I was watching some of Magnus's videos on youtube, and I saw the old PvP, Super Brawl, where players would compete against eachother on a field with respawn blocks, and obstacles. Where you earn points based on kills. I like lockdown, but you dont get the feeling of domination over another player like you do in Blast network than you do in lockdown. Basically, I want a PvP where I can sign up, and just whoop other players (with the seperation fo gear by tier though) without worrying about Control Points or Strikers and Recon's.
Bring Super Brawl Back!

It does look cool!
It really does look cool, but I really just want to kill people without recons sneaking up and strikers zooming past you, and control points.

Super brawl on the super bowl. Or some other spiral sport... suggestion forming...
The old gameplay style had numerous flaws, and it was basicaly dominated by gran fausts and sentenzas. If there was a new game that used gear it would still be objective based.

I dont like these sport ideas, spiral knights wasn't and isn't made for that.
And anyway, the reason why is basically because of the domination of striker/flourishes. Adding those classes made lockdown fail in my perspective: Guardians, annoying healing shields, Recons, dang invisibles, Strikers, snippy fast dominators. I just want a PvP where everything is just normal.

Now why would you want that when it'd be no more balanced than it is now?
In LD you can choose between three annoying abilities that are only annoying because people can use them to gain the upper hand over each other, used creatively. Take that away, and what've you got? A spamfest of GFs, DAs and FFs. You can't dodge, you shield will be shot to Firestorm in one hit; you'd be more heavily screwed over than you ever were.
People wouldn't even bother running away, because if they did, it'd be dull. And boring. Not to mention an utter waste of time.

Why not Super Cobalt Brawl?
everyone gets the same gear or at least all normal-damage-only weapons.
SO every one gets azure set with 3 weapon slots filled with a Levi, blaster, and a Nitro.
and if you want, you can switch a few weapons around. a Troika instead of a Levi. etc.
a Normal Damage Super Brawl.

From the data we collected about player behavior in the game and comments we
determined that Super Brawl as it was wasn't as successful as we would like.
Most didn't return to it after a single session or seem to find it fun. Among
other issues regarding balance and fairness, it simply wasn't the skill of an
individual that allowed them to succeed. So it's doubtful you'll see Super
Brawl in that exact form in the future. However that doesn't mean you wont
see something similar with some of the major issues addressed.
Unfortunately we cannot discuss our future plans as that's something we like
to keep secret as a surprise. If we were to release information it would be
to everyone on the forums. It wouldn't be fair if we only told a few knights
rather than everyone.

I also saw Magnus play but I didn't see a single flourish sword? Did they use them in beta? Maybe now that theirs flourishes the GF won't be so OP like it was back then. Also I didn't see a single armor with shadow defence. Not so OP now in my opinion. +1

Flourishes never existeed until after beta.
i don't care how it come back or if it doesn't but i'd love the crown to come back
