Elemental Sword + Blitz

Elemental Sword + Blitz Needle.

Elemental Sword being either DA or Combuster (because Combuster allows zombies to ride the full charge, Voltedge and Glacius don't), to take care of most things.

Blitz Needle is there to take care of Trojans and Vanaduke. It's the single most effective gun for that.

this is what i currently use, if i actually had ctr med on voltedge/needle I'd exchange the chaos cloak for something else as you lose like 10 bars when burning with strong fire, the dps is just great though :)

Best possible? With massive OP unique variants..
Defense:
Vog cub coat fire max, normal max, shadow max.
Shadowsun stetson fire max, normal max, elemental max.
Barbarous thorn shield fire max, stun max, normal max.

Attack:
Voltedge ctr vh, asi vh.
Warmaster rocket hammer ctr vh, asi vh.
Blitz needle ctr vh, asi vh, damage vs. undead vh.
Electron Vortex ctr vh, damage vs. undead vh, damage vs slime vh.

..Thus giving me max asi, max ctr, max damage on swords, and med damage, (max vs. undead) max ctr, vh asi for guns, and max ctr and the damage bonuses with the vortex.

I wish I had this lol. If I could have one thing out of all of these though, it would be the vortex.

i´ve soloed fsc with levi/polaris first.
you could try solo vana with pol, too

but with those weapons you won´t be a very useful part for teaming fsc.

nowadays i take volti/pol/shiver/blitz with me.

vog cub/snarbi mix is definately one of the best combinations for fsc, but 2 vogs do their job aswell.

Snarbolax Cap: Medium Shadow
Barbarous Thorn Shield: Normal High
Voltedge: CTR Med, Costruct Med
Barbarous Thorn Blade: ASI Med
Argent Peacemaker: ASI Med
Blitz Needle: CTR Med
Gun Damage Trinkets x2

Result: Max fire res, excellent shadow defense and good elemental defense. VH damage bonus on guns and sword. (max vs construct on voltege), ASI VH on BTB and CTR VH on blitz.

Soloed FSC and Vana yesterday with this. No deaths or any pills/remedies used.

Mine's not good as Enclavean Total Defense, Resistance Set, but it's good to keep me alive.

Result :
Max Sword Damage, Max CTR and Max ASI (Voltedge)
Max Sword Damage, Very High CTR and Max ASI (BTB)
Very High Damage vs Undead and ASI VH (AP)
Medium Damage vs Vana, CTR High and ASI Med (Blitz)

Normal is Max
Elem is 3/4 Max
Shadow is 1/2
Fire is Max

Though I want to get 3/4 Shadow too. =( and CTR VH and ASI VH on Blitz.

If you're ever planning on carrying a varied loadout, chaos set is amazing.

I have a CTR:Med Blitz and Sudaruska, so they're taken to max CTR with their level bonuses. I sometimes mix/swap Trueshots for Elite Slash modules, so I'm either max gun damage, VH gun/sword damage, or max sword damage.

I don't really care about defense because I'm under the belief that you should always be trying to build up your skill so you don't need it. Sure, I catch on fire and it eats half my health (if I have a vitapod lol), but that should never happen more than one time per group of monsters lol.

My gear :/

Here's what I use:
-Skolver cap (not recommended, I need to replace it with snarby/vog)
-Skolver suit (not recommended, I need to replace it with snarby/vog)
- 2 4* bombing CTR low trinkets
- Shivermist LVL 10 (CTR med from leveling, with VH from the bomb trinkets)
- Polaris LVL 10
- Glacius w/ UV High VS undead
- BTB LvL 10, for trojans.

*The bombing trinkets are for the Shivermist, if you're too lazy to get bomber gear like I am. But, if you have bomber gear, and want to deal more damage with a blitz, substitute the CTR low bombing trinkets for the DMG bonus low gunner trinkets.

- Barb thorn Shield - Elemental low

- Divine avenger
- Shivermist - CTR low (Electron Vortex if we have enough shivers in party)
- Blitz needle

- Sword DMG trinket
- Sword ASI trinket

So i have some shadow and some elemental/fire protection, ASI VH and DMG MAX on DA.

Tried to balance guns/swords

What I use:

Sword Speed + Gun Dammage Trinkets
- Perfect Seerus Mask
- Vog Cub Coat
- Grey Owlite Shield (because static fire is the most threatening)

You have Sword Speed VH + Guns Charge VH + little Gun ASI

And I use it with:
- Divine Avenger (for pretty much anything)
- Polaris (to use some glitches & save the party sometimes)
- Blitz Needle (taking down Trojans & Vanaduke)
- Leviathan (Vanaduke's mask & some extra jelly/wolvers)

I have beaten Vanaduke solo twice with starter items.Yes,I actually did that.But took me a hour.

And for Shadow Vanaduke,I had to make a team.But,someone decided to put a Mecha right next to me,which hitted both my friend and me,killing the rest of the alive people.

I mean I guess. We just discuss this so often though, and it kind of deserves a new thread that doesn't begin by misleading players looking on with outdated information.

Weapons: Blitz needle + potentially shivermist buster + whatever you feel like using to grind through all of the lengthy slag areas

Armor: Some combination of seerus, black kat, the new gunner armors that give shadow or elemental + fire, vog, and chaos that ends up giving you loads of stats on your blitz needle and potentially other weapons.

Trinkets: Weapon bonus trinkets

Battle sprite: Maskeraith w/ deadly cloak or seraphynx w/ heart attack in general; HP perk if joining late or weapon perk if not. Maybe MSI if you're fancy.

The one in new recruits is decent but I was hoping something that would be more specific towards each section. Zeddy's analysis on LD defenses and how much (or little) UVs help, threads like this, or discussions about well thought out suggestions would be in the "recommended" thread for each section.

At the moment we have a Useful Links thread in new recruits but it hasn't been replied to or updated since July 2014......

Yeah, I know that thread should be updated. But I don't think that detailed analysis of UVs is something that new recruits need. They also don't need this thread, which is a mixture of good advice, bad advice, and advice about some theoretically optimal loadout that even most ultra-veterans can't afford.

Which is why there should be useful links in each thread section instead of just the "NEW RECRUITS" section. Sure most new players won't need to care about defenses in Ld but for players looking to try to join the LD ranks a thread like that would be useful, so this thread would be in the Useful links in the "COLISEUM" section.

Same could be done with the other sections...

It's not a bad idea. Just remember: Even if it is written, that doesn't mean that the audience will read it. No matter how clearly you give loadout advice for FSC, you will still get threads asking, "I want to farm FSC. Any suggestions for equipment?" Cheers.
