Support Sword for Gunslingers?

I've been surfing thorough all of the guides but cannot find one that can explain a good support sword for gunslingers.
Boops Sword Guide: If you are a gunner or bomber who wants a single sword for all emergencies, then consider Sudaruska, Triglav, and Leviathan Blade.
Wait what why Levi? And if the knockback is essential and damage doesn't matter much, isn't avenger safer? From your tests, Bopp, it wrote that the Avenger significantly attacks faster than the Sud but it has the same everything else (knickback, etc.)

If anyone has any good support sword for gunslinger suggestions, please help me!
What I have in mind: Winmillion, or Voltedge

I'm suprised that no one responded yet...

I bet you can figure it out

a single sword for all emergencies

And then I list three normal swords. Why?

I KNOW

Because it works against everything. I know. But if your not going for the damage but for the support/safety, isn't avenger better?

I'm really sorry, this is just not my day.

Well I personally like the Leviathan as a support sword. As you already know it works "okay" against everything, it's neither fast nor slow, and has a nice charge attack. In the end, you're the one deciding, so just get a flamberge if you want.

I just don't assume that

Sure, use Divine Avenger instead of Sudaruska if you value slightly faster strokes more than decent damage against beasts and gremlins.

My advice does not assume that gunners don't care about their sidearm sword's damage. Maybe they want to beat back a crowd of beasts sometimes. On the other hand, if they don't care about damage, then maybe they should consider Final Flourish too.

Huh?

I changed my profile pic because I don't wanna inpersonate Zeddy and such =3

Why Final Flourish? It has NO NOCKBACK.

Final Flourish has quite a bit of knockback, and speed. You can whip it out in an instant to carve some space. I personally like an Iron Slug or Autogun for carving space, but swords can do it too.

Besides, you'll get used to whatever loadout you use. Different gunners see sword sidearms in different ways.

I'm vohtarak, call me by that name

It seems you and sspiralman have a lot of already answered questions you can't be bothered to look up

More on topic I use a rocket hammer, kats , mecha knights, greavers, devilites, they all get annoying with a gun, and the hammer works pretty well

Here's my note

I would reccomend.... Dread venom striker. Deals normal damage, but also poisons, which makes damage stack, and is very fast.

.....

I would suggest the Obsidian edge, its a safe way to poison monsters and makes countering healing monsters easy. Most guns don't have the firepower to counter the HP regen factor with a mender or two around.

There are some poison guns but they are either awkward to use or have a low poison chance.

I don't really think there's any need for support swords when gunning to be honest. You'd be better off with a full suite of guns, as that would allow you to cover more kinds of damage with the same kinds of armor.

As of the last time you told us, you have:

Electron Charge
Silversix
Fiery Pepperbox
Heavy Shard Bomb
Frozen Pulsar
Toxic Atomizer
Winmillion
Black Chaingun
Strike Needle
Warmaster Rocket Hammer
Dark Retribution
Ascended Calibur
Mega Tundrus
Silent Nightblade
Graviton Bomb
Blizzbrand
Gigawatt Pulsar
Volatile Catalyzer

Basically-

Your autoguns = high single target damage (you have all the bases covered for this type of weapon)
Mega Tundrus = good for fighting in general, high long ranged damage and through things; relatively redundant here
Silversix = in this case good for finishing off enemies and covering the elemental that autoguns lack

For most areas, you'll want to bring silversix/tundrus and an autogun. These wouldn't be my first choice out of all the weapons, but they'll get the job done for about.. every single area in the game, actually. No sword required. You should be going for a tortofist, or you should have gone for a tortofist at the recent event that I think is over now? If you have a tortofist, you'll be able to construct this loadout:

Seerus + chaos + whatever shield

Correct autogun = deal massive damage when you need to do that
Correct tortofist = take care of crowds for when you need to do that
Silversix/Mega tundrus = finish enemies off at a distance, or use to strafe safely

If you can't get a slot upgrade, you could easily cut out the silversix/mega tundrus portion of the loadout and go for having just tortofists (which have a really nice finisher on the normal hits) and the correct autogun. You'd probably want to get the 3 specialized fists, keeping them at 4* with leftover shells if possible. Having them would be useful on danger missions. Iron slug would be a huge consideration for a better future where radiant fire crystals drop and the game is worth playing, but it's likely a bit out of your reach for now.

--------

You also have ascended calibur and winmillion right now. Winmillion is like a bad version of the tortofists (especially bad in the case of utilizing primarily handguns), but ascended calibur is PERFECT if you just need some basic sword to use as a crutch while you improve at the game to the point where you don't need some basic sword and can just go full gunner 100% of the time. DO NOT upgrade it to leviathan blade, as it needs its charge time reduction, but DO give it a charge time reduction med bonus with your crowns before you buy your 5* recipes. It will never truly cease to be somewhat useful.
