First it was creating threads about making monsters weaker, then it was threads that were complaining about CE and mist (til it was removed), and now it's threads about hating guilds and individuals. WHY? is there so much hate?

Yup! This is pretty much how I expected this thread to go.
Balancing and game issues make sense, seeing as this is a forum on a game, but the group/personal attacks are just people expressing negativity or dealing with something in their life. Such a shame they do that through hating other people, even if it brings them the attention they so desire.
After 2 years of trying to help OOO in making a better game, some people got lost and just tend to troll or wander around the forum as it is one of the most inactive forum I have ever seen...
Even games like Starbound who are in beta has a more active forum... Path of Exile forum too, Loadout... and so on... The fact that we get 1 post per dev per 6 months (and it's because we pretty much say anything until a GM pops up and say "this isn't going to happen" or that good old copy paste of "please follow the rule of the forum and blablabla"
I often see devs and GM answer to questions on the forum of others game, but SK... nope...
In every other game, if there was a problem like the radiant, the dev would've let us know what they intend to fix said problem...
Like OOO jumped on the "I CANT FIND SHNNING IN FSC" problem by introducing fire crystal... Then someone drank too much and tried to fix the shinning vs radiant drop in FSC and then the guy spilled coffee on his laptop and it's being repaired for the last 2 months before they can fix it...
No but seriously, SK forum are people who got bored of the game because the devs says nothing or doesn't even make their forum active... a simple "yes" or "no" from them could go a long way...
I left a guild and made an awesome speech about being an active guild and being an active guild master... if you don't do nothing and tell people nothing, go in your corner and stay there... Nobody will like you, however (like Hyperion does) if you come and say just a little thing, whether it is a little "hi" or a simple "I know you want it" can make a huge difference...
Little things like that take 30 seconds to do as a dev/game master/leader and will tremendously help the communication between people as you show some "care" to the others..
I don't want a resume of your weekend and what you did with your kids and wife and husband... just a little hey from time to time like you used to do, like most dev do to make sure people enjoy their game
As of now, I don't believe that the dev team of SK actually care if we enjoy the game or not

mr H, GMs are bound not to resopnd to anything that regards the game that isn't strictly controlled by OOO.
first things first, there will always be haters and complainers. there were before mist and there are now.
secondly, I bet that the games you mentioned have a larger team than OOO, and that they post some references because they are devs and not GMs. GMs don't make the game, they are our channel to devs, that make the game. GMs make comments that aren't related to the game, and that is why we have so little GM posts in here.

I'm not bored. contri is surely not bored. fehz and zeddy, idk. if all the forumers would be bored, we would have moved along to another game a long time ago. we like the game and try to enjoy it. we post (or well, have posted) our concerns and ideas. we, the forumers, keep the forums alive, not the GMs and the devs. a single post of a GM or of a dev can do many things, but not save a dying forum; and I don't see this as a dying forum.

and they do. well, nick tries a bit with posts and such (dihidrogen monoxide anyone?), and GMs too make some posts as long as they aren't referred to the game. shamanala tried to speak to atalanta when she was in heaven, and she was vague about everything that was referred to the game; GMs appeared throughout heaven with bucket of snowballs, and I'm sure they did the same. game devs that admit they screwed up are very, very rare. I'm fond of flash games(kongregate), and I can tell you that devs that speak to their players are rare (and esteemed among all). in your gaming experience you may have sticked up with the game forums (and games) with active devs, but that doesn't mean anything. I could make a reference on this, but it's an italian forum and probably a bigger community (although number of alts could be impressive).

There always has to be something that people can come together and hate against. It gives people a common ground. Don't forget people are all hating on OOO's now as well. When the gunner update comes out, people will hate on the new guns, no matter how well-done it is. It's just the way humans work.

In a forum there are always complainer, but there are also people that support the game... and like I said and poiinted out, Starbound, Loadout and Path of Exile forum are more active than a 2 years old game that is going through changes...
One is an early access game, the other a F2P in early access and the other just released as F2P game... the GM and devs are active on them and will answer most of your question if nobody can...
The last time a GM answer - Atalanta telling people after 46 post where to actually go to get a job at OOO, after 2 days of trolling...

I know you mean GMs and devs, but we forum goers do a pretty good job at it. game has its flaws but it's good overall ect.

I really facepalmed at this one. early access, of course devs talk a lot, ours did it too when the game was new. there are many things to talk in a new game (10 things you didn't know of SK is one of the things, the interviews of GMs and devs another one) but once we're done, you hire somebody new (which I really recomend to OOO) or you keep saying things that relates to nothing. don't get me wrong, I would really like a dev Q&A, but I don't think OOO can handle this with its small team. hire somebody nick! it's for your own good!
or we could sabotage some other OOO's game and get new devs when it closes. but that's EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL.

Is that the forums back in 2010-2012 were probably more friendly than modern times. If I ask something, I want a direct answer, or at least some form of evidence to point me towards one. Not just random hatred or bollocks from anyone.

And even if there is any, it's completely justified based on the incredible bulwark of useless threads you have started. Are you kidding me? Forums king? What in any way does that have to do with the game? And don't spout that joke thread stuff. A joke thread is worse than a joke post, as it completely wipes a legitimate one out, unlike a joke post which is still amidst relevant ones.

Now, about viewpoints, people sharing theirs is alright with me. Like how I us my Levi in FSC and don't plan on getting any brandishes. But of course forcing them as if they are truth is not tolerable. Keep in mind I'm aware that sometimes they might be true, but it all depends on how you say it.
