the CRAP."
Lei Tency looked toward the horizon. "But Translation Trainwreck escaped... so we'll have to stop one of their other generals. I know of two more near us. One is Emell Jee, the Stop Having Fun Guy. The other is Rulze Loyere. I must stop one of them, or we risk the Lag Rift falling into the Overlord's hands..."
--CaveLand--
"Right. Now what..." Eta stared at the TARDIS. "Death's Arm is still up to no good..."
--The Iron Skull--
"Hmmm. Let me see the rest of the contract, then." Claymorte began reading the rest of the contract... "Merely a formality! I can't imagine an excellent businessman like yourself has much need of a scam, but I'd check if it were my grandmother offering the contract."
--Kurduhm, Underground Vault--
Desidia dunkley walked over to the blades and stopped inches before it hit him. "Wow! Would ya look at that. Couldn't make a better blade if I tried."
Desidia held out his hand and the blade stopped. Soon all the other blades in the room followed its example. "That was easy." Desidia started walking forward and after a few steps he shuddered and looked up.
"He can't be alive." Sonus looked over at Destia and a look of worry washed over his face.
--Peach's Castle, Throne Room--
Messorem only smiled at the flames came at him. "I love surprises." As soon as he said this a steel plate came from under him protecting him from the flames. Once the flames died down. The wall turned into melted steel. Messorem put his hand in the glob of melted steel and it came up his arm. !!Messorem's arm is now covered in steel!
"Now let us start." Messorem warps behind Bowser(?) pulling back for a punch.
(Yay we can role-play)
(Also pi, Don't question logic. Theres a lot more things we should question. 1. Why is mario and luigi just happening to be at the castle when they have a job. 2. Why did kirby come out of nowhere into the Artist Studio. 3. How did link know how to fly the tardis, And a few more, Also this could be in a separate timeline)
-Throne Room-
Mario tried hitting him with Fire Flowers.
-Caveland-
"Perhaps we should see where the thieve who originally stole this tardis is?" The Doctor said pulling out some sort of phone. Then he set the Coordinates of the Tardis to the Artist Studio. He hopped in to get it all ready,
-Artist Studio-
Link slashed through the canvas. And Kirby inhaled a flame that Samantha dropped while attacking. Turning Kirby into Fire Kirby.
(Sorry for a short post. Not a lot is going on ATM)
((Hey! What the hell are you doing? Don't send them to the Studio, we already have enough characters there as is!))
--Kurduhm, Southern Wall--
((Come with me! There's no time to expla- Wait a minute. *giant monster bursts through wall*))
Shiki jumped up and over, sending an electro ball at the main slime and smaller lightning bolts at the minions.
"Eat that, Slimes!" He landed next to Uther. "Hm. I wonder what fried gelatin tastes like?"
--Kurduhm, Residential District--
((Oh right, forgot to say how the Shadow Twins look. They're basically the same as the Fire Twins, appearance-wise, but that's the onoy similarities. Their skin is completely black (not the non-reflecting kind, just onyx black), they have white hair, and have glowing white eyes. The colors of their clothing are opposite to the Fire Twins', except more monochrome, and they have light blue pointed shoulder pads and shin guards.))
Obakun, mid flight, notices the civilians atop the buildings. Kicking Asura away, he shoots several dark energy bolts at them before launching a dark orb. Soteka sees this and shoots them down.
"Well then. You're ruthlessness is awfully high today. What gives, Dark offered a raise or something?" Soteka skidded back a few feet by an annoyed Torghast.
"That's none of your concern, Light-Sider." Torghast was about to charge at him, but jumped back when Mekito and Akuma attempted to bring their weapons down on him. "Gah, you Devils are so annoying!"
"Devil and a half, smarta**!" Akuma swung his mace, which prompted Torghast jump again. Asura took this opportunity to axe-kick him back down before being knocked out of the sky himself by Obakun.
"Half-whatever! I'll still take you down!"
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
(Pods are covered in shadow energy. Meaning they'd burn you by the slightest touch.)
The Shadow Spawn were getting vaporized by the blessed steam. Or were they? As the front lines were dissolving into the ground, the Spawn behind them split up from the steam, now going in from the sides.
The Beast slammed the ground, causing a fissure to run along the ground towards the Champions before it summoned a massive halberd. It charged at Turbo in an attempt to rip him in half down the center.
Dryder and Vortak were in a stalemate. Both had hold of the other's head with their claw, as Dryder held down Vortak's minigun blade with the split in his own. Dryder sees the fissure. "The Earth Beast?! Guys! Don't let that fissure get near you!" (If it does get too close to someone, they'll feel a sudden pull coming from it, as a shadowy fog starts to surround them. They can escape, but it's difficult to do so.)
--Manor di Fieghan--
A voice spoke up from the speakers. "Now now now. Why would you go and kill that poor guard? I've grown fond of his company since the whole, y'know, incident." An elevator started making it's ascent to the ground floor.
--Floralia, Artist's Studio--
Orange floated out of the way as Joe attempted to spin kick Paintra as she passed by. "Geez, this witch is getting on my nerves!"
(Im trying to post the next Tardis segment. But it says Validation error!)
((Copy it and paste it into a new post))
((The militiamen in the Residential District aren't atop buildings, but behind the remains of buildings; it's the ones by the Capitol that are inside and on top of buildings. That said, it's still believable that Obakun would notice them.))
--Kurduhm, Residential District--
Serra, about to finish healing the last civilian, gasped and stopped healing for a second, raising her staff to try and mitigate some of the damage from the incoming attack. Fortunately, Soteka had blocked the attack for her.
"Get outta here! They can't see the alley!" Serra finished with the last civilian, then peered out from behind cover. "Oh, they'll be sorry now!"
Erk, having finished casting Rexcalibur at a pile of rubble, turned toward Serra to check on her. After seeing her and the militia were unharmed, Erk quickly surveyed the wreckage he'd cleared away. One body, and it was split in half by a piece of rebar.
"All right. It was four against two before we showed up and they're holding their own. Perhaps I, along with Serra and the militia, shall do something about it..." Erk had to wonder. Profiteur could attack these guys, or at least get his minions to do it. What the heck was he wasting his time with?!
"No matter! Those murderers appear weak to Light, so..." Erk lifted Retribution, then carefully lined up his shot in an attempt to strike Obakun as he fell back down from his attack on .
"You're outnumbered, outclassed, and probably out of time! Run while you've still got a head!"
Serra covered the civilians' escape down into the alley, while the militiamen waited for Obakun or Torghast to try and approach Erk, hoping to catch him by surprise with Hard Light bullets.
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
"Get back!" Cecilia warped back down with the Blink Drive. "And stick together! We can use the fissure to try and split their forces."
"Good idea!" Walton covered the others' exit as they backtracked, knocking out around five more Shadow Spawn before retreating himself.
"Pfft, come on, you guys! Get dangerous! Get next to it! What are ya, sissi-" Rick felt the fissure start pulling. "Okay, that's enough danger!" Rick promptly ran away from the fissure, drawing his Frying Pan. "I got skillets to pay the billets! ...Hey, is billet a word? Just wonderin'."
"Indeed it is, sir Rick! 'Tis a term for a civilian lodging that's used to house military personnel."
Now the Champions and Rick were holding a backward line, with Helena switching the Combat Coil so that it fired ricocheting light blasts instead. "Ohh, now they're doomed."
Amy and Cecilia fired away at the spot Walton guarded, while Dan spread steam from above the point Rick was defending. "FEAR US, FOR WE ARE THE GREAT MASTERS OF DANGER!"
"YEAH! EAT DANGER, CHUMP SQUAD!"
Turbo rolled to the side, assisted by one of his rocket hooves. "YOU WANT TO FIGHT ME ONE ON ONE? FINE! BRING IT ON! I'M TEN LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF YOUR SKILL LEVEL!" Turbo leapt at blinding speed toward the Earth Beast, swinging his hammer in a fierce downward strike.
Helena shook her head. "Light years measure distance, not time..."
--Kurduhm, Ironbound Shelter Exterior--
Alf walked outside, checking to his left and to his right. All right, this is probab
Profiteur's Stop magic struck Alf, leaving him frozen in his position; after this, Profiteur quietly Teleported back to his warehouse. Sarah and Zack walked past him, before stopping to turn around.
"Hey, Alf! We gotta go quick! What's the funny look for?"
Zack poked Alf on the shoulder. "Alf. Earth to Alf."
"Alf!" Sarah started poking Alf on the shoulder repeatedly. "Hey! This isn't funny."
"Sarah, something feels... off."
"Like what? Wait, Zack, duck!"
Zack dived out of the path of a glass flask thrown at them from nowhere. The flask struck Alf, who remained standing there even as the glass shattered in his face and poison gas leaked out. "Okay, either Alf is probably the best actor in the history of the universe, or we're under attack!"
"Zack! Is that... him?"
"Uh... No, he would have used a sword... This is someone else."
Alf was still standing up. He looked visibly harmed- though not visibly harmed that much- by the poisonous attack. Meanwhile, a fat man with more vials on his belt...
"Sarah! There he is!"
Qada, preparing another Poison Hi-Potion, glared at Zack. "Oh, look. You can SEE me. I'm so scared."
Qada tossed the Hi-Potion at Sarah, but she was able to leap out of the way.
"Who are you?!"
"It doesn't matter." Zack spotted a crowbar on Alf's back, which he quickly took. "I'm... not going to let him get away!"
Meanwhile, Sarah climbed back onto her feet and reached for a knife on Alf's belt.
"Hmph!" Qada reached for two small vials, each one containing Dark Matter...
--Manor di Fieghan--
Desmond sighed. "Another one? See to it that he's dealt with. Peacefully, if possible. I don't need any enemies it's not convenient to kill. I'm returning to the ship- I've got plans to make." He quickly made for his vessel.
Meanwhile, Desmond's henchmen split up, with two of them headed toward the body, standing around as if they didn't know who'd done it.
--Manor di Fieghan, Secret Room--
"NO... NATIVE PERSONNEL... DETECTED." A small automaton, whose body consisted of nothing much more complicated than a box with wheels and simple jointed arms, began moving toward a simple teleporter. "NUMBER OF... TRUSTED PERSONNEL ALIVE... IS: TWO. EXECUTING... EMERGENCY PROTOCOL... 74."
The automaton started up the teleporter, then loaded its chassis storage with the contents of a small chest, before applying a few parameters to the teleporter search engine...
EDIT: Now adding CaveLand.

