HELP! Java updates & security changes prevent going into the game!
I don't understand how it went wrong! I updated Java, and once I tried to get into the game, the game's shortcut and installation has been identified as "invalid" & has an "expired or not-yet-valid certificate", and no matter what I try, it always does the same! Even the game's shortcut installation has been mistaken as "corrupt or invalid", & the only reason it stated was this: "Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet-valid certificate from running", but the game's shortcut doesn't have a virus or something! Have I even heard the certificate's been dated yet or not? Well... I don't know.
So... I don't think this is related to any system OS of choice, like Windows, Mac, or even Linux. Rather, I think it's heavily related to some Java security validation problems. If anyone else has the same problems, please describe as much as you can.
Grey Havens, I hope all this can be resolved soon. Be sure to give solutions & the steps to them so that I can return to the game without mistake trouble from Java security. Otherwise, I think some consultation with Java's security mechanics may be in order.
To be honest, I'm a bit worried about all this lately, and I hope all this can be solved soon. Thanks!
EDIT: Actually... I fixed the cause of my problems myself. I had to delete the game's data, which in turn, erased past former OOO certifications that came with it & such, and reinstall again. Got that working, and now, I'm relieved to get back into the game once again.
