Hmmmm... I only got one costume that cost me like 250K... So I may not be the best for this, but heres a cool looking one imo:
Any stranger hat (Sniped, cool, and dusky may be better)
Scarf
Binocular Visor/Goggles
Com unit?
Any Armour
You look like some arctic explorer dude, I find it pretty cool.

Really depends on what sort of Aesthetic you want...How about a Fused Demo Helmet and some Boosted Plate Mail?
Tip: The Store Depot is quite good for this sort of thing.

IMO fractured mask of seerus (20-30k crowns) + a fencing jacket (150 crowns lol) looks really good together :)
You can probably get the mask cheaper if you buy it from a friend though...

Cheapest: The armor and helm you've already equipped.
Tied for cheapest: Your proto set
2nd Cheapest: Cyclops helm/Mining helm + Fencing jacket/Vitasuit
Looks are subjective. Have a look at what others are wearing and see what you like. Use the preview function at the various armor/shield npcs to see if any of the 1* stuff is to your liking.
Go through the AH and preview different stuff.
Look at the wiki's armor and helmet section.

Well if you want a Bee suit...

Bee suit didn't cost me much, and if would have cost less if I shopped around instead of impulsively buying everything I needed when I realized what I wanted for it. XD
