Wow, you're so lucky to own that! I don't know though. perhaps the Iron Slug isn't quite worth a UV like that. Perhaps the Callahan would be the better choice because of the piercing damage! You will ripped those slimes to bits!
Or maybe you can sell it over the auction house. Something like that must go for at least 500k Energy.

I finally actually read the Iron Slug description... This means that in T3, every monster other than the mini ones, are frightening. ZOINK.
Personally the Pummel Gun is superior to the Iron Slug. I mean, the Pummel Gun has the most knockback of all Magnus-class weapons.

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but the gunner update comes out in January. And there is goin I be a shadow Magnus line with freeze chance, starting with the Magnus. So save it, and craft it into that. Well worth the wait In my opinion

As far as i know, spoilers aren't allowed here. Anyways, the shadow version seems to have a different 3*/4* so it's probably a pvp reward.

I use Callahan. But yes, it is unpopular. But there is some hope that Three Rings will take this opportunity to rebalance the guns.

We have in the past been promised new mechanics for callahan and iron slug. Not just "rebalance"-- new mechanics. Shard bomb style, but in reverse, where the cool hipster weapon ends up as a plausible option compared to similar weapons.
To introduce a new magnus line weapon as just a reskin would be a serious slap in the face.

I think you should go ahead with your iron slug plan cause if you use callahan, the piercing damage will totally get rid of the damage bonus slime medium.

It's too OP and should be nerfed. Same goes for the Cautery Sword.
