I was actually really immersed in another game before SK (Flyff anyone?) but that was long ago - some of the best memories I'd made from then included engaging in gameplay with friends whilst being shouted at in voice-chat to debuff :') I guess I'm just looking for an active, friendly and open environment where I can interact with other like-minded players; and that's the impression this guild left on me after roaming the forums for some time!
7. We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
I'm still half-nub but I'll do my best with whatever I've got, I'd enthusiastically help other guildies in need. I'm definitely a team player!

When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?
-I was on and off before the whole game revamp of rarities came into play so possibly 2013
How frequently do you like playing the game?
-I login about 3-4 times a day and usually spend 2-3 hours just roaming aroun be it farming, arcade runs etc.
Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
- Just a average 18 yr. old (soon to be 19) college student who's just starting his 2nd year on his way to becoming a material engineer. Not only do I play SK, but currently I am staying up-to-date with about 5-6 more games as well (TF2, Brave Frontier, Boom Beach, Clash of Clans, Borderlands series, Left 4 Dead series, possibly CS:GO (currently can't play due to low FPS which is around 4-5 XD))
Our community has players from lots of different countries. Which might you be from?
-U.S West Coast, California born and raised.
Why the Retribution Council, and not other guilds? What do you think makes us different?
-I've been around the game long enough to see many guilds rise and fall but I occasionally see the Council and eventually felt the need to join. Also you guys seem pretty chill and many of my past guilds had loads of drama and corruption so I prety much wanna get away from all that.
We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
-I'm usually the hype man when new members join, just giving them the biggest welcoming party I could possibly can. Also I'm usually free to help carry lower lvl knights or be a filler in some danger missions if you guys need a slot filled. But the biggest factor is I pretty much know all the In's and Out's of all the events in the current yearly rotation.
Did you read the rules and agree to them completely?
Read through the rules mutiple times and I believe that these should be standard among all players. So yes I did read all of them and like every other contract out in the world "I accept and agree to the terms and conditions". But seriously I will follow these terms down to the dot and will accept all consequences if I were to break any of them.

When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?
If my memory serves me right, I started playing around late 2011 or early 2012. However, due to educational matters, I have been inactive from mid-2013 up until August of this year.
How frequently do you like playing the game? Because we sure do!
If I have a free time amounting to 10 hours, I would consume 7 and a half hours playing the game. But with my current work, I play at least an hour every weeknight I can and around 3 hours or more during weekends.
Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
I'm not a very talkative person... well, not until I have warmed up to others. I might not initiate conversations most of the time, but I would love keeping a conversation running as long as the other person I'm talking with wants to. Some would say that I'm very serious, which I would agree at, but that only happens when the situation needs it (like this application, this a life-and-death situation for the reincarnated budding career of my robotic body as a lime-colored circle).

Besides the all-tier openness, it's the genuine help and sincerity that your guild emits (from reading the initial post and several accepted applications). Your guild perks are also accessible for those who really need it, the players who are new and still learning. And did I mention not being pressured to be elite just so I can stay?
However, what struck me the most is when (out of the blue, though the guild member is not color blue at all) one of your guild members offered me help in advancing in my missions without me saying anything, the help is welcome but I had to reject because I want to clear mission first with my own devices and the unexpected help is a friendly and very very great thing for the community or other players needing those.
We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
Among a few donations here and there, the easiest and most fulfilling thing I can offer is help or support in missions I'm confident I wouldn't be a burden in. I like helping growing cute robots and I think that the best way I can do such thing is by joining a guild that promotes easy access to development of its members. Beyond those things I mentioned, I would love some thoughts on what I can do more for the guild.

