It's a well known fact that activity in the clocks took a nose dive after the release of missions. It simply became too inefficient in comparison to boss missions. Danger missions helped rectify this problem with a large treasure room. Perhaps this could be a solution to help raise interest in the clocks again.
There are zero cost elevators in each tier that lead to the terminal or the next town/core. Using tier two as our example, the terminal is on depth 13 and emberlight is on 18. I believe. So what if we tagged the DR treasure rooms onto those two depths? Obviously to prevent abuse, the payout would have to be linked to the number of levels each knight has actually played prior to reaching 13 or 18. Just like boss tokens are linked to levels played.
That's a quick thought I had anyway. Not sure if its possible under current game mechanics...maybe instead of a treasure room we could just have a "rest token". Starting from D8 moorcraft and reaching D13 terminal would get you 4. These "rest token" (wow that's a lame name) could then be redeemed for crowns.
Random thought anyway since I miss the clocks,
