I'm an old spiral knights player, i loved everything about the game besides the energy dungeon system, which is why i stopped playing. I noticed now they removed it, which is cool and why im starting to play again. The issue is, i've read that not as much people play this anymore and i'm scared that oneday the game will die while im still enjoying it. Can someone please give me any info on the population, health of the game and it's life span prediction?

If you don't mind me answering your question with another question, why do you need this information from someone else? You can quickly hop on game and still meet players, as I'm sure you know this game is still running on servers with promos to boot.

Sorry, but no one can promise any mmo will last forever or when one will stop running. I've realized this and others may have notice that no one game is going to entertain everyone for the rest of their lives all the time. :x

Nothing I know

Well, I'm no statistician, but I can link you this

http://steamcharts.com/app/99900#All

Though that's only Steam players, and I have no idea what proportion of SK players sign in through Steam.

We also haven't had a major update in over a year, and the lead designer has left.

That being said, the game is still fun, and there are still plenty of people playing it. So play now, and if it does die, isn't it better to have fun now than never have the fun at all?

exactly

People have been talking about the game dying for at least 3.5 years. And it's still going and still great fun. I don't see any reason why the game doesn't have many months of life left, during which you can complete the game anyway.

In short, everything must end, but until then enjoy it. By the way, this advice also applies to your entire life, which will someday end.