-April 4th, 2011. I played up until last year when I took a year "hiatus." I starting playing again with my boyfriend about a month ago.
How frequently do you like playing the game? Because we sure do!
-It's rather frequent that I like playing Spiral Knights. That's why I'm usually on every day. Sometimes in the (my) mornings as well as (my) evenings. Mornings mainly consist of my logging in and checking on things, depending on how much time I have before work.
Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
-I'm a 23 year old who is working part time at a grocery store while learning some basics about game developing. I have a long term goal to start my own indie game dev team and company in the future. I take this very seriously despite my current lack of experience. I live with my boyfriend here in the Central United States, and both him and I play Spiral Knights together (as stated earlier). I'm mostly talkative within a guild and can be a bit shy just standing around in Haven unless I know some people there. Although I've played Spiral Knights since the dawn of it's release, I can say I'm experienced, but I can't say I know everything there is to know about the game (yeah that's not exactly about me as a person, but it's about me as a Spiral Knights player). Not sure what else might be relevant at the moment.

-Actually, quite honestly I didn't know you guys existed, per se, until... literally just the other day. My boyfriend told me about you (although not sure where he stumbled across you guys exactly or why), so I had a rough idea of you guys at that point. Then I stumbled across your recruitment thread here in the forums just this morning and got to read further details about you. There's a lot of qualities that Retribution Council appears to have (which is also what makes it different) that I'm rather interested in. I was actually considering making my own guild with similar ideals that have been laid out here in this thread, but when I read this thread, I realized something else. I realized that Spiral Knights doesn't exactly need more guilds... it needs more successful guilds. The way I see it, why make a new guild when I'm not even sure I could build mine up to where I want it to be? (That's partly fear, but also some rationality behind it as well.) But here is a guild that I could join and do my community ideas (which I will talk about in the next question) and not actually have to run the guild myself. Cuts some slack off of myself from running (and building up) a guild, but it would also contribute to something that already exists. I don't need to make my own when it already exists, that would only "divide" the players.
We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
-By community, I'm assuming (hoping) that you don't just mean your guild community. The Spiral Knight's community as a whole "needs" help as well. By helping the general community, I believe that would help flourish this guild as well. However, I'm not saying I wouldn't contribute to the guild's community directly, just that some of my "bigger" ideas revolve around the SK community as a whole. Mainly my ideas consist of contests or events that the community can partake in. But they would be rather thought out as well. They would be... different as well, rather than the "who can get the highest damage score in LD" or "who can kill Vana the quickest." I'd like to "shift" the focus onto the lesser noticed things of the game. I've always felt that the game should be experienced as a whole rather that just focusing on "how to get my gear quicker" etc. Hopefully these events, or challenges might be a better way to put it (challenge with a reward), will achieve a few things that's for the greater good of this game and its future. With that said, hopefully I can involve the guild with my ideas for helping the SK community as a whole (I guess the degree in which the guild is involved, if at all, would have to be discussed with the Founder of course) and it can result in a bright (SK) future for us all.
Addendum: Above is my "greater" goals for the SK community, but in regard to the guild directly I suppose I didn't quite elaborate. I would like to have events for the guildies as well. I want to help my guildies as well. As technically a "veteran" of Spiral Knights, I'd like to give back to the community. That includes helping out new players in various ways. I'd also like to contribute to the success of the "perks" you have for your members by making donations to some of the aspects, like Sprite Food, etc.

Tell us a bit about yourself as a person. So, first and foremost. I. Am. A. NERD. You heard me. When I say nerd, I don't mean I like school. I will rant about Anime for hours, watch anime for even more hours, and play Spiral Knights while watching and ranting about anime. I actually enjoy playing the game quite often, usually on a daily basis or more when applicable.
Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
I suppose I'll start with claiming first off to be the aforementioned boyfriend of Vesperaldus above. You could say I've always had some rather lofty goals when it comes to SK, though probably not anything near what she seems to have in mind. My goals probably focus on the more mundane aspects of the game, often things people haven't normally considered or would consider a waste of time to bother with. I'm normally quite calm or easy-going with many things, however I do enjoy certain comedy from time to time.
Our community has players from lots of different countries. Which might you be from?
I'm going to stick with Central United States as my location, same as Vesper's above.

