Vanguards
There are plenty of things called Vanguard. Including a certain class in another game that is all about spamming rockets and trolling with mines!
I still think Champion sounds higher ranked than Vanguard though.

The problem with Vanguard is that it isn't really a prestigious title, it describes one who is at the forefront, not necessarily the greatest.

Well Champion does sound hecka better than Vanguard, even though it seems to be treated as less prestigious.

But when I get to Champion, I'm staying Champion. Unless they introduce the magical tier 4!
