Jelly Farm - Inaccessible area

Gonna start off by saying I really don't care if this has been brought up already. 10 pages in and there was nothing on it, so it needs to be raised again and necrobumping isn't exactly clean.

We all know of this closed off area where you used to fight Jelly Green Giant. For those of you don't know, OOO closed it off because it was "too difficult for new players." While Jelly Farm pays out great and is loads of fun with it's double arenas; this one area has taunted players for so long by just being there. Being useless. Laughing at you as you wish you could get to the other side of that stone fence.

Really, it's kinda dumb that it's been there so long and nothing's really been done about it. So why leave it there? Why not edit it out, or heck; reopen the thing? Sure, reopening it could wind up giving a payout that was much too big, but then again Jelly Farm levels are hard enough to come by as it is (although I'm happy to see a few in our current gate rotation).

I say that they should bring back the Jelly Green Giant. I definitely see how payout balance would be an issue. Maybe not have it accessible in Jelly Farm, maybe in some sort of other area. Perhaps a Tier 3 exclusive Slime Strata area, kind of like Stygian Steeds or Briar Bone Barrage for their respective Strata. That would be interesting to see. And you know what? Make it Arcade exclusive, too.

Remove the area in Jelly Farm and make a whole new kind of strata for Tier 3 jelly stratums, involving JGG? That sounds rather interesting. New levels are always nice, and I think it'd bring people back to the arcade, and make people pay more attention to gate construction.

I really don't get why they haven't done this already. Nick already said 'it was in the works', so what could possibly be taking them so long?

Nick and his cryptic-ness are what make him fun and evil at the same time.

Then again they say a lot of things are 'in the works,' but WHAT DOES THIS MEAAAAAN, PHREAK?

In all honesty I know things like this take long to develop, but the Jelly Farm issue has been around FOREVER. Literally. When the Big Bang happened, Jelly Farm was the first thing that came out huehuehue

I just hope something is done soon 'cus I've been annoyed about this since I started in 2011.

I really do not see why it hasn't been opened back up already. Would it have been too simple to perhaps just nerf the jolly green jelly? I mean, the same question is posed when one considers the Vog cubs, slooms, ironwood sentinels, oiler barons, and Tortodrones. Sure, Nick said it's in the works, but apparently so are Tortodrones, which have been "in the works" for quite some time. I mean, why take them all out? It just doesn't make sense to me. Either way, I wish they would bring the green jolly giant back. He sounds fun.

What I don't understand is how JGG was 'too difficult' for new players. All he is is an extremely watered down version of current-day JK, which is a joke for even 2* gear. And even if that WAS the case, why not just decrease the damage output it was dealing?

I hope to see this area reopened or removed altogether. The taunting is killing me.

Yes, that is why they removed it; which again is pretty odd to me considering it's just a big jelly cube. But green, and it spawns green minis like the ones in the lower right corner in RJP's 2nd floor.

I joined after those monsters vog beasts and green jellies were removed,too bad
i always like to fight vs hard and as many as possible foes

Yes it is too hard for new player but aren't SL too hard then?

I mean after a while you get used to it but it is really hard... Like those Mecha/Turret Danger rooms... the last wave spawns a cluster of 12 turrets with 1 rocket turret + couple weak mecha... I've seen many new player get demolished and had to finish it on my own

The Prestige Danger Mission are really hard too so...

So when they say "too hard'... I'm like... "more fun"!

Danger Mission/SL/Danger Rooms are meant for players up for the challenge, as opposed to just some enemies that used to appear on the floor. This was the only place JGG appeared, so I can't see why simply nerfing the damage output a bit was too much; as opposed to... closing off an entire area and leaving it there for us to see.

it sounds like it wont come back anytime soon and when it does come back, it might come as a huge update with the tortodrones, jolly green giant, vog cub and all those monsters that were sealed besides the sloombargo sense sleep is still a broken element.

The 'Jolly Green Giant' as some people are calling it in this thread is the mascot of brands of frozen and canned vegetables owned by General Mills. It was founded in 1903. and the Giant was introduced in 1928.

In all seriousness I think it around for a tiny bit after the beta.

That's just the regular tortodrone. I'm talking about the corrupted one...
