Lets face it there are some players out there who turn their nose up at some loadouts, some just do horrible things when you play with them, others are a pain to play with or just have no experience playing with your playstyle.

Trying to blast bomb a fiend/undead compound, with a teammate who has the weapons to deal with the kats and greavers that show up there but refuses to fight since your only viable weapon is a blast bomb.

You have a spike trap at your back, low health and oilers closing in. What does your teammate do? Activate scorching barrier run into the oilers, then run back to you with lit oilers tailing him.

Once when I was a knight elite in vana there was this vangaurd that was horrible at his job. He was pinned by a trojan. I saved him but I died In the process(He was gonna die.) Then they kick me out even though I saved someone.

I've said this one a long time ago.

Once in a random Arcade party, we found a compound and decided to go through it. Well, it was slime/fire themed. Some guy came in equipped with the Almirian set, excluding the shield, which was a Swift Strike. Do I need to say much more?

Anyways, he went in trying to hide behind the players if he could, and when ever he got a chance, he would try to Pulsar a Lumber into other players. He died very quickly and left soon after. At least I have the right to say I made it through Compound Scumbag alive. Yep, a Ironmight Plate Helm and Volcanic Plate Mail combo was never more useful.

Well you can't blame your team members for behaving poorly. That's like blaming the mecha knight companion, or saying that the trojan just wasn't turning his back to you. The bottom line is that you still lost, and that you just weren't good enough to solve the situation- your team has nothing to do with that. Your mistake may have been selecting poor team members for your run, but it was still your mistake if you are salty about it afterwards.

I'm a top notch player, but suppose in the middle of an FSC run I whip out a Nitrnome I have kept hidden from my team and start blasting things around. My team which had been used to me Blitzing and DA spamming will now find slags flying about in an unpredictable manner.

You can pick your teammates but remember that they are human and could hit an evil streak without you knowing.

It lies all in the weapons

Teammaste with weapons like:
-Pulsar (except in a few levels)
-Voltedge
-Blast Bomb
-Divine Avenger
-Calibur
-Dark Retribution
are indeed annoying.

Teammates who are just playing bad probably don't have the experince yet.

Teammates who want to troll are okay as long as it is original; if you can't manage to survive longer than they, you are just too bad. Let them have their fun, unless it's in a Shadow Lair, but i don't think many people troll there.

If you were doing so intentionally to mess with us, I would get you kicked off go solo myself, and then rebuild the party.

If it were a shadow lair, I suppose I would talk you out of it before kicking you.

They lost their emergency revives, of course I'm not a totally evil person, after that I went to spamming VTs to keep them safe.

I also point out when I plan on bringing a bomb and I ask if it is Ok. (of course when I was asking I had the VT in my hand so they had no idea I had a Nitronome).

As a general rule I try not to kill people without an emergency revive.

imo people who think it's ok to mindlessly follow others in combat without paying attention to what's happening around them.

An example, the guy/gal leading greavers into another person. Sometimes the person has the massive pairs of nitronomes to hide and cloak in the proccess.

Or the person who brings a VT to a quiksilver nest and use it...I just...what.

Some of mine

Once i had this knight who brought an Ash of Agni to Compound 42 and used pretty much all of the time. Everybody was fine with it, because it was just hilarious.
I myself did and a Tier 3 Arcade run only with Thwack Hammer; also did this together with a friend in KoA, trying to kill each other, while the other two teammates were just fighting as usual.
Or joining someone only with Proto gear, stating it's op and everybody goes okay with it.

Then there are those times when i accidentally join someone with simply the wrong weapons, maybe with a toothpick in a slime depth, and i just go on using it.

Ever since I got sick of playing with the greater half of the population, I restrained my parties to reliable guildmates/friends or solo. Solo is easier for getting things done your way, such as how I like to put all the Grim Totems in the way of the Wheel Launchers in the first Gate room in FSC depth 24. Most people I play with like to carry it all the way outside the room and use the Heavy statues instead.

Anyway on to bad teammates...

Noobs:
I'm sorry, I just don't have the patience for noobs.

People who interfere with my playstyle:
...Such as people who knock monsters out of the Electron's radius before it detonates, run around charging a weapon while aggro'ing a Trojan and waiting for me to kill it.

People who beg and complain:
This really gets on my nerves more than it should, when people complain about lag, especially. Seriously, I live on the corner of the server's reaches, with over 300 ping on US and 400 on EU and you people are complaining? I'd consider myself a lucky bastard to even get 2 bars.

