Man, why can't they just stop making these Promo Boxes & just start selling the items outright on the Supply Depot? I really like that Shield, but the despite the chances, I'll probably just be getting another Crest Accessory...

It's a whole lot easier to pair this red with armor than the old recon yellow.
As much as I love that Rhendon fellow, I'm going to keep sporting my Recon Ranger equipment. I'd rather be considered as an "Elite Recon Ranger" than a "Normal Recon Knight" anyways.
But dang that red looks good.

Since they never tell you precisely what was included in updates nowadays even if it's not secret, here are some things this update brought:

Ah fun, what looks like a Bitter End reskin with much, much better odds of obtaining it. That makes me pretty happy.
Also yeah wow the red looks wonderful, and will be super easy to match for many more players than the yellow of the Recon Rangers one.

I got someone to test a level 1 variant, and it appears to behave identically to grey owlite shield. If there is any difference, it would have to come as the shield leveled up, which would be unprecedented. I would certainly not bet on it being functionally unique.
I wonder how many times have you tried to predict that the next update is the gunner update and failed already, Srsly, at this point these kind of comments from you just feel like being pointed at with a flashlight, it only causes me to feel mildly bothered and look away.

Yes the shield is a hint of what's to come next, the final gasp of SK before everyone leaves and then ded gaem GG all.
While the fact that it's just a reskinned event is disappointing, this promo's odds are a welcome change - no more 1% tier! Nice to see that the worthwhile items are obtainable at realistic rates this time around.

Wow, Pandafishie! Where do you find such nice, large versions of the promo pics? I love the promo pics OOO makes for the main page and FB posts, but I can't always find nice, big and clean copies of the pics. Is there a database somewhere I should know about?
Yea, as mediocre as reskins like this are, the odds are much nicer than they have been. Credit where credit is due, I suppose.
Look closely at the Hazardous Brigandine, then at the Ignition Armor. Yes, they're different, but I feel like the Hazardous costumes' red could be made darker and more vivid to provide greater contrast with the Ignition set.
So this is a promo with the armour of another promo, but in the colours of yet ANOTHER promo. Either OOO wanted to do promoception, or they've done so many promos that it's impossible for another outcome to be made.
Can we talk about how these promo costumes have the wrist spikes that the dangerous promo should have?
I mean even the Recon Ranger NPC's have the wrist spikes on their costumes...
Will they ever fix the old costumes to match the source?
The dangerous promo's idea was that the costumes were made from the bits of fallen rangers, whereas this promo has completely in-tact costumes.
However, if that was the case, the diablo helm might benefit from having both horns unless its costume lore is similar.
