Mac OSX 10.9.1
Downloaded Game Client

Question: How do I fix sticky keys?

Pre-Description: First it is not a physical sticking of my keyboard and only happens in this game.
Description: In the game whether I'm moving with WASD or typing quite frequently causes my keys to repeat causing either auto movement or a long line of aaaaaaaaa in the chat box (or whatever key that gets stuck). It is easily corrected by tapping that key again, but it doesn't fix the problem only postpones it on another key this adds an unwanted difficulty to the game. And really hoping for a easy fix.

Thanks,
Sir-Laet

Joypad

So this is going to make it sound as if it is my keyboard that is the problem, but I can assure you it is not (because this is the only game/application I have ever had this problem). But I downloaded Joypad on my iPhone and you can assign keyboard buttons to joypad buttons and I was able to play the game on the joypad without experiencing sticking keys, however, the game is very tough to play on the joypad.

Sticky Keys wise, it may be more of a hardware issue. Could you check whether your keyboard key is not stuck (just because it is not pushed down doesn't mean it's not stuck)

Sticky keys

If that were the case Zaffy-Laffy with all the time I have spent on my computer I think it would have manifested itself in a word document or some other game at least once, but it hasn't its only been this game.

This can easily happen

This can easily happen because your computer cannot handle the programs that are running. Lower your graphics settings and don't run any other programs while playing.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB, is that not enough? I really do think its a Mac & Java issue. Anyone else having this problem on a mac?

I see some old posts with your OSX and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. They had fps issues . One of them dual booted into Windows XP and could run the game fine.

I really don't think its a graphics card issue. I feel my FPS is fine. It just that sometimes my game likes typing aaaaaaaaa or wwwwwwww or sssssss or dddddd or any other character on the keyboard over and over again until pressed again. Oddly enough none of the trackpad uses cause constant attack swings or shield, its only the keyboard.

Found a Semi-Fix!

Alright Mac users who are experiencing this problem, here is a "fix":
Go to System Preferences>Keyboard>and turn the key repeat slider to off position.

Note: Not sure that it always stops the key from repeating when typing AND you still may notice abrupt stops in your characters movement but at least you won't be automatically running a direction you don't want to.