People using brandishes to knock the enemy I'm trying to shoot with a charged blitz/alchemer.

People running up and killing the giant slime while I'm stacking catalyzer charges on it.

People waiting until said catalyzer charges have been detonated, then stealing the kill.

People in FSC waking up all the zombies in a room filled with spike traps (Should start bringing a pulsar as a counter).

Mechaknights.

NPC's you rescue in levels (make excellent decoys though).

People who randomly join your party without first asking if its OK to join, or join after a little while with no response from you because your in an arena fight with a horde of monsters.

Let's actually keep this on topic. I like dis one :D

Well, my worst experience was ages ago. Back when we had mist revives.

As a F2P player, I didn't have much energy to spare. I joined a random party doing a Vanaduke run and managed to land a horrid player who believed he could take on the whole world.
At the time, I wasn't fully 5*, so I was willing to let him take the blunt of the damage, and just sat back for the grind. Suddenly, I realize this player sucks, and he dies within seconds. Because I thought that I could rely on him, I wasn't really playing that well and just spammed a few bursts of my combuster and was dead pretty quickly as well.
This genius is like, "oi dude. pass me some mist. I got dis. fo real."
I was like eeeeh, fine. I hand him some mist for a revive and watch him run around, not revving any other players and dwindling his health. Not thinking much of it, I let him die, revived and we went onto the next few levels.
Once again, I find my whole team dead, and this guy asking for another mist revive. Almost having wasted all my precious mist, I was like eeh, but then I gave him some due to his begging, letting him continue to blunder his way throughout the level, literally taking us nowhere, and he hadn't even put thought to reviving us with his health.
Needless to say, he died again.

This got my blood curdling. I shouted out into Vanadukes lair, "IF YOU WANT TO GO HERO MODE, DO IT PROPERLY!"
Declaring my revenge on the game and the player, I revived myself and completely annihilated the entire lair. With zombies strewn about me, my dead team-mates watched in awe as a 4* player kicked ass around the map, treating zombies as though they had the health of dust bunnies.

Setting my mighty combuster upon my back, I stepped onto the elevator, knowing all eyes were on me. I then left the party, having made a dramatic scene, completely reducing this "vanguard" back to his rightful place as squire.

>:D

And that is my worst team experience.

How about you guys? :D

My worst experience.

Well there was one guy who wanted to make everyone pay to run JK with him.... he was a knight, we were all vanguards... He died quickly (Idiot).

Worst was probably just a guy who thought he was a hotshot and repeatedly sprinted in at slimes with a FF and tried to kill them, pushing them away from all mah Biohazard charge shots... he died too.

Whoa, I am amazed that someone who has no idea what special damage is and how it works could reach knight rank, maybe the game is way too easy like some peeps say... or maybe not, I blame missions.
I remember one time I had a very depressing conversation with a newb knight that went something like this:

Newb: Hi, do you know where i can buy stuff?
Me: You're standing in front of the auction house.
*I point towards the AH and the dude goes, checks it out and shortly replies*
Newb: Where do i get crown? (at this point it already gets ridiculous because he should have already figured that out in the way from rescue camp to haven)
Me: you go to the clockworks or do some missions, monsters die, you get crowns.
Newb: Where are the clockworks
Me: Did you even do the haven missions yet, all the questions you're asking me should have already been answered by them.
Newb: Yes. (annoyingness intensifies)
Me: Ok, go do them again, and this time READ what the npcs are trying to tell you.
Newb: Where are missions? (FFFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffffffffffffff)
Me: (I don't remember quite well what I told him but the thing is that I showed him where to find missions)
Newb: I cannot start missions
after trying for a while to get him to start that mission as hard as I could the dude still failed and failed and I literally ragequit.

Now getting on topic my worst experience with other players in a party was probably when I was 3* and tried to do a JK run with 2 randoms and a friend of mine, we were having a bit of a hard time because we were all 3* knights in that party, suddenly one of the random dudes starts calling me and my friend mexicans (because my friend didn't know english so we spoke in spanish between us, also my name was Rodrigoch back then, wich is a spanish name he probably knew), along with insults, words like "immigrants", racist comments and other kinds of disrespectful trash talk that was really horrible.
Shutting up is not a thing that I particularly like to do, so I answered back at him and the flame war started, and in all that mess i remember quite well this thing that he said that is very disgusting, he said that "us mexicans" cross the border illegally all the time, F#@&$ their women and create "anchors like you" to stay on their country, of course he said it in other words that were worser than that and I'm obviously not going to use them here.

