As we know, the only water in Cradle is in Haven, right?

As seen here : http://wiki.spiralknights.com/images/b/b5/Large_World.jpg there are clouds floating about. How did these form?

With this picture, i've determined that there is water coming from somewhere else, but we've only seen water in haven. Where does it come from?

I have a theory, somewhere, something in the clockworks is letting off some sort of vapor, and it's finding it's way up into the atmosphere and makes clouds. New boss?

(i don't know how to make text links because i'm stupid, and you can't fix stupid)

your link works fine, it's just that i never figured out how

welp, back to the drawing board

Anyways, water may exist on cradle, not sure

im just concerned about how the clouds form and why they're in the outer atomosphere

It may not even be water based clouds... For all we know those clouds could be from Gremlin chemical exhaust.

... stands for I don't think that is what you think it is. I don't think those are cloud (water vapor) so much as space debris. They may be meteors that were trapped in orbit that disintegrated over time.

As you can see on the moon or the lore of the clockworks themselves, there's some sort of force capable of dragging entire planets.

Those clouds are just dust, dirt being dragged by the core.

There are some fountains in the clockworks. And there's freeze themed levels. We are in an ice age, you know. It could be energy clouds. The old mist thing. Oh and don't forget Fehzor's Waterstorm Citadel. Where did Fehzor even go?

No, the only water on Cradle

No, the only water on Cradle isn't in Haven. There's at least one scenario room that has water, plus the last level of Legion of Almire has it I believe.

I think he meant on the surface. I would imagine it'd be a bit hard for water vapor in the Clockworks to make its way up to the atmosphere.

Small lakes and rivers...

Small lakes and rivers... Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

Also, from what I understand the entire planet isn't made up of the clockworks so it is reasonable to assume that there are places on cradle with water we have never seen.

Random thought....

There are lots of jellies on the Cradle, right? And we all know that satisfying squishy explosion they make when you kill them right? For all we know, the clouds could be large clusters of sentient slimes that were obliterated by aspiring knights and scattered into the atmosphere!

All that goo has to go somewhere

The main reasons there aren't large bodies of water sitting around the place is because that would be useless, and since Cradle is a machine built with a purpose, everything on it (and in it) is built with a plan in mind.

erhm...

First I'd like to point out that we don't even know FOR SURE where Earth water came from (the most plausible theory is from the asteroid belt)

Second, I have to point out that there is different "form" (molecule) of water, the one we know is specific to Earth, if there was water on the moon, the molecule would be different. So the "craddle water" could be different and could be from other space, that we don't know, as we have yet to find the answer to those quesitons ourselves...

Thirdly, it's a game... Nick can simply go on and edit and write "and then Nick pourred water onto Craddle and everyone drank!"

It's a game... a great game, but a game nonetheless

If we get Iron Boots then I want Hover Boots too! Nobody is left behind!

"What's dihydrogen monoxide?"

A highly dangerous compound - the following are some of its lethal effects:

Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.
Contributes to soil erosion.
Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.
Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.
Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.
Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks.
Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S.
Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

@Rhagnarock

Um... I got a few objections with your science...

"First I'd like to point out that we don't even know FOR SURE where Earth water came from (the most plausible theory is from the asteroid belt)"

That can be said about everything on the Earth. Do we know for sure where the stone beneath our feet, or the oxygen we breathe came from? For all we know, Tinkinzar could have invaded dozens of planets, raided them of resources, and then used it to make the Cradle. Now that begs the question, is that even relevant to there being clouds in the sky?

"Second, I have to point out that there is different "form" (molecule) of water, the one we know is specific to Earth, if there was water on the moon, the molecule would be different."

Where'd you hear this? Because according to my Chem 122 class, there is the "Law of Constant Composition" (Or the Law of Definite Proportions), which basically says that H2O will always be H2O, and always react the same way as H2O, regardless of where you find it. The H2O on Mars will act the same as the H2O on Earth.

Maybe he's confused and talking about something like H2(deuterium) or O3(ozone)? But, I don't think H2O does that... I do remember discussing in my chem class that if water was formed differently, we would all be screwed (horizontal orientation or something like that) and then we said why it was impossible.
(it's been 3 years since I took chem, okay x_x)

Dihydrogen Monoxide just sounds scarier. For example, you can say something like "Dihydrogen Monoxide has been found in 100% of all cancer patients" and it'll be a completely true statement.
