the Morai are stated as a species? is this new?

in the description of the Riftlocker
A deadly handgun said to be capable of sundering heavy armor with a single shot. These firearms proved instrumental during the siege of Isora in breaking through the war machines of the Morai.

therefor we were fighting another race. I find this interesting due to it only being stated before as the morai wars where it could've just been assume that we were fighting each and at the cost of war nearly killing our planet Isora and the event could've been called the Morai wars but this changes that.

My question is Is this the first proof of lore of information about the Morai wars (like actually info not just knights making references about it.)

This also could give an explanation or questions on
Did we win the war? and even if we did what it the morai built a ship and follow us to the cradle (as an event maybe?)

also this may be a strech but could the Morai be similar to gremlins as they built war machines? or something like that of the gremlins to the constructs in the cradle

Only thing that was ever stated about the Morai Wars was that it devastated the Isorians (and most likely the Morians themselves), in both casualties and heavy toll of resources, thus the reason why we were looking for an ultra power source to begin with. In the descriptions of the Iron and Gold Wolf costumes, they were brigades that fought against them. The remaining ones were recruited into the Recon Knights.

where does it say "species"?

Where in that description does it say one way or another that the Morai are another species? If you replace "Morai" with "British", the sentence reads very similarly, and does not suggest that the British are another species.

So I guess I do not accept the premise of the thread. Sorry.

@bopp

OK well I mean like a group clearly different than us but by the way it phrase makes it sound like something different plus with the idea of space travel I am keeping an open mind on the subject.

Also something about it...

If you replace "Morai" with "British", the sentence reads very similarly, and does not suggest that the British are another species.

A better example is if you replaced "Isora/Isoran" and "Morai" with "Earth/Earthlings" and "Mars/Martians" respectively since we're talking about whole planets here. In both cases, this gives no indication of their race. A Martian is someone who was born on Mars, regardless of their species.

I just realised that although we call Knights "Isorans", this isn't the name of their species, it's simply their nationality.

Alien us a very vague and

Alien us a very vague and subjective term that simply means something that is different from yourself, including nationality (American Indians are an "aliens race" to us) so you're just stated the obvious.
The Knights state their homeworld as Isora, which means some if not all Knights nationality is Isoran, but this is no indication of their species. (The word "Human" doesn't have the word "Earth" in it) It also doesnt immediately mean that their homeworld was Isoran ever since the species' creation/evolution. A homeworld can change if the original was destroyed/abandoned. So for all we know Knights could be Homo Lumina

So, considering the above, it could be entirely likely Isora had a civil war, or something similar to the Cold War gone hot.