My main answer would quite simply be the activity of the guild itself. Beyond that I like the various aspects of the guild explained on the first page, it all seems very organized, further adding interest to a guild that already seems to have some rather extensive goals itself, seemingly taking on not only those, but the goals of all who wish to and are able to join as well.
We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
I have been at least "involved" in this game almost since it began, I know virtually all the mechanics and areas inside and out, and, barring nearly every promotional event in the last year, the "gunner update" and rank 10+ missions, my knowledge of the areas available to players is quite extensive. I believe I can provide yet more useful insight as well as assistance in many of these areas, even if only because I was here when many of these things (missions, shadow lairs despite my lack of having done them a larger number(only run each area probably twice at most) of times, etc.) were introduced.

- Usually daily, at least once a week. I have a lot of things to do IRL, but I will always attempt to put some time for the game.

- The recruitment page seems well-organized and I feel that a lot of time has been spend on making it. I see a lot of your members in my parties, as well as in the Haven. Being a PvE guild also helps, my laptop isn't exactly built to run the PvP aspects of SK.

2. When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?
I began playing Spiral Knights mid-late 2011, I still remember mist energy. I enjoyed the game for a while until I burnt myself out of it and went on a looooong hiatus. It was only late 2014 when I got back into it, and now I play quite often! I forgot how wonderful the art, atmosphere, and soundtrack were!
3. How frequently do you like playing the game? Because we sure do!
I play once or twice a day almost every day, usually during later hours (6-11pm or later EST). I plan to stick around in the game for a long time, as I enjoy every second of it!

I'm just your average art student who's had a love of video games ever since he was introduced to them at a very young age, and now I want to join a thriving community so I can help other players and make an impact! I also hope to become a chef and to create lots of art for this game (and maybe this community, too!)

Usually in games like these, I don't end up joining a guild, and usually run solo. However, after taking a look at some guilds out of curiosity, I believe I've found an honest and active community that I want to be a part of and to help grow and thrive, and with how genuine and helpful everyone in this guild seems to be, I can tell that I'll have a great time doing so!

When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?
I've started playing Spiral Knights a while ago, when Team Forteress 2 offered the Spiral Sallet. I was wondering where players found it, and someone told me I could find it by playing this game, and soon after, I fell in love with the game. It was probably in 2011, in october if I recall correctly.
How frequently do you like playing the game? Because we sure do!
I often play in the evening, when I'm back from work (most likely around 6pm) or after my business meetings (around 9pm) based on my schedule.
Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
Gaming has always been part of my life. From when I was about 6, I started playing with old consoles such as the Atari, Commodore 64 and the Nintendo. When I got to high school, I was dreaming of becoming a game programmer. I've worked hard and today, it is my main job. I develop games and personnal management tools for many compagnies.

When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?: Just about a month ago, but I had had materials, crowns and such from an alt that I ported over. The alt was created about 3 years ago.

I love this place! ;)
I have been active in this guild for some time, and I must say, it is the ONLY guild that I have seen with actual structure and hierarchy. What sets this guild apart is that it is more than just a social guild, they actually help their members and provide different services to assist players in achieving their goals. This being said, I recommend this guild to anyone that is extremely driven... or for those that are just looking for a friendly atmosphere.

Playing: Since some time around SK 1rst anniversary Significant breaks after updates that changed mist energy, battle sprites, heating
Routine: I am trying to check in daily, if my workload allows it
Who am I: A person that prefers to use short and to the point interactions, but helpful nonetheless. Example for that would be that I remember explaining a fellow player, one of my friends back then, about the necessity of keeping personal information secret. As for Spiral Knights, I have cleared all Missions, can solo Vanaduke, but have little to nothing to show for Shadow Lair expierience.
Country: Germany, my English should be sufficient, though (I hope)
Why Retribution Council: I have seen a few small guilds with nice people fall apart from inactivity. Your guild seems like it'd have a nice atmosphere where I could find a community that I'd enjoy participating in. I also hope to accumulate some knowledge for clearing the most difficult content, referring to Shadow Lairs and the Daily Danger Missions.
My Contribution: While heating, I am constantly running the arcade, offering to buy the rare recipes I come across. Running Vanaduke in teams will probably be one of my more frequent activities, which is more of a net bonus to me as I see it as an improvement to doing it alone. Apart from offering my own parties, I will also gladly join people asking for help (which is limited by how good I am in certain environments).