"Wait a minute. We should refill our ammo first!"
"PlusweshouldletInigenAmalgamatedknowaboutthebadpeopleincasetheychaseafterus."
Upsilon made a funny look at Theta. "Uh... can you say that slower?"
Theta squinted, as if pained, and said, "Plus... we... should... let..."
"No, no, you don't have to..." Upsilon whispered, "What happened to her?"
"The Sanguine Tide Training Regimen happened. Theta was already timid before Sanguine Tide. They changed her into a machine- like us, of course- and then they put her through some of the nastiest training you could find. They thought Theta was impressionable, and wanted to turn her into a weapon..." Eta sighed and shook her head. "They wanted to dehumanize my little sis even more than the rest of us."
"Uh... I'm sorry."
"You'd better be."
Great. They're still associating me with Death's Arm.
C-5455 approached Eta with some missiles. "IS THIS A BAD TIME?"
"Actually, it couldn't be better. Tell the high brass to keep an eye out for a big metal ship with a grey skull insignia on the front. If they ask about us or this... Upsilon guy... we're not here."
"OUR LIPS ARE SEALED."
Eta loaded her launcher reserve with more missiles, then rolled into the Doctor. "All right, let's head SOMEWHERE. This place won't blow us up, will it?"
(Shh little Sonosuke, You don't know my plans)
Little did the Doctor know that the Coordinates would go wrong. "Well come on!" He said to the others.
(And Pi. Incase you didn't read my last post. The doctor was in the Tardis and TRIED to set the coordinates its going to, To Artists Studio. But it went wrong)
--Manor de Fieghan--
The lift stopped at ground floor. The doors opened to reveal an android (Another one! :D) similar in appearance to a human. He wore a modern variant of the clothing under a samurai's armor (It is not a kimono, before you start asking). His "skin", as you'd call it, was extremely pale, almost seeming white in color. Red lines streaked down from his grey eyes to the corners of his mouth, whose canines were fanged. His red hair was tied up into a tail in the back, while the rest fell loosely above his eyes. A slight grin is seen on his face.
"Now," He held his hands out, up to shoulder length. "Why did you kill him, I wonder?" He put his hand under his chin and pretended to think, mocking them in the process. "Could it be that you were the ones who did this?" The android shook his head, before shrugging. "No, it couldn't have been you buffoons. I was awakened when the emergency escape route was activated. So," he pointed at the one closest to him. "You guys are thieves then, huh? I can't have people stealing my master's property (Haha, butting in to stuff), so we can do this the easy way," his grin turned into a wide smile, baring his fangs, "or the hard way."
--Kurduhm, Residential District--
(Weak to Shadow? What?
Also, I've been noticing a trend where you constantly outnumber an enemy, even with NPCs, then expect said enemies to surrender instantly.)
Obakun was confused by Erk's demands as he fended off the Devils' onslaught. "The hell are you talking about? 'Out of time'?" He slashed upwards, causing black energy to erupt from the ground in front of him.
Torghast raised his hand to the sky, and shadow balls started raining from the sky onto the militia. Mekito slashed at him, forcing Torghast back. "Even so, you can't honestly believe you can stop something that's already in motion."
"What are you talking about?" Mekito had the breath knocked out of him as Torghast drop-kicked him in the chest, launching him into a building near the militia. He spat out some blood as he struggled to get back up.
"Nothing you need to know. Nor will you ever find out!"

