Currently Crimsonite, Dark Matter, and Luminite all have a purpose. You use them for feeding Battle Sprites, and beyond that, there is a small amount of equipment that use it in recipes.

Valestone and Moonstone do almost nothing right now, only serving to be used in equipment, and that equipment in question is also notably terrible so nobody is actively crafting it either.

SO... how do we fix this?

Well, two new Battle Sprites can go a long way.

Moonstone will now be used the Recon Drone Battle Sprites.

Recon Drones are used many times throughout the story, and are even in the same lab you get your Battle Sprite equipment from. Recon Drones use Moonstone as a means of propulsion, holding themselves within the air. Their abilities will assist with looting.
~ Their first ability resets your dash, allowing for more aggressive movement for better looting and combat.
~ Their second ability assesses weakpoints in an area, hitting enemies with a weakpoint increases your damage against them, but hitting an enemy that doesnt have a weakpoint removes all weakpoints; when an enemy with a weakpoint dies, it swaps to a new enemy, only 2 weakpoints can be active at a time.
~Their final ability scans enemies in an area and enhances their loot drops.

Valestone can be used for a Tortodrone Inspired Battle Sprite.

Valestone is the source of the engines. Tortodrones can be seen passing from geode to geode in search of Valestone, especially during migration periods. Their abilities focus around keep sturdy defense.
~ Their first ability instantly recharges your shield, allowing for aggressive use of the Shield Bash.
~ Their second ability causes all teammates within a small range of you to instantly gain high Defense Up (50% damage reduction).
~ Their final ability gives you 5 free instances of damage you can take without actually taking damage, but as a downside, it significantly reduces your movement speed. Shield Bashing removes the effect, and instead enhances the Stun it would apply to enemies.

This goes without saying, the idea can be adjusted to be balanced and fair. However this serves moreso to act as a base to use.

About Sprites

Was this "Recon Drone" you're talking about the E-Class Battle Sprite before mutation from the Core? Also, I feel it should have a machine gun arm and a shield projector arm. With it's first ability and ultimate ability both having a chance to shock the enemy to match the Moonstone used on it.

The Valestone Battle Sprite I think can be a Nature Sprite from Firestorm Citadel, but the Battle Sprite taking on it's form. With its abilities being about support and freezing the enemy both.

Can those work as well possibly?

I'm rather enamoured by the idea of the recon drone - but I'd also love to see a sprite that can help pick up items in a wider area passively, in exchange for the active abilities being a smidge less useful in outright combat. Being able to move fast is the main reason people run Drakon and it limits their value. A tougher drakon that hands its speed boost abilities to knights that prefer move speed and quick item cleanup would make a couple of small things I personally dislike about farming a little less tedious.

Good ideas here, I like 'em.

About Sprites.

So when I look at the current Sprites we have.

Drakon = Beast Family / Fire / Offensive
Seraphinx = Undead? (Since it's a Kat) / Support/Defensive
Maskeraith = Undead / Poison Offensive (I say undead because it literally shares the dread skelly aesthetic and is a ghost)

My ideas for Valestone/Moonstone.

Tortodrone Sprite = (Fills in the Construct Family Role)
I was thinking more the lines of a Defensive support pet that can deal Shock and eats Valestone.

As for Moonstone maybe some sort of Freeze/Ice Sprite.
I'm not what that could be though if going by the "Family" rules maybe some kind of slime pet or a Frost Greaver/Silkwing.

Could be a Yeti or Penguin since we have a monkey in the game. (or those could be a reskin lol)
2 Sprites would fill in the uselessness besides Prestige missions that Valestone/Moonstone currently suffer from.

I do think it would take a bit of work though to actually make said sprites/balance them.
Though I have a feeling this topic has been brought up multiple times already to Grey Havens in the past.

Maybe for the Reskins of said Sprites they could just make a Spritely MK2 prize box for those 2 specific sprites without having to re-run the old one since I know they like to keep things rare.

The problem with the 5 Magic

The problem with the 5 Magic colours (the crystals are Yellow/White-Blue-Purple/Black-Red-Green)) IS that Craddle Families don't play along those they are Simply Families.
Yes, Dragons are Red so Drakon is somewhat a dragon but also a lizzard?
Yes, Angels are White so Seraphynx half way fits... because they are also Sphynxes which are Blue unless not Sphynxes Sphinxes but the kitties Sphynxes that are Ghosts? so black?
Yes, Ghost and Demons are Black and Maskewraith is kind of both...

So green should be Slimes? but also Lizzards are green and wolves...!
And Blue we have... mmm constructs? since when constructs are blue? A flying bucket is fun.. but... Gremlins or gremlins are red?
Now I understand why the testers of sprites said that wasn't a good Idea to implement them as they where, that needed more work... (yes, that was SO long ago)
