Allow us to delete the honor gear

At this point largely everything's been said on both sides in regards to the upgrade-the-honor-stuff argument. Honestly I see no reason why we shouldn't be allowed to, but clearly some people disagree. The thing is, the argument that we shouldn't be complaining because we received free gear as a gift is fundamentally flawed in the sense that gifts can always be refused. In this case, anyone who is not particularly pleased with their inferior set of honor gear is stuck with it clogging up their inventory forever, with nothing to be done about it.

In my case, I just get really bitter looking at it, and, frankly, would rather have nothing than a mocking reminder of superior things that I will never be able to obtain. If there are to be no changes in regards to potential advancement of this gear, and it very much seems like there won't be at this point, then there's no point to any of the honor gear that is not of the highest grade (other than to potentially make people who have it feel bad). I don't think it's an unreasonable thing to ask for to give us the option to dispose of the items in some way, whether through direct deletion or through selling it to a vendor for some customary fee.

I appreciate the nature of the intended gift, but I don't think it can really be called a gift unless the option to turn it down exists.

You could have refused if you hadnt acepted the mail... the option did exist at somepoint.

I'm sure you could file a support request to have it removed from your inventory. With all the hub-bub about it, I think the GM's would probably be fine with it.

These aren't bound gear,

These aren't bound gear, they're permabound (just like your proto armour, sword and gun, OCH hammer and bomb, groundbreaker, green ward, etc etc)
Permabound items cannot be unbound nor vendored.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the email gave options for "Accept and Delete" or "Accept", I don't believe there was an option for actual refusal. Also, as mentioned, selling to a vendor does NOT work.

@Qitian-Dasheng, If you don't accept the mail, you don't get the items. If you don't accept the mail after 30 days, the mail and items get automatically deleted.

Interesting definition of "gift"...

"If you don't accept the mail after 30 days, the mail and items get automatically deleted."

Technically in general, the items attached to the mail are returned to the sender, but considering the Sender isn't something that can't be sent to, the items are just deleted.

True...

but many people have not only accepted this without knowing you can upgrade it, and/or wanted the battle stand that you get with it.

However, it isn't that great of an item. All I don't understand is just that you should be able to vendor it. Why can't you? I'm a little confused...

I suppose for the same reason you can't ever unbind/sell Protogear.

...None, really.

'Just keep it for novelty value'?

Idk. Not like I'd give mine away, in any case.

No no no

You can't unbind or sell proto gear because you must have some equipment to use. If you could loose that then you could possibly loose all your gear if there was some mistake. That gives a good reason for no removal of Protogear. So, with that reason, then why should be keep this? There is actually no reason.

I'm not saying to unbind it, but why not vendor it? (Not that I'm for this or anything. But I'm just asking: why bother to do that in the first place?)

That's silly, because you can never vendor/trade the items you're wearing. So you would always have gear to wear even if you sold your proto gear.

It sounds ok to me...

I think I've said this in some other post...
Whenever I look in my inventory, I marvel at my selection of weapons. My eyes scan down from a Divine Avenger, to a Final Flourish, to a Gran Faust, to a ...... Tempered honored blade?!
Ever since I was hacked, I didn't make a point of keeping up with the missions again. It seemed pointless to redo all the missions, especially since I've done them all before. I never bothered past T2 missions. Now my punishment seems to be having a sword stuck in my inventory that I'm not gonna use...
I have OCD, so it annoys me REALLY BADLY whenever I see that, which sucks for me
I know I should just ignore it, but it would be nice to be able to just delete them...
And so I agree with this post topic
