Unless the payout's bad.
And considering that he wasn't broken like sleep enemies, it felt stupid to remove him, rather than move him.
Originally, there was a place called silent metropolis, and Tordy was the boss. he was then moved to Emerald Axis, the place which as Trav said, not a good place to put him.
Which if he was in a similar state as when he was in early beta, he could've still been here.
Heck, put him in the TV, and have warnings for-

They have only been removed from the games, not the files though *cough*
You can still find him is SK's texture directory or with SpiralSpy.
THEY WILL come back EVENTUALLY.

Yeah, since open release, he's been gone.
And when they said they'll be back eventually, it's been over a year.

From what I heard, Tortodrones are better left to rust. Experienced players would ignore them, new players would get stun-locked into oblivion by them.
I wouldn't mind seeing their model in like a Danger Mission, but don't just bring the Tortodrone back the way it was originally.