The funny thing is that neither of us were mexicans nor we were living in the US, but I didn't tell him that, because I don't owe anyone jack#@€$, especially to the likes of him.

Later on my friend and the other random left the party because they were really dying a lot, only me and that other person were left... we were almost reaching the boss level and I was willing to let his insults (that were a constant thing he did whenever he found time to do so) slip as long as I was able to get my hands on a few tokens, but a twisted turn of fate decided that I was going to die before that, and what a surprise it was when he didn't care to revive me (and this was in the time where we had health share revives), we both knew that we were not getting that boss killed without one another, I know he knew this perfectly well, he was the party leader and could have kicked me a long time ago before I died if he wanted to do so but no, he let me there abandoned, I was so mad that after I revived with energy I threw some final nasty words at him and went solo. I did kill the Jelly king, however, at the cost of wasting some of my prescious energy... such a shame.

As of now I do not let other people give me a hard time in my game experience, because I don't carry other people and I won't do that ever again, I haven't helped any newbs in their levels either, even when I was a guild leader I rarely ever "helped" newbs, because I came to the realization that carrying people into levels doesn't help them at all, doesn't teach them a thing, it only makes you waste your time to get them some money while they become more dependent on others, at the first sign of a noob party I go solo immediately without a word, I always do better alone anyways.

There are several kinds of

There are several kinds of bad players pointed out

Impatient and unforgiving ones that will kick you for having a "bad weapon" even if that weapon is normal type since you didn't know what floor you were joining. Or run into danger without understanding the enemy.

Mean players are ones that intentionally try to hurt players either through the way they play, lack of assistance, or their words.

Ignorant players may have great potential but lack the patience to read the tutorials.

In the end, [Equus ferus caballus] managed to kill everyone but me, even though [Equus ferus caballus] tried bumping lots of enemies into me and triggered tentacles near my hiding spot during the boss battle! [Equus ferus caballus] was disappointed when I would not let [Equus ferus caballus] into my Arcade run a few days later.

There was also that one person who intentionally sent bullets into me during arenas when I had to stop and type. You know, instead of just leading them elsewhere or shielding me.

I honestly can't say I've

I honestly can't say I've ever played with someone who was deliberately trolling or sabotaging the party. Sure, sometimes you get people who are still learning the ropes, and sometimes you get people you just don't syngerize with. Sometimes you get people using silly weapons (there's this one guy who brings a Big Angry Bomb everywhere and it's the best thing), and sometimes you get people who make a few honest mistakes. You guys should move this to

You guys should move this to the New Recruits subforum. It just seems like something newbs ought to read.

And on the subject of newbs, I've been playing this game for roughly 4-5 weeks and am already a Defender Elite working on my last Hall of Heroes checkpoint.

I really, really hate scrubs that are always going around telling me how to fight. They see me holding nothing but bombs and are all like 'lol, bombs suck'. Of course, I usually show them up by being the last one alive.

One place you never want to have an open party is when you're going up against the Roarmulus Twins. Goddamn, that place is like a spaz magnet. The boss and the stage aren't the hard part. Your teammates are. Especially if they're a trigger happy, Pulsar toting scrub who doesn't know how to aim AWAY from the switches.

Unfortunately, RT is the most redundant, yet most reliant in teamwork, which is rare among most new knights at this point, or through certain, seemingly experienced knights that have near to no idea what they're doing. It took me an hour to do the boss because everyone entrusted a single person to do the switches; turns out he had no idea what to do and said that the RT's becoming vulnerable was all about luck... Ugh.
Back on topic, I haven't really had any bad experiences Defender Elite and below (Before the Energy Update).
What really ticked me off, however...

  • Those who acted like the big boss of the party, and I dare quote that Defender as my time as a Knight Elite, "rev me NOW! ... this is you last chance!!!!!!!"
  • The type of people who want to control and abuse the role as party leaders; As a Knight Elite again when field items could be traded, I was in the second floor of RJP with just one more room left. I was at full HP, the Defender (See the pattern?) at half the HP, and the other KE with nearly full HP. The Defender decided to sit at the goddamn ready button in the room before the treasure and elevator and wait for us. After 10 minutes of the Defender doing absolutely nothing but sitting at the party button, I lost it... I went to the spike trap room, lost most of my health, and used all 3 of my health capsules (I was the only one who had some; I wanted to make sure he wouldn't get ANYTHING from me) before soloing, and yes, I made it through just fine. Good riddance.
  • People who spam the Polaris instead of using it accordingly / tactically, with no benefit to the party; note that I didn't say anything about USING it that made me angry.
  • People who kill monsters with catalyzer tags,
People who KILL monsters with CATALYZER TAGS,
PEOPLE WHO KILL MONSTERS WITH CATALYZER TAGS

