> - The Haven Bazaar's merchants now have a random stock of goods that changes every day and is unique to each player. Check in every day for rare items just for you!

This is bad. This will encourage alting. A person with many alt accounts and characters will get a much wider selection of goods.

Unique to each player == bad.

It will also encourage people

It will also encourage people hanging around the bazaar and hassling other players to buy stuff for them, and newbies being very confused about the whole thing.

Alternative ideas?

Perhaps the core set of items could rotate and everyone could see the same ones at the same time; an extra shop that requires an entry fee could show rare stuff unique to each player.

Or just make it so people playing on the same computer see the same stuff in shops.

Before panicking about this,

Before panicking about this, it should at least be tested on different alts and/or accounts to see if this was already considered.... have you tried this "exploit" yet?

... the goods that shift per character are the same things...

Well first off, the goods that shift per character are the same things that used to be there, just put into random segments. So I don't think people are going to "alt" for that. :P Even if they did, what's the big deal? We used to be able to buy ALL of it before haha.

Secondly, being as they have Mist Energy per computer I'm sure they can (if not already have) do it with this too, if really needed.

Also, It's not the Spiral QM that is random per Knight, it's the other vendors. The Spiral QM shifts each day for everybody. At least this is the way it seems worded, or implied. Regardless, I think the QM has the same items for everybody for sure since everybody seemed to have been listing off the same stuff.

No worries?

We will be building upon this

We will be building upon this feature and plan to turn it in to something really special in time.

I agree with Chronus about the "what's the big deal about alts" thing.

The big deal about alts: If

The big deal about alts: If the idea is to restrict what any individual can do, then allowing alts, or trading, to bypass that bypasses a game design limit.

"Used to be able to buy it all": The old "everything is available for purchase in Haven" was a temporary thing for testing. I'm disappointed that recipes did not get "everything available in Haven for testing" in the same way.

Something new and different every day, with everyone seeing the same new and different: Good.

Something that gives members of big guilds, or multiple computers, an advantage and/or a workaround for a design limit: Bad.

My point is...

My point is I don't think people will feel the need to Alt for the possible 4* items when it's more worth it to alchemize them. However I do agree that if there is a huge advantage to Alts (perhaps if the QM worked this way), it would be an issue. It's just that, in my opinion, these simple Weapon/Armor vendors aren't a very big deal (also because it's Beta).

I don't understand what the

I don't understand what the problem is.

People aren't getting an advantage over other players by creating alts.
Somebody lucky would be able to get better items just the same as somebody who makes 100 alts a day.

There's no actual advantage given to anybody by using this system.
People can just change the odds by creating more accounts.
And I don't doubt that eventually, you will be able to manipulate the odds of getting good items from a vendor without alts eventually, anyway.

So stop whining.
None of you even know what you're even saying.
