Can I get it confirmed if the new whisker costume mats can replace the Black Kat Cowl as the reward for defeating Margrel? I understand it says the whiskers drop for your whole party.

You better phrase it better then
If you happen to perform (accidentally, we assume) a Dark Ritual (yes, THAT dark ritual) and survive the encounter, you may find yourself in possession of a Black Kat Cowl or a Wicked Whisker
This doesn't make me believe that both can drop but only 1 at a time per Dark Ritual (yes, THAT dark ritual)

If you own a book you'll get both. If you're in a party you'll just get a whisker.
I think that's correct. It just makes more sense anyways.
The Wicked Whiskers won't replace the Black Kat Cowl.