((I bet you guys were wondering why I was ignoring the Immortals. Well here they are.))
Vhytel, Arkhov, and Genevra were nearing the bunker. "Explain to me again why we didn't just stay and fight?"
"Remember why Master sent us here. We've wasted enough time in your petty games, it's time we finished the mission."
"Yeah, but... you know we still hafta fight our way to them, right?"
"Exactly my point. Now we only fight what we have to fight. Got it?"
"Yes, o' mighty leader." Arkhov grinned at this while Genevra nodded in agreement.
--Kurduhm, Capitol Building Exterior--
As the Shadow Spawn reached the fissure, rather than attempt to go around it, they simply marched over it, as though it wasn't really there. Once most of them reached the other side, they converged and charged towards the Champions like a tidal wave.
The Beast blocked this with it's axe, before forcing it down the side to the ground. The Spawn that seemingly disintegrated arose from the ground around them, merging into the Beast as a shadowy aura started coming off it. With a single arm, it held down the hammer with it's axe as the Beast swung at him with the other.
Vortak had Dryder running. Several dozen missiles being fired at a constant rate can do that. Dryder, however, was merely running around him, trying to get a shot in without getting hit himself. "Stop delaying the inevitable, Light-Sider!" If Vortak had a mouth, he'd be grinning. "Just hurry up and die already!"
"I don't listen to Dark-Sider scum like you!" Dryder finally had a shot connect. This enraged Vortak as he charged yet again, blade aimed for Dryder's chest.
((I don't expect the enemies to surrender. The characters may or may not expect them to surrender, depending on the situation. And, while I generally just try to make sure characters enter fights that are going on, being outnumbered by local troops and militias is honestly to be expected when you're attacking a large city-state.
...Thank you for pointing out my mistake. It's been corrected.))

