Hail, Knights! We are excited to announce 'The Gunner Update' coming to Spiral Knights in a future patch.

The Gunner Update aims to make the use of handguns as a primary weapon more viable by balancing existing guns and gun-centric gear as well as some general changes to handgun behaviors.

We will be also be pulling the trigger on some new gunner items:

Two dozen new handguns will be added to the already impressive arsenal of handguns available. These new handguns are designed to offer gunners more options, targeting areas where gunners may have experienced gaps in damage types. So get ready to set your sights on guns like the Phantamos, Gilded Griffin, Winter Grave and Grim Repeater!

But that’s not all, this update still has one last bullet in its chamber: an all-new line of gunner armors and helms will be released, allowing players to truly specialize as a gunner, offering a full range of damage type and status resistances!

The Gunner Update is currently targeting a November release window, so keep your eyes on the Testing Server forum for information on when you can give these changes and new items a shot!
