I know way back in the day the Treasure Vault used to supply a nice amount of crowns, but in today's market the crown payout for a tier 3 depth is equilivent to that of a tier 1 depth. Most knights would rather prefer taking the graveyard just to earn more than that of the vault.
My suggestion is to make an improvement to it by adding more gift boxes and scatter gold coins around. I'm thinking you could even put in a new type of monster that would look like a gold sparkling lichen that only eats up crowns, and with every crown it eats it grows bigger, moves slower, and gains more health. It could be just as weak in damage as the kleptolisk on that level, but it rewards knights with a small crown or (an occassional token) bonus for everytime it lands damage on the kinght. (The damage part being optional.) You could even make it spill new materials like; gold core, gold drop, ruby core. Mats that don't go to any recipes, but if you sell one to a vendor they pay you a ridiculous price far out beyond selling that of a 5 star material, all with different costs depending on how rarely the slime drops it.
I like this idea. Currently these levels are more just like a breather, and much less greed involved.
I remember the music composer made this song thinking crowns weren't shared, so that's why the music is the way it is. If the slime of the level ate the crowns, that would make it for of a race. :P
