Alternate Crystal Bomb Line - Ice Shards

Both the Splinter Bomb and Dark Matter Bomb have alternate status-inducing lines, but the Crystal Bomb is sorely lacking; I propose the Ice Shards line to fill this gap.

Justifications:
-The Rock Salt line counters a piercing-type family (slimes) and the Sun Shards line counters a shadow-type family (fiends), so it would make sense for the alternate Crystal Bomb line to cover an elemental-type family which is weak to elemental (i.e. constructs).
-The Rock Salt line and Sun Shards line both cause crowd control statuses (shock and stun, respectively), so it would be reasonable for the alternate Crystal Bomb line to cause a crowd control status as well. Freeze fits this bill nicely, as Fire, Curse, and Poison are less crowd-control oriented.
-Damage scaling would follow the same patterns that the Sun Shards and Rock Salt lines do, when compared to their raw-damage counterparts.

★★★☆☆ Ice Shards
Damage Bonus vs. Construct: Very High
A shard bomb surrounded by fragments of Moonstone and Hailstone. It's cold as ice, and willing to sacrifice your foes.
10 Blue Shard
3 Ecto Drop
2 Owlite Feather
1 Hailstone
3 Advanced Orb of Alchemy

★★★★☆ Hail Shards
Fair chance of causing Moderate Freeze
Damage Bonus vs. Construct: Very High
A solid chunk of Hailstone with an explosive surprise inside. Retrodes hate surprises.
15 Blue Shard
4 Ecto Drop
3 Owlite Feather
2 Hailstone
1 Perfect Snowball
3 Elite Orb of Alchemy

★★★★★ Hailstone Barrage
Fair chance of causing Moderate Freeze
Damage Bonus vs. Construct: Very High
A large chunk of Hailstone primed with explosives. When you absolutely, positively got to freeze every constuct in the room, accept no substitutes.
20 Blue Shard
5 Ecto Drop
4 Owlite Feather
3 Hailstone
2 Perfect Snowball
1 Everfrost
3 Eternal Orb of Alchemy

Your suggestion might be

Your suggestion might be recognized by the users but definitely not by the developers(applies to all suggestions).

The idea seems balanced to me so... yea.

No to Ice...

It's all good but you must remember that shard bombs are meant to be spammed. This will more often than not lead to your bombs breaking their own ICE status. A better status would be Fire or Poison, also with so many relying on FSC for CR an Undead boost and not a Construct one would entice them to craft this bomb.

I covered my reasoning both for a Vs Construct bonus and the Freeze status in the justifications, and I still think it would be the best way to go with it. Yes some shards will break their own Freeze, but this is a blanket complaint to apply to all damaging Freeze weapons (Cryo Driver and Glacius, namely) and the mechanics behind the status itself.

In addition if you read descriptions of each of the 4* bombs, you'll notice something: the Heavy Shard Bomb (normal) mentions effectiveness against "everybody", the Heavy Dark Matter Bomb mentions Gremlins, the Ionized Salt Bomb mentions Slimes, the Heavy Splinter Bomb mentions Beasts, the Radiant Sun Shards mentions Fiends, and the Heavy Crystal Bomb mentions Undead.

Constructs are the only family left out.

I would still like a new bomb...

With Glacius you only get freeze on the charge (which is much longer than any shard bomb, the charge time that is) and in general the player has control over whether they break that freeze. The Cryotech line gets freeze all around and both it's bouncing bullets and charge are likely to ruin it's own status, but still once you freeze an enemy you have a choice to unfreeze it.

With a shard bomb an enemy can get hit 3 times with one bomb, this means that freeze is even less likely to stick than the Cryotech, and with the constant spamming most of the time enemies will not be frozen.

A typical bomber's path around a room is looping (circular or some other path) any enemy that does get frozen will end up a future obstacle.

I do agree that freeze is the only other movement restricting status I just don't think it would function that well on a shard bomb (or any multi hit weapon for that matter).

(pity freeze is the only one left)

Here's an idea

How about we make it so that invincitinks can still inflict status? That would solve some things... Especially if we never do get the shard bombs dealing full damage.
