Rather than recreate the old Halloween event again, if they use helmet costumes again for Easter, make them only wearable during the Easter event so people can keep them for next year. Doing this would provoke the community to insist they design new costumes every year, but it gives them something else to do.
Is anyone else bothered these costumes expire after the event and you never get the item you worked for back, or does having it during the event counterbalance losing it forever afterward?

The Christmas hats are the only ones to my recollection that expire, frankly though non perma items suck and neither I nor my friends are willing to play to earn items that just disappear anyway.
The 75 candy halloween costume items were the best, they never expire and you can always wear them. Awesome.
