Since I pretend to have too much respect for all of you to consider the possibility of you spending 40-50 USD on a ridiculous elephant hat that only exists in some MMO, we will discuss the awkward wording in the description instead of the actual hat as the bulk of us can afford to read that. Yes, it is your money to flush down the toilet, and yes you can talk about the actual costume helmet too.

Modeled after noble beasts known for their strength and fearlessness, this helm strikes such terror and respect in its wearer's enemies that the deeds will be talked about for ages to come.

As in- "The Realtor who sold me my house was a fearless and strong man that resembled an elephant.... which was strange, until I saw.... THE DEEDS HE HAD IN HIS BAG. God they were magnificent! Golden and wonderful they were, I just had to make the purchase."

Or perhaps maybe...

"Can you believe that one actually bought into this elephant hat we fashioned from random bits of cardboard!?!? We're never going to let them live down this deed that we've committed.. we even told them that we marked it "down" from 3,500! Hahaha!"

I had two choices...

I had recently been given $50 into my Steam account. I could have either spent it on 20k Energy to buy this Elephant Helmet with no stats, or I could have bought Skyrim and all of it's DLCs due to a totally random sale along with Five Nights at Deady's AKA Heart Attack Simulator 2014. (That's what someone reviewed it as, anyway.)

I went with the logical decision. Now I get to find out what Heaven and Hell is like! Take that you so ridiculously overpriced that it almost makes my soul hurt cardboard cutout helmet! I have rejected your deed, and I still have cash left over...

And even Cronus proved it was 19KE all along. I mean how many Njthug's does it take for OOO's to change a lightbulb, because that didn't seem like a bright idea to me. Sure it's a costume, no stats, who gives a flying flicky... but 50$... let that sink in.

For one time elephant costume.

It's like... "saving all my E for gunner update... NAH I THINK I'll BLOW IT ALL ON AN ELEPHANT!"
I want to know how many of these things were sold sadly...

I hope this won't get me temp banned.

So I don't know if anyone has seen this in Spiral Spy (probably because alot of people use it) but this elephant helm was in the files for a loooong time. I don't really remember since when but I think it was added with the cakestrophe event and these military hats. Just wanted you guys to know that they just implemented something that they had for a long time. And I mean the colours are like the tri-guard stuff so it's really not a big thing that they don't dell reskins for the first time in some months. Oh and btw why are people still playing this? I have given up long time ago. Well have a good day.

Ah, there were A LOT of better ways to put this item into game, OOO choosed the worst possible overpriced 4/8-hour offer. Too bad that OOO doesn't care about people buying energy anymore. They could put into Energy + Prize box 2-weeks promotion - a lot of players would like to see promo like that again, at least one on half a year. Also they could make new permament offer like Battle Pack - even for price of 50$, if they will add rational number of energy and some usables, it would be totally worth it. Instead we got only costume for 50$... laughable.

Apparently there was quite some feedback about how users were only purchasing energy for the boxes, blahblah something about the official user poll they sent out etc

--> Boxes are now separate from energy purchases.

Also, if you think about it from an economic standpoint, demand for energy is much lower now that it's not required to you know, play the game. I doubt anybody purchases Fire Crystals (well, past 3*) for energy, so if you package Energy with the thing that people are actually being silly whales for (prize boxes), you end up devaluing it a lot.

I have a strong feeling that it refers to definition #1, not #2.

As I said yesterday, I think it's kind of amusing that the Elephant is the symbol of a certain political party (hehe). It's likely that only 1% of Spiral Knights players will be wearing this hat :P

Lol, except the bulk of our cool items cost like 40 bucks, if not hundreds when they first come out whereas most of the actual new and interesting stuff that valve released was around 10 at most when I played and looked regularly. Not that it even makes much of a difference if it's Valve, SEGA, Nintendo, selling you the overpriced nothingness.
