So yeah... Guess we have to wait for OOO to fix this :P
EDIT: And now its working Yaaay! :D
EDIT 2: Aaaand.... now its not -~- Might just be because the servers are restarting for the patch, but still. Gonna wait a few minutes and try again.
EDIT 3: Well I got in after 2 or 3 tries, though the server is resetting in 7 minutes anyway. Still seems that there's some problem with authenticating with Steam though. I don't think I'm gonna risk logging off anymore after the patch though >_>

And... now today I'm having
And... now today I'm having this problem again. Game crashed and just gave me a black screen after going back to Haven from the end of a FSC/Vanaduke run. I thought it might have been just my computer acting up, but after restarting the game, and restarting the Steam client too, no luck.
EDIT: Wow. Tried one last time just after posting this and i'm now logging in fine. What the heck is going on?

For what it's worth...
I was again having this problem at the same time as you, Xylka-Mkii. But in addition, I was not able to log into the forums using my Steam account while it was going on. It is now fixed for me, as well.

Steam problems everywhere.
I have this problem too. 4/5 times I can't even log in. In that 1/5th time I spawn in the ready room. Any other action I take causes a black screen and a game crash. This is terrible because a friend of mine was just about to invite me to a FREE SHADOW LAIR!
Another problem with Steam I have encountered is logging into the forums. I don't know why, but it seems like Steam is trying everything possible to prevent me from logging onto these forums. I've been trying to get on for the past 3 hours!

Might be a bad SK server
I haven't had any problems logging in previously but today it simply will not log in. I've tried rebooting, restarting Steam, using the Facebook/web login backdoor, AND my regular, non-Steam account. None will login. The server I'm connecting to is ec2-184-73-192-155 Netstat shows I'm connected. I also did an F2 bug report from Steam and the regular clients. Not sure if they were actually submitted.
Edit: 90 minutes later I'm able to login and play. Server this time is ec2-184-73-214-58

I'm having the same problem too. Few days ago I couldn't log in either, but after some time I could play.
Now I'm waiting whole day already. Popped in to check on AH, and when I tried to enter Haven, I got kicked out. I'm quite tired of this already ahaha
Me and atleast one guildmate has the same problem. Restarting steam does not help. What do :(