"GRRRR!" Turbo gritted his teeth, using every muscle in his body to try and hold back the axe. He shifted his legs to try and dodge the Earth Beast's attack, but this caused him to lose out on some of the grapple. Growling, Turbo opened up his shoulder plate to reveal a small gun that began firing away at the Beast's halberd arm. "NOT BAD! NOW TRY ACTUALLY LANDING A HIT!" Despite this brash taunt, Turbo was becoming quite wary of the Earth Beast's strength.
"They're coming in too fast!" Walton and Rick tried to hold the line, but they started slipping past, even with the Combat Coil's light blasts and Dan's steam pack supporting them. Helena took a blow in the shoulder, and gritted her teeth as the wound drew blood.
"Walton! We can't go on like this!"
"Helena, get out of here! We'll cover your escape!" Walton put up his arms.
"FULL POWER!" Dan turned two valves so that his jetpack, in addition to the spray nozzle, would use up the blessed steam first. "Danger Master! Draw thy Portal Gun!"
"Ohh, yeah! Danger Master. I like it." Rick began laying down his portal while Dan turned around, using both his jetpack and steam nozzle to create a wall of blessed steam. "Walton! Amy! Cause severe pain to any foe that DARES wade through this STEAMING WALL OF EVIL'S ASSURED DEMISE!"
Cecilia, meanwhile, had an idea. "Okay. Blink Drive at 20%..." Vortak was suppressing Dryder's attacks too much. But that was what he was focused on. Cecilia used the Blink Drive to warp ten feet behind Vortak, take aim, fire a bullet at the back of Vortak's head, and then her Blink Drive was set to take her back behind Dan's attack a second after her first warp finished...
...putting her Blink Drive at 118% heat. "Wh-what?!" Cecilia felt the heat- and the pain from a few of the Shadow Spawn's melee attacks. But... why was her Blink Drive overheating? Was it the fissure's effect?
"...H-Help... Too much... heat!"

