Kale sighed as he wandered through the graveyard. Nothing had attacked him yet, which was strange. He kept on for a couple more minutes, the sound of footsteps slowly began to register in his mind. Kale spun around and was face to face with a phantom. The phantom hissed and attacked, swinging sideways. Kale blocked the hit with his Sudaruska, and swung it in a shattering blow to the head. The phantom retreated a couple of steps, and Kale used this opportunity to switch to his Slug, leveling it at the phantoms midsection. Letting off a round, Kale watched the round collide with the phantom, who had tried to block the shots with its blade. Drawing his Leviathan, Kale advanced slowly, waiting for an attack. Sensing one he threw up his shield, in time to take a slice from the apparation. Feeling the impact, Kale lunged afterwards, driving the point of his blade into the ghost. There was a soft screech as the phantom dissolved into a glowing dot. Kale turned to leave, then heard a large explosion from another part of the level. Turning towards the sound, he could see the dusty aftermath of a bomb's destruction. Taking off at a jog, Kale set off to find the source of the explosion. When he could make out a solitary figure standing next to the crumbling section. Halting his jog, Kale walked a couple more steps until he was in hearing range. Once he was there he called out, "Hey! What are you doing!"
Sho's eyes widened at the call from a seemingly fellow Knight and he stashed his weapons behind his Mantle, almost. At the last second Sho decided this Knight could be an enemy or not even be a Knight. He quickly pulled his Callahan out in his right hand and his Argent Peacemaker in his left and aimed them at the new arrival.
Sho: Don't move or else I pull the trigger! Put your hands up and your weapons down and state your buisness!
Kale shook his head. why is everyone I meet so hostile? I'm armored as a guardian, we'r trained all our lives to protect people, to put other peoples lives in front of ours. Its not the guardians who attack people. sighing, Kale raised his sudaruska up over his shoulder, and secured it on his back. He went to put his shield away, then decided not too, conscious of his hostile environment. Besides, the other knight might even be a bandit. With the shield clasped on his arm, Kale raised his free arm in acknowledgement. Then hesitantly took a step forward to make himself more clear, "I am Guardian Kale Walker! Wanderer of the Clockworks! I ask the same if you! And why you just leveled the place?!
Sho kept his guns aimed at the newcomer but allowed himself to relax the tiniest bit.
Sho: Aye, I'm also a Knight, I apologize for my hostile movement but... you know the situation nowadays. *Laughs* If there was a mob of monsters behind you what would you do Kale? My squad is a few minutes behind us, would you like to join us?

Kale thought about it, wasn't a bad suggestion. He had been wandering alone through the clockworks. "Sure! I'll be right over!" Kale started to make his way through the tombstones. It didn't take him long to arrive at the other knights position. There, he unsheathed his Sudaruska, and asked a question. "I know how things are, but I'm a guardian. Guardians are trained all their lives to protect comrades. Also, I didn't catch your name."
Sho: Sho Marufuji. Though I go as Sho.
"Well then, nice to meet you Sho." Kale replied, as he wandered to a random gravestone and sat down.
He looked around for a moment, "You said your squad was minutes away? Don't see em anywhere, what's keeping them?"
Sho: *Grunts* I wouldn't expect them to keep up with their own promises, let's just wait.
Half an hour passed.
An hour.
2 hours.
Sho: This is strange, even for them. *Motions for Kale to come with him*
Kale nodded, and grunted as he lifted himself off the ground.
He Hefted his shield, "Lead the way."
They trekked through the eerie mood of the Graveyard, amazingly finding no enemies to meet them. The trip was long and stretched on forever. Each of them kept wondering what hat happened.
They soon found out.
The scene was horrific and both Knights simply stood there. The Knight's of Sho's squad hung on a the walls of an open room of the Graveyard, dangling by chains shackled to their wrists, smiles carved into their face, and their bodies tampered in gory ways. A group of Phantom's hovered over the last Knight whom they were tampering with and looked at Kale and Sho. They cackled and ran off leaving the Knight thrashing in agony. The Knight looked at both Kale and Sho, tears in his eyes.
Sho shot the Knight, ending his torment.
They stood in silence for a while until they regained their priorities.
Sho: Lets find the elevator.
They began to leave the scene but stopped, a thumping sound could be heard in the distance. They turned and looked at the direction of the noise and spotted the cause immediately.
Dreadnaughts, a dozen of them.
Kale was almost glad to have something to distract his mind from the torturous scene they had left behind. The dreadnaughts formed a wedge and started towards them at a slow pace.
"Get behind them, I'll keep their attention up front."
Without waiting for a reply, Kale jogged off to one side, firing an Iron Slug volley at the first. The bullet crashed into the raised shield and the monster stumbled backwards into its friends. They crashed into the ground, acting like dominoes. The six left standing lumbered towards him on two sides, unsheathing his Sudaruska Kale got ready to face the Goliaths.
They charged.
Dodging a spear thrust, he slammed his blade into the shaft of the spear. The resulting SNAP echoed throughout the graveyard. Spinning on heel, Kale deflected another spear thrust. Rolling behind the monster, he quickly drew his Slug and unloaded a round into its back. The thing crumpled, and the others seemed to become a little bit cautious. He holstered his gun and and drew his Sudaruska once more, waiting for the enemy to make a move.
Run. Thats all what Sho had been doing for the numerous days his squad had been unluckily gifted with a Graveyard. Just running, his feet hitting the dead grass and haunted stone below him.
Numerous Dust Zombies where behind him, running as fast as their dead legs could carry them. Sho whipped out his Argent Peacemaker from its place and shot a Zombie that as too close for comfort in the legs crippling it. He aimed for the rest, going only for the ahead to make sure no time or energy was wasted. He fumbled reloading the gun and cursed as more Zombies approached, their eyes blazing for the flesh of the alive. He eyed the single Nitronome bomb and considered using it, though his thoughts were interrupted as a Zombie leaped onto him, knocking him down to the floor. Sho struggled to grasp a weapon as the Zombie delivered numerous blows to Sho and each time the Knight grunted in pain as a ribbon of flesh disappeared. He finally grasped a Callahan stashed behind his Deadshot Mantle and fired it at the Zombie, sending chunks of bone and dust all around him. He didn't need to think about using that bomb anymore. He looked at the Zombies that were fast approaching him because of his delay with the other one. He threw the bomb and threw himself behind a tombstone. The bomb went off, and chaos was released. Zombies, tombstones, and terrain alike went up high into the vast expanse of the clockworks and soon after rained down. Sho smirked at the hell he created but suddenly gasped for air as he realized his wounds. He took out a pill from his pack and wait for the lost flesh to regenerate.
Young Knight: “Sho, Sho! Sir, where are you?”
Sho checked his Com-Link.
Sho: “What is it?”
Young Knight: “Oh thank god you’re alive! The squad is just behind sir, we’ll catch up with you in a matter of minutes.”
Sho: *Grunts* Good to hear. Once you get over here set up camp, we’ll stay here for the night. Or whatever the hell night is here. Now haul ass soldier.
Young Knight: “Y-yes sir!”
Sho tapped his Com-Link and the audio feed went off.