Thanks for reminding me of all those bad memories OP <3

You're missing out on soooo much fun, though... Catalyzer weapons are, in my opinion, one of the most unique and enjoyable guns to use besides the Tortodrone guns (Which I see almost no one using).
Stacking double layer charges on two enemies at once helps lag the other members of your party :b

I generally don't have a problem with candlestick keep rushing (Thanks to MSI Med and previous Kat Farming "experience") - I just hate those rooms with the fireball in the middle and 5 candles, and when lit, spawn (7?) Howlitzers... Hate hate hate hate hate.

@Cross-Over

Tortofist charges wreck stuff. A good spread can put up a solid wall, and CTR +6 means you can put down a new wall shortly after the previous one expires.
Not to mention it gives gunners a 1-2 melee attack + knockback, even if the attack speed is slow.

As for Catalyzers - I've only had one friend hold off attacking a monster (giant slimes) that I've been stacking with catalyzer charges. The rest charge in and kill it before I can detonate. And a party of catalyzers is actually quite fun.

On topic: Further things I hate about teammates:
Spamming DR. My lag is bad enough thank you, don't need it any worse.

People in RT who want to do the switches, and actually don't know how to do them. Its really not that hard.

Stole this form Lady-of-War, who stole it from Cross-Over.

Well... let's just start off with some bad things here...

People who:

  • Spam Pulsar shots, Calibur charges, bombs capable of knockback, shield bump, or even Brandish charges mindlessly without paying attention to their surroundings and location of their teammates.
  • Bring shock weapons in "Built to Destroy!", or fire weapons in "Compound 42".
  • Bring weapons of the opposite damage type than what is actually needed. (Arsenal stations exist for a reason, y'know. If it's a boss mission, then plan ahead of time and don't bring gear that'll make everyone cringe!)
  • Do NOT focus on killing the enemy healers, and instead focus on batting about the other enemies while they're getting healed.
  • Don't care about capturing a single point in Lockdown and instead just want to go for kills and damage. I think capturing the points is the whole point of the game, you twats.
  • Demand they be taken to a mission that is far beyond their current level and gear rank.
  • Demand for free items and will not stop pestering you until you do (or ignore them).

However, the worst of it all is when people demand that you:

  • Host a Vanaduke/Shadow Lair lobby for them when they have horrible, horrible gear.
  • HOST a Vanaduke/Shadow Lair lobby for them when they have HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE GEAR.
  • HOST A VANADUKE/SHADOW LAIR LOBBY FOR THEM WHEN THEY HAVE HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE GEAR.

I think it might've just been worded inproperly.

People who do NOT focus on killing the enemy healers, and instead focus on batting about the other enemies while they're getting healed.

No, just I've been in groups before where people completely ignore Silkwings or the Gremlin Menders (especially the Darkfang ones), and the entire time is spent prancing about and trying to kill enemies who constantly regenerate life from the healers. That's why they're usually priority over the other enemies, at least to me. I know an easy solution is to poison everything and be done with it, but still, killing them would definitely help to avoid prolonged fights, especially in arenas or objective fights, if poison isn't a viable option.

You have been gagged.

I actually stole from another Gremlin who resides in Tier 2, Mender class of Sector 007 of the Clockworks.
I recall him saying "GREMLINS WHO WALK INTO TROJAN SPAWNING AREAS. GREMLINS WHO WALK INTO TROJAN SPAWNING AREAS. PEOPLE WHO WALK INTO TROJAN SPAWNING AREAS."

I thought it was hilarious, but Synthesizer Rulex ordered me to put him down.

Who?

You may want to change a certain T word in post 45, I'm not sure if the Forum Moderators will like that.....

Anyway Shock in IMF isn't as bad as fire in C42 or oiler territory since a supercharged quicksilver can actually kill monsters.
Bringing on weapon with opposite damage isn't bad if you are running the Clockwork tunnels and plan on going into a danger room (that is about the only time to do so)

People who don't use their shield at all..... and then whine about me revving them while I'm dealing with HP buffed monsters from a 4 player party (yes monster HP rises in large parties as do their flinch resist).

People who don't listen to the guy who obviously has done this mission a billion times.