"Huh." Engie scratched his head. "Hey, did I hear somethin'?"
"POSSIBLY. I AM MONITORING THE PASSAGE AHEAD OF US AT ALL TIMES. "
--Kurduhm, Residential District--
The militiamen scattered, frantically firing at the sky; two of them were killed instantly, while three more were injured. (There were a total of eight men behind cover, and six remained alive after Obakun's attack.) After they stopped, the last three regrouped and began firing at Obakun.
Seeing Torghast against the wall, Erk ran a few steps forward to aim Retribution at his midsection. "'Out of time' refers to the fact that the entire city knows of your presence and will not be happy with that entrance you made."
Serra, from inside the alley, began using Physic to heal the wounded militiamen from a distance.

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry, but this is where we'll be parting!"
Zack rushed Qada with the crowbar, but he couldn't stop him from combining the two Dark Matter vials to create a Dark Sigh, which was promptly blasted at Alf, Zack and Sarah.
Sarah shut her eyes, thinking it was the end... and then stopped. Alf had taken the brunt of the attack- and still stood. He was still Stopped, but...
Zack! Sarah looked in the direction of her brother, who was barely standing up.
"Hmm hmm hmm! I'm afraid that's the end... the Time Residue will be mine! MINE!"
"No... it... WON'T!" Zack leapt up, swinging the crowbar as hard as he could, catching Qada by surprise, before falling to the ground, entirely unconscious.
"OWWWWWW!" Qada reeled from the blow; while Zack wasn't a big warrior, a crowbar was a crowbar. "Why, I'll make you PAY for that! Stupid kid, thinks he can go all Gordon Freeman on ME, the great Salve-Ma- HOW ARE YOU STILL STANDING?!"
Sarah held Alf's jackknife in both hands. "Lay a finger on him and I'll... I'll... I'll cut you into ribbons!"
"That's adorable. HMPH! What's your Physical Attack, twelve? I'm made of sturdier stuff than that!" Qada spun a Dragon Fang in his hand, reaching for a Demon Tail with the other. Sara, however, took her chance, hurling the knife at Qada's arm.
"YEOOWWW!" While the blow was glancing, Qada, surprised at the sudden, sharp pain from the knife, dropped the Dragon Fang on the ground. Sarah promptly rolled in, picked it up, and tried to jab him with it, forcing him back.
"Yeah, you just TRY to mix that stuff up now!"

Desmond's three henchmen that were watching the body shrugged, not at all perturbed, and began blasting away at the android. One began casting the powerful magic Thundaja, one emptied a Volcanic Pepperbox in the android's direction, and one drew a pair of crackling, glowing red riding crops (known to a certain SOLDIER as the Disciplinary Action) and charged the android, holding them out in front of him.
Desmond Skurge himself watched the whole thing through the Disciplinary Action dual-wielder with a stolen PDA. "Hmph. He doesn't know who he's dealing with, does he?"
--Kurduhm, Library Remains--
"Hmm." Luna Wing stowed her arm cannon. "Nothing here. Status report?"
The soldier on the other end said, "We're picking up disturbances all over the place. The capitol's completely blocked off..."
"They've got a plan for that, though- that whole deal with the giant gun and the ambush. How about that mess out there in the Residential District?"
"Think they got that covered. But if there's nothing else-"
"Ma'am!" Someone shouted from the other end. "We're getting reports of a disturbance near the Ironbound Shelter."
"I'll check it out. Where's Lex Rex?"
"Guarding the Judiciary."
"Gyles?"
"Heading out to that cave."
"Phoenix?"
"Covering some of the other ministers..."
((But there IS something there, I just haven't posted it yet))
((Methinks he's asking for something in the library.

