I occasionally craft some 3* gear, but even so, I am well on my way to my second thousand of these things. Could you please allow us to craft shining crystals up as well as down?
The Growing Glowing Fire Crystal Problem
Shining Crystals are WAY too common now, as people will immediately zoom through 4*, only to find that they weakened their gear by making it 5* (unless twas armor or a shield that gave different bonuses, like the BTS).
The problem with crystals is that you need to be at D28 or lower to get Radiants from playing the game as opposed to just paying for them. Someone trying to level their gear from fresh 5* is seriously disadvantaged compared to the top-end players those specific conditions are made for.
Your 2000th Glowing? I thought 848 WARM Crystals was too many.

I understand why they don't want people just farming lower level crystals, but I honestly wouldn't mind if it were really expensive to craft up. Like, while crafting down has a 3:5 ratio, crafting up could have a 100:5 ratio. That way more experienced players would have something to do with all those warm and glowing crystals they'd never use otherwise, but people who haven't been playing long enough to have that many won't be able to take advantage of the system.
For myself, I only have 357 warm, and not even 60 glowing crystals. But I also have only 4 shining crystals and I need 30 to level up each of my currently heated items. I've never made it past level 25, on normal. Haven't even tried a higher difficulty on tier three, and don't have the right armor to do my next rank mission. It's looking like the most efficient way for me to progress will be to grind for crowns to exchange for energy to buy crystals and orbs, and maybe even some gear, with.
seems a lot of players are finding they have ridiculous amounts of lower * fire crystals and wish for something to do with them and disillusioned by the massive grindfest required to get 5* gear leveled, not from heat but rather acquiring radiant fire crystals
crafting up has fairly obvious problems with it, even at crazy ratios - though the crazier the less extensive those problems become (at 50:1 you would need 2,500 to obtain 1 crystal 2* above the original e.g. glowing to radiant, plus the crafting fee in crowns)
apparently unbinding all is implausible because a few people would alt drag and farm in crystals quickly to either sell or level their own gear faster (a fee to unbind limited amounts might make it more practical, all rarities still picked up bound)
allowing vendoring so far seems the best viable option
in another thread somebody suggested a controlled public pool with payout for adding crystals and cost to use in controlled quantities (pretty sure the suggestion was a maximum of 50% required to forge)
having rarities purely private is supposed to be an incentive to craft more gear, it is somewhat, i decided to craft some bombs and bomber gear and discovered that bombing is actually a lot of fun because of the massive backlog of low * fire crystals
my view point is that rarities should be a free commodity, unbound, same as materials, though obviously that isnt public opinion(and has a whole host of problems associated with it) whilst at the same time a veritable ton of people are clamoring for something to do with them, at least here on the forums, so hopefully a change, whatever that may be is in the works
As has been said in MANY other suggestions on fire crystals and orbs, to be able to craft up means that you can just farm low levels and them craft up crystals into radiants. This means that you don't even need to do the hard missions to get the top tier gear anymore, which would make the game even easier than it already is.
If you want something to do with those crystals, ask OOO to allow players to vendor rarities, or have a way to unbind them so we can trade them to other knights.
