I would probably suggest a Snarbolax night lamp. Like a Snarbolax model, but you can plug it in and the eyes and thorns on its back glow. And maybe if you can have it on a platform make it little Snarby thorns sticking out the ground with it, make those light up too.
And yes. Snarbolax plushes and Mewcat plushes.
I would blow my life savings for these, really hope they happen. ^_^

Would anyone be interested in small pendants (or otherwise keyrings or similar) of the various tokens, cast in aluminium with the pattern recessed and painted in enamels?
Miniature / keyring / lifesize* shields?
(*Defender range and possibly owlites for the time being; not available in metal)
I've got a few ideas on the above, and would like to attempt to make them myself should an agreement with OOO/Sega be possible, but I'd like to know how much interest there would be.
Details:
Pendants would be approximately 1-2cm long and supplied without chain. One side would have the recessed pattern of the token, which would then be painted with enamel-based paints and then sealed/varnished. Made from 100% recycled aluminium; hand-cast.
Keyrings/similar would be approximately the same size as dogtags. Same as above, but potential for Spiral Knights logo-name on the back, enamel paint by stencil/mask, varshined/sealed.
Designs for these would be the various tokens available ingame, and possibly the spiral knights horse-head.
Shields in miniature/keyring size would be dogtag or slightly larger in size. Either flat/painted or recessed/part-painted. Recycled aluminium again.
Lifesize shields would cost a fortune in postage, and would be made from foam matting. Cut, shaped and painted.
Useful details for all shields would need to be worked out later, as this is more a brainstorming and theoretical design stage, and without testing the processes involved it's hard to say how they'd end up being done.
All above would be reliant on OOO/Sega permission or license being granted, as well as interest in the products. If there is interest, I'll do my testing and contact them with the results.

Also realised that I could try to mint some SK Crowns, but they don't really have much of a purpose...
However, I would also like to *try* to make Enchanted Candle candle-holders, both from some sort of plaster and from metal. However, I don't think my sculpting skills are up to that one yet. Would happily buy some of those if OOO had them made somewhere!

+1 on Figureprints.com, 3D printing is fantastic. If making your own character is too far-fetched, then perhaps a set of small 58mm characters, along with Vana or the Snarbolax? Perhaps a chess set, Knights as white and various mobs and bosses as black.
Other than that? I'm honestly not interested in standard merchandise.

Ok, being perfectly serious, this game is perfect for merchandising. It features cute characters, has dedicated fans, and merchandising could spread this game life wildfire. I found Maplestory when I saw that adorable little mushroom on a poster in a comic book store, so why not have a devilite, knight, or one of the birds as a plush with a mist tank code? I think it's silly that this hasn't already happened....
P.S. I would TOTALLY wear a RL Stranger hat to Ohayocon, and probably school too