As soon as Henchman A raised his staff, the spot where the android was became empty. "It's always the hard way with you thieves." He landed behind them as three high-frequency blades came out of his back, each aimed towards a head. The android shot his hand forward, and the blades rocketed towards their targets with deadly accuracy.
--Manor di Fieghan--
Desmond's three henchmen responded quickly to the sound of the android landing behind him. The Warlock (who had cast Thundaja) stopped the blade in mid-air with a magic missile, the Breaker whacked the blade aside with a critical Disciplinary Action swing, and the Marksman let the Blitz Needle take the hit, stowing it after it was broken.
The Marksman drew two Hybrid Air Cannons, keeping them aimed in the android's direction. "Sir, this thing's a bit high-tech for this kind of fort."
"Remind me why I care? Get it out of my way, one way or another."
The Warlock began creating a large ball of jet-black flame in his hand. The Breaker shouted, "I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU INTO SCRAP METAL, YOU SISSY ROBOT SCUMSACK," and leapt at him, swinging both Crit-Boosted Disciplinary Actions at the android, while the Marksman kept the Hybrid Air Cannons held aloft.
((A word of advice: Desmond Skurge's henchmen are going to be tougher than the average underlings, mainly due to the wide variety of weapons they've stolen. You'll see a lot of what you'd call "Elite Mooks". (Not ALL, but a lot.)))
--Kurduhm, Ironbound Shelter Exterior--
"Hmph! ENOUGH! I honestly don't know why I didn't do this earlier... heheheheh... HA HA HA HA HA!" Qada dodged a desperate jab with the Dragon Fang from Sarah, then drew two more Dragon Fangs. "Say hello to DRAGON BR-"
BLAM! The Stop effect on Alf had worn off, and Alf was furious. "Why, you stinkin' no-good pile of..." Qada had been struck by a blunderbuss shot, interrupting his Dragon Breath attack.
Sarah stepped back as Alf proceeded to chase the corpulent Salve-Maker down, weaving a tapestry of rash profanity as he ran. She looked down at Zack... he was alive, and regaining consciousness.
"Sis... is he gone?"
"Yeah. Alf is chasing him down."
"Okay..." Zack climbed to his feet. "Aagh... my stomach has a heartbeat."
"You're gonna be OK, right?"
"Yeah... that was nothing."
(I refuse to post for anything else until Pi answers us)

The Disciplinary Actions were ineffective to the android, as they merely clanged against him. The blades disappeared back into him, and he appeared above them, upside down in a sitting position. "You guys aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, huh?"

"What is up with all these mushrooms with wings?" asked the KoT, throwing a dagger at one, which did nothing. He also skillfully dodged the two Bullet Bills which headed towards the shelled castle.
The Para-Goombas attempted to swarm them.

WOOSH!" Nylocke wooshed off.
Meanwhile, someone named Ailill, whos name I got with a name generator, watched Nylocke woosh off and heard Lei's story. He went over the strange events that recently happened, first a whole tower disappearing and now something called the LaG riFT and people using it for evil.

Messorem's fist meet with Bowser's(?) and made a loud CLANG sound. "Oh you're faster than i thought." Just as he finished saying that the steel on Messorem's arm liquefied and quickly made it up Bowser's(?) arm solidifying once his whole arm was covered. ((I dont know if this is powerplaying or not but from that close i dont think Bowser(?) could have dodged anyways))
Messorem looked at his with a smug look on his face. "You have two options at this point. You can struggle and lose your arm." Messorem gestured at Bowser's(?) arm and ran his fingers along his neck. "Or we can talk about this. You decide."
((For Pi, if Bowser(?) does fight back but fails to get his arm out he will lose it. I dont know if im aloud to just tear off a character's arm and not have it break any rules. Is that ok? Assuming he doesn't find a way to tear his arm out or decides to talk about it.))

