I'm going to say right away that I love one of these, find one of these alright and hate the other.

This is the one that I like. Whenever you open one of these bad boys, you get a good number of items right off the bat! Now you might say that this causes inflation of the items and you're absolutely 100% right it does.

Why is this good? Because no one wants to have a guild hall full of christmas trees in July, because that's tacky and awful, but more than that no one wants to pay millions of energy on a guild that they don't directly own in some way because it isn't them. What if they decide to leave? Or if the guild dies because the guild master leaves and no one can promote? Or if they get kicked out due to some ridiculous policy they didn't know about?

So instead of this, we just get a trillion items from buying a few prize boxes, and only a few people have to pay into it, and your guild hall is set. The rarest item is a reskinned snipe, which means that you probably aren't so incredibly happy about that unless you really want one.. in which case you'll produce EVEN MOAR XMAS TREES to get it. In the case that anyone does this and someone will, have no doubt, the prices will fall so that even lower tiered guilds can celebrate winterfest with their amazing and cheap new trees. The other item, the milk and bakie (you don't cook them...) table, is a 25% item, making it attainable for everyone, and not some unheard of item.

Good move, Three Rings of SEGA.

I'm OK with this one. It's a lot like the one last year, it goes well with the frosty accessories that plague winterfest, and there really isn't much to say about it. No stroke of genious, but a good formula none the less.

This is the one I kind of really hate.

I pay you 50 dollars, and I get 14 prize boxes. If odds are to be believed and they aren't always, then I will statistically get somewhere along the lines of-

6.3 single UV tickets
3.22 double UV tickets
1.96 crests of summer or winter
1.4 tripple UV tickets
.7 sunshine or snowfall auras
.42 crowns of winter or summer
less than .14 wings of summer/winter

None of these are new items, and a lot of these values are pretty low. I'm not even likely to get anything better than an aura or crest, which means that if I buy these boxes I'm basically just buying unique variant tickets... The only thing this can possibly do is hunt the whales, and while I don't necessarily mind this so much, I believe that players should get what they want or at least something worthwhile when they're willing to put that much money into it, and this just doesn't deliver. If you're going to hunt the whales, you should feed the whales and please everyone else even a little for that matter in the process.

Watering down prize boxes just feels dirty, just as it always has.

I'm more interesting in discussing the odds to be honest. I can correct my post and ideas if further information is presented, don't worry.

I've been a way for a while, but since when have boxes been sold separately from CE?

I was planning on dropping $20 for x-mas, but not when I have to pick between boxes and CE.

EDIT** And yes I called it CE because It'll always be CE in my heart Q.Q
