Of course, of course. I just put forth a method with arbitrary numbers that I felt were modest, if only for a starting point and a way for the community to either yay or nay the idea.
Leave the game designers to do what their job title says, right?

This is an extremely well thought-out idea. Considering where it came from (really? you talk about the suit instead of talking about how he came up with this idea, allegedly, drunk?), this deserves a........ can't belive I'm even saying this. Oh My God. bump. AAAAGGGGGHHH!!!!! IT HURTS MY SOUL SO MUCH!!!!!

Something to make people get out of their wolver coats? Yes please.
Haha, yeah. It's boring to see so many people running around in identical suits of wolver coats and owlite shields. I walk in my Demo Suit with pride (and explosives).
And Eternity: don't tell me you've never hopped on SK after knocking back a few.
I agree with this idea and it should be put forward.
+28,000
I already see how this would be exploited for lulz.
Vitasuit: -1 when using your health to revive, +1 to revived knight
Vitasuit Plus: -2 when using your health to revive, +2-3 to revived knight
Vitasuit Deluxe: -3 when using your health to revive, +4-5 to revived knight
So, two players with vitasuit deluxe.
one is dead, the other has 3HP.
He revives the dead player at no cost, and they come back at 5HP.
Conversely, even if this bonus was removed (the -3 that is)
One player dead, the other has 2HP.
He revives the dead player (Thus reducing his HP to 1) and the other player comes back with 5~6HP (+4-5 to revived knight)
He then lets an enemy kill him, and the other "medic deluxe" resurrects him. (halving his HP from 6 to 3) and bringing back the original knight with 7~8HP (+4-5 to revived knight)
So, by way of resurrecting, then dying, then having the other player resurrect you...
You've gone from 0 HP and 2HP to 3HP and 7~8HP.
This isn't broken at all.
Even if you gave +0.5 extra health on resurrect, and had the same cost to revive... it would be a nigh-endless resurrection-fest that would make the game hilariously easy.
What's that? 4 players with vitasuits fighting vanaduke? and 3 of them are dead? And you have 1 HP? That's fine.
Player A resurrects player B
B does C
C does D.
You've now gone from the health totals of
1
0

to the new health totals of
0.5

All that the player with one health needs to do is camp around shielding. Someone dies? Resurrect them, go start attacking. They rez and become the new "1hp turtle"
Yes it could be easily exploited so why not instead of it always doing that have a chance of doing it. obviously the more up grade the better the chance and then leave the pluses and minuses to OOO. I figure with teh percent chance. it can't be a guarenteed exploit...you might get lucky if you try to get it to work but...chances are you'll fail.
How about it starts the chance decreases the more you do it? For example, at the start of a depth you have x% of reviving a player with the aforementioned bonus; if the bonus activates, you initial x% chance of the bonus then decreases byt n% until it reaches 0%; however, it the bonus doesn't activate, you initial x% chance remains the same. (Feel free to fill in the x's and n's, as well as changing the formula)
Honestly, it'd be neat, but I don't think it'd happen. It's too complicated and time-intensive for OOO to add this, so I doubt it.
That being said, having it have a % chance to resurrect without halving your HP at all based on star level would work well to me.
So, Vita-suit Deluxe would have 40% chance to resurrect someone without losing half your energy. They are still only brought back at half, but you lose nothing.
I can see how this could be exploited, so what if instead of the bonus health to reviving, anyone with the suit gets 1 free revival that costs either no energy for themselves, or they can bring back another player to full health and lose none of there own, but only once per dungeon run? And maybe the 10th level version could allow for 2 free revivals.
Or maybe instead of that, it only costs half as much energy for them to revive each time, since they would be medics they could revive more efficiently?
I don't understand? "exploited for lulz?" ......Huh? I mean that's exactly what being a healer is all about right? Healing your party? Are you making fun of this thread?
:S correct me if I'm wrong please.
I like the idea of making Vitasuits revive teammates with extra health, although I'd leave the exact balancing to OOO.