"No idea, King Sneaky! But I LOVE IT! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Plague Knight disappeared in a flash of smoke...
...and reappeared clinging to one of the Airship's masts, where he proceeded to hurl an ominous, bubbling blue flask down at the Para-Goombas. It exploded on contact with one, spreading a freezing mist over the Para-Goomba horde. "Oooops. Better make sure I warm up my ACQUAINTANCES when the mist settles. If I didn't, that would be... COLD! HEEEEE!"
--Kurduhm, Southern Wall--
"Ahem. I merely request your aid in this- DUCK!"
Uther leapt out of the way of the slime monster. "Forsooth! Must such foulness taint our walls? NAY! Ponder thy foolish charge in the next life, viscous villain!"
Uther drew a throwing hammer from his pouch, and hurled it right at the flying slime.

"Cynthia's right." Severa pointed up ahead. "There's something in there- I think Profiteur mentioned it. It'll help us bring justice to the oppressed people of Kurduhm."
"Man, Desidia!" Wes looked at the stopped-up traps. "That was awesome!"
"A useful ability, for sure..." DeRosa scratched his chin. "Perhaps we didn't need to hack the Portal Sector. Ah, well, it saves us time..."
Claptrap rolled down to the end of the hallway... and stopped. "AAARGH! NOOOOO! Stairs! My ONE WEAKNE-"
Spy picked Claptrap up off the ground and carried him, bodily, up the steps. "Did you forget about me? Or your entire team? ...What the... Mon dieu."
In front of the Spy was a doorway leading to a massive room full of treasure! Gold, jewels, treasure chests... "So we're going through a treasury. Perhaps we can stop by again, with a few wheelbarrows..."
"Spy!" Wes shook his head. "We're here to liberate Kurduhm, not rob it! What, do I look like some kind of criminal?!" Technically, Wes DID have criminal activity in his past... but that wasn't here nor there.
"Ahem... but of course."
"We're going to find a secret passage in here." DeRosa began walking up the steps after the rest of the party. "Stay alert."

"Do you have super powers?" The Curiosity Sphere was still there, though, along with the other Spheres.

"Good, it'll get ya to shut up." The Grump Core sighed. "Now why the **** did you not hide that bracelet?!"
"I'll tell you later. Now come here, fellow Spheres... we've got quite a mission to accomplish ourselves... or maybe not." Lei turned toward Ailill. "You... heard that, right? Hmm... do I fight Emell Jee, or Rulze Loyere?"

The Breaker flew into a blood-frenzy, and tossed his crit-boosted riding crops aside in favor of a burning lance.
Meanwhile, the Warlock lifted the Deathly Fireball above his head, and began releasing it at its slow speed...
...which was drastically increased when one of the Marksman's Hybrid Air Cannons blasted the whole thing toward the android. The Breaker, foaming at the mouth, waited for the android to get off the ceiling.
From his headset, a voice said, "You don't know who you're dealing with, machine."
((Doc I love the little side joke about Wes's past.))
Desidia blushed at what Wes said. "Ya really think so? Naw that was nothing! If you think that was cool check thi..." Desidia's sentence was cut short by a swift blow to the head from Sonus who then picked him up and threw him forward. "As red head said we are here to save the people of Kurduhm.
Sonus then walked over to DeRosa and punched him in the back giving him a stern look. "Next time say "thank you" the right way or I will smack that head of yours." He walked away and proceeded to play kick the can with Desidia's body on the way to there destination. Desidia making a loud clang whenever he hit the floor.
He passed by the treasury and gave it a good long look. "I agree with the spy. Next time let bring something to put this loot in." He then entered the room and took the most expensive looking gold coin in there.
"A nice keepsake."
((I have a strange feeling that DeRosa and Sonus are going to get in a fight some time or another and DeRosa seems like a powerful foe.