When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?
I began playing the game a few years ago, got stuck on some missions and stopped playing for a year and a half. I came back only a few months ago, around May and now I am a gunner-ish Vanguard (I use bombs too)!
How frequently do you like playing the game? Because we sure do!
I try to play the game once every day for about an hour or two, on a good day three or more, but sometimes I am tired/bored and don't come on, because it would probably be a waste of time and I would just sit there.
Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
I'm a weird person, but you won't see me being weird unless everybody else is, which doesn't doesn't seem to really happen in this guild. I'm also a student, but for my age, you could consider me pretty mature.. depending on the situation. In Spiral Knights, I'm pretty much always silent though and to get me chatting, I kinda require others to start the conversation.
Our community has players from lots of different countries. Which might you be from?
I'm from Estonia! It's the smallest Baltic country and people barely know of it!

My former guild rarely had anything awesome going on in the chat, in fact, I can't think of any memorable conversations that happened while I was there. My guild did also not help with the Vanguard missions I am currently stuck on, even on normal mode.
We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
I can help many players due to my good dodging/gunning skills (I've completed the 4 first depths of Firestorm Citadel on Elite without taking any damage, but I lag a lot at the Vana battle), meaning I can offer stable runs of almost any level that I approximately know the layout and monsters of. I also know various tips and tricks to improve damage dealt in battle, which could help some players.

I have read the rules twice and I agree to them once. I don't remember breaking any rules in my former guild and I don't think I'd break any in this guild.

1. What's your in-game name?
My in-game name is Boomeer.
2. When did you begin playing Spiral Knights?
I began playing Spiral Knights back in 2012.
3. How frequently do you like playing the game?
I play the game daily, when studies don't conflict.
4. Tell us a bit about yourself as a person.
I am currently working on my B.S. in Electrical Engineering. At times studies are intense, and studying comes before SK. I am working on my minor in Spanish, and my minor in programming. Graphic designing is one of many things I enjoy doing, when not playing Spiral Knights. I have a headset with a microphone and TS3 to be able to talk to guild members to be well acquainted. I have a lot of experience with the Vanaduke run. As my Shadow Lair experience goes, I have only done SL Snarby, and SL Vana, so far.
5. Our community has players from lots of different countries. Which might you be from?
I am from the United States. More specifically, West Coast.
6. Why the Retribution Council, and not other guilds? What do you think makes us different?
I have actually only been in one guild, for about a week, when guilds were first introduced to Spiral Knights. Since then, I have been without a guild. Why Retribution Council? Well, I am looking for an active, mature group of players, to share good times with on Spiral Knights. I believe what makes Retribution Council different is that, Retribution Council leads by example. They don't go around publicizing their name and associating themselves as this great guild. The members among Retribution Council are what makes it the great guild it is. The fellowship, experience, and maturity of the members is what makes Retribution Council the guild I hope to find myself apart of.
7. We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
I as a player feel as though I can contribute another active member, who can aid in missions, gathering materials, and crowns for the guild. After all, it is a team effort. I will always be willing to help guild members, in any way I can.

