The cause of your massive lag everytime you press button right there, there wasn't a "revamp", more like they added 2 more twins. :P
Just wondering if they wake up aswell which causes the lag atm.
I knew that before maps were implemented, but I didn't see where it was. thanks for telling me where it was, I was curious.
EDIT: Just went to check. I stand corrected. I was right about a decoy arena, however in the OP's picture the arena to the right is indeed the old arena and you are teleported to it shortly before getting teleported to the new arena.
it should be just spawining the twins and initiating the fight. teleporting isn't that intensive, as shown by GMs when they need to use that superpower.
If teleportation occurs then why is there a portion of the map by the starting area that is filled in vs not?

I don't claim to know what happens behind the scenes here because it honestly kind of confuses me too, but I can attest to some of the lag at the start of the fight being worse than usual as of this summer.
Because maps are weird like that I suppose.
All I know from my run is I went from here (fake arena used for scripted Roarmulus intro) to here (pre-5/21/2014 boss arena(?)) and finally ended up here (post-5/21/2014(?) boss arena).

Huh. So it teleports you from decoy -> original -> new? Which would explain the lag? I do not know!
It is cool how the arena changes between the time before and during the phase of that boss battle. Where damage registers before the battle begins, however, is an oddity in itself. Try attacking those two circles on the map before summoning the twins and nothing happens. But then again, because that is where the twins are due to appear, I suppose that it makes it easier in the sense of coding. But within the game itself, I would not understand how invisible spaces would repel bullets.
Perhaps that's the old RT arena, from before that artifact station thing was put there, and it spawns the breakable blocks on both platforms? It always lags when the button is pressed for me due to the boxes, I'm guessing that it's doubled now or something. I highly doubt that there's teleportation.

Most ppl know of the fact that if you use the sera/bk's ray, and run FAR away, the sprites can be left behind.
So, on one of my runs, I tried to used the ray a moment before the fights starts, to break the blocks as they spawn in.
This happened. So tp-ing confirmed? If not, than why did my bk decide to take a break from the fight? -.-
Same thing happened to me a while back. Flitter just made a shriek and then disappeared and I was super worried. D:
The sprite still shows on the character portrait, but it's not following you and its skills are unusable.