"For the last time i did not steal the Greenwood Jewel!" Matt yelled at Anna. "He's telling the truth!" Yelled Natalie at Anna. "How do i know your not hiding it!" Anna yelled at Natalie. Until... A green slime attacked, Matt used Wind Slash while Natalie used Lucky Star. Defeating it. "Maybe it was Lance!" Matt yelled just as Lance came out of a bush. "Hey thats not funny!"
-10 minutes earlier in Greenwood Town-
Anna got out of bed and headed towards the Greenwood Jewel. "AHH ITS GONE!" She yelled causing most people to look. "I heard there was a suspicious trio heading' North. They seemed to have alot of jewels and gems." A old man said to her.
-5 Minutes earlier in Ashwood Forest, After they found Matt-
"Ugh its so hot... Hey look its Natalie. We should probably save her, She can do spells and stuff. Plus she might die" Matt said.
-Meanwhile at Ashwood Forest-
"It'll be too soon if we manage to get out alive" Lance said. (Thats the biggest reference to a game you guys get.)
((The only problem with adding them is that I already have Lance as a character in the underground vault, but the one in the underground vault is Lance after the events of EBF4, so maybe your characters are actually in the past while my Lance is in the present? I dunno))
(Maybe after Godcat was defeated, Lance was the only survivor left. And Matt, Natalie, Anna and another version of Lance got sent to the beginning with no Knowledge. That would be a plot twist ending :O)
((Hmm, but then all the enemies in the way and bosses would be defeated, which probably not be good for roleplaying in. Plus I had plans to introduce Matt into Lance's party later on. How about it's an alternate universe or something?))
(How about your lance is a Alternate Universe lance? Thats easier to think of, Or should i edit my post so Lance isn't in their party?)

"Go on in." DeRosa pointed toward the vault. "We're going to stop in here to find a certain... log. It records their vast history of human experimentation. "
"Human experimentation? Yikes." Wes gritted his teeth. "I'm wondering if I should have taught Espeon how to Teleport."
"Jumpluff, Jumpluff!" Jumpluff tried to reassure Wes, even though she couldn't exactly say anything in English.
"So, how are you all speaking English, anyway..." Spy scratched his head. "Some of you are from entirely different planets."
Throughout the treasure room, a loud rumbling could be heard. Coins and small items began scattering around to the edges of the room as a massive... golden... THING rose out of the ground. Behind the group, the stairs rose to block off their escape.
"WHAT. IS. THAT." Severa stared up at it, in disbelief. "Is that..."
The High Treasury had a powerful guardian, widely regarded to be even more deadly than the hallways full of traps that the teleporter had managed to mostly skip. It was a massive golem, built from gold bullion, an electrum Golem Core, and magical magma: the Giltitan!
"Oh, hello." Wes reached for a Quick Ball, and hurled it at the Giltitan... but it bounced off.
"Well. I tried. Get ready!"

Eta and Theta climbed onto the TARDIS, with Upsilon hovering behind them, nervous. "You know, this is my first time defecting... is this thing going to blow me up?"
"Probably not."
Theta looked above her head. Metal. Metal behind her. Metal below her and to her sides...
--Three years ago, Project: Sanguine Tide facility--
Metal.
Metal below her. Metal on her sides. Metal above her...
Tubes, too. And wires. Wires, connected to her arms, her legs, her head...
Then the modification process began. The machine began altering Subject Theta, systematically manipulating her nervous system so that its receptors would respond to different signals, while simultaneously altering her brain until it was more like a CPU.
And it was painful. Very painful. Theta screamed aloud, flailing her arms against the sides of the capsule. They wouldn't give. They were made of metal. They wouldn't give.
Then her body was replaced with machine parts, one piece at a time. The set of automated implements doing the job moved up her body, all the way to her eyes.
"NOOOOO!" Theta tried to pull her eyes away, and...

"Notmyeyesnotmyeyesnotmyeyes!"
"Little sis? Are you all right?" Eta shuddered. She was probably remembering the Sanguine Tide Mechanization procedure. Anesthetic would have weakened the impulses required for the brain conversion, so they didn't use it...
Eta didn't let the Mechanization traumatize her forever, and by the looks of it, neither did Upsilon. But when Theta had been Mechanized, she'd only been eight years of age...
Theta's eyelids were clamped shut. "Notmyeyesnotmyeyesnotmyeyesnotmyeyes..."
"It's gonna be OK, all right?" Eta tried to reassure her sister. "This guy isn't bad. And if he turns out to be bad, we'll just teleport back to our signature, OK?"
"O... kay..."
"Sheesh..." Upsilon shook his head. "Mechanization did a number on her, didn't it?"
"Oh, it did. She freaks out when she spends too much time in places with a lot of metal or machinery... I'm usually the one to search warehouses."
"Not... my... eyes." Theta slowly opened her eyes, then slammed them shut again. "Ifeveryoneisincanwegoassoonaspossibleplease?"