My ingame name is Monsty-Energy. I started playing in february 2013 and invested almost 1800 hours in the game untill now. I used to play ALOT due to ingame friends and the guild i co-founded. But sadly this guild died after two wunderful years and this was the reason i stopped playing for roughly 6 months now. But now i m exited to join back in the fun! :) I think this long break was the right thing to do since it helped to enjoy the game again. The Guilds in SK are for me one of the most important factors of the Game and i'm sure that joining an active one would help alot to regain the fun i had these past years. I don t think i will be playing every day since i m in my final year of school but 3-4 times a week for sure. :)
Hmm something about myself.. I'm a 17 ( 18 in a month) year old guy who loves video games. <3 As is said i'm about to finish school this year and i'm planning to go live 6month/ a year abroad after that. When i started playing SK i instantly fell in love with the gameplay and the cute design :3. I live in germany but i am french too ( from my mother). I am fluent in french and german and my english is quite good too i'd say. :p SK is by far the game i played most and it s a shame that it seems not to evolve anymore. (we can always hope ;) ) But i still don t want to give up this game completely.. it always draws me back in its fangs and thats happening right now. :D Spiral Knights's community keeps getting smaller and it becomes harder to find active guilds to play with. So when i looked for an active guild i stumbled upon this thread and after reading the first post i was very happy and surprised seeing that guild like this still exist. It makes me happy to see that there is still hope that the game will "survive" and besides the benefits i get by joining this guild i also want to help it to stay alive. I also am very attracted by your rules and the service you provide. The system of ranking and the help for lower tear players is great in my opinion and helping others is half the fun in this game for me. I also like the weekly shadow lair runs and am exited to explore the SL's all over again! :o
I would say that i have good experience with SK and i like to share it. In my SK career i've been in 1 guild before founding my own one in which i still am. But since we are only 5 left in the guild and all are inactive since months it is time for me to move on. I have an kind -hearted and friendly and open-minded personality and reading the first post of this thread made me feel like there are others with the same mindset here. Of course i can t promise that this is the perfect guild for me before i've seen it for myself but i have a good feeling about it and should this feeling be right i'd gladly give my sword, my knowledge and my crowns ( should i not need them for something else :P) to this guild.
This being said i hope there is still space for me to be part of this big family. :)

This is a question that I was definitely expecting. And the answer is simple, one word in fact. Fun. Don't get me wrong, I read how you clearly stated that Retribution Council is a guild for mature players only, and I won't come here to make a complete fool out of myself, but I can already see how this guild is different from others. You aren't 100% serious tryhard players (and believe me, I've seen those before) who forget that spiral knights is a game. Guilds need crowns to keep running, right? Well I can easily provide that, because I do arcade runs quite frequently. Also, I'm a pretty decent gunslinger at this point. I can provide some tips. Basically, I can be there for you guys whenever you're in need.

I usually play 5/7 days out of the week for about at least 2 hours unless its exams and other circumstances.

I'm your average person just more on the quiet side and more observant type unless help is requested by others, I play SK out of nostalgia and recreational purposes.

My ethnicity is Chinese but, I currently live in Australia.
Why the Retribution Council, and not other guilds? What do you think makes us different?
Interesting offers with some unique systems in place that you don't often see in other guilds has pique my interest in this guild. I cannot judge the differences of this guild until I have truly joined and stay. Also Deathmasters whom is in the guild referred me here.
We offer many things. But what do you as a player think you can contribute to help our community?
I am more than happy to assist others as a benefactor or to play another beneficial role.

I like to join
I used to be in a guild called dusker clan and I was gm but no one was active so I left.I was told to post an application to join this guild by a player named Kazangen. So that's all I'm Deathmousefour in game. I played for 4 years and I'm pretty active I've read and understand the rules.(ignore this application there should be another by me and that's the real one)

- I usually play it 3-5 days a week from 5PM to 9PM (CET), FPS games are my main games but when my internet is too slow for those I always turn back to SpiralKnights! :)

- I'm gonna be honest. - Actually my friend ((Who is in your guild)) wanted me to join this guild, I'm currently searching for an active guild and he suggested me to join it. He said that it was VERY active and had much nice people who is always ready to help guildmembers or just wanna have fun.
