Energy and Weapon levels?

Okay, I'm pretty new to this game and was wondering what happens when you run out of all your energy?
2nd, what are levels on weapons and what's the maximum level of a weapon or anything.
P.S. What does it mean when a weapon will bind to you when equipped?
Any help would be appreciated thanks (:

What EXACTLY does leveling
What EXACTLY does leveling your weapon do? It doesn't seem to increase damage output. I saw that it can unlock charge abilities. Does it increase some hidden stats? A related question: What does leveling armor, helms, shields, etc... do?

When a weapon gains levels,
When a weapon gains levels, damage output will go up. This is represented by the little bar on the weapon which will slowly get longer. Some weapons have other stats, such as attack speed or a chance to cause effects. You may not notice the damage output change at first, but it is really there.
Armor and shields will typically gain defensive power (enemies deal less non-elemental damage to you) and elemental resist (elemental attacks will be reduced, sometimes status effects will be resisted more often, or in some causes occur more frequently). Shields also have a stat that increases the amount of damage the shield can absorb before breaking. The exact way shields work is generally unknown at this time, unfortunately.
When a weapon or item levels up it will usually gain a new ability or upgrade an existing ability at levels 5 and 10. This is never hidden, you should notice it very plainly if you have a level 1 weapon and a level 10 weapon to compare.

If you'd like to see exactly how much damage you are doing with your weapon, be sure to enable "Show Attack Damage" under options

It's a little hard to see,
It's a little hard to see, but on equipment stats, the bar for what you have at your current level is bright blue and the bar goes further to show the max that you can get with level 10 - that part is a dark blue. Squint at the stat image here for an example: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Spur
As far as I know this is only for damage type and defense type stat bars, not for the speed, shield health, and status resistance ones.

You can't play anymore unless you get energy.
You can choose to wait 22 hours and let your energy fill up to the max, or buy crystal energy.

Leveling your weapon makes it stronger. All weapons can reach level 10, but depending on the star rating of a weapon, it may take longer to reach Level 10.

That means you cannot trade it with another player or drop it. Only you can use that weapon.
You can sell it to a vendor if you wish to though.
