And i'm wondering if I should just go with Azure guardian or go the harder way with Almirian crusader. Which one should I choose? o3o

Save it for Almirian, but make something else 5*.
I'd save the mighty cobalt for when you are ready to make Almirian armor (which may be a long while) and build up a different 5* set for general use.
Cobalt isn't bad, but Skolver, Justifier, Mercurial, and even Royal Jelly offer the same type of defenses with extra bonuses. I wouldn't spend 800 energy making something that isn't even the top 4 among piercing gear.
it will be REALLY hard for u do get almirian and will require at least 4 shadow keys. (or 2 if someone in your party shadow vannaduke clearance.) anyways it is not good to do a shadow lair unless u have at least a 5* helm, armor, shield, and a weapon the will be super effective for that run.
