Snarbolax: Teleporting Terror

For some reason, 99% of the time SK runs fine for me, yet Snarbolax is always glitchy, jumping backwards just before I hit the bell, meaning I have to wait till it's eating through my shield before I can hit the bell safely.

If this is fixed, a few extra enemies should be added to the full run to compensate. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of red rovers after the spike walk, and a few wolvers during the boss fight.

Also, there seems to be this glitch where Snarby for 1 second behaves as if about to go into bite state, but then ends up doing something else, meaning immunity for over a minute.

I agree!

I agree that the snarbolax run, needs an increase in difficulty and definetly needs more monsters for tier 1 boss run. I do not agree that there's a problem with the snarby besides the fact that sometimes the bell's wave doesnt hit the snarby even if its nearby (not 99%, more like 5%). If it doesnt hit the snarby even when its very close to the bell, then you must be lagging a little. I think that the fact that the bell rarely doesn't work on snarby is an increase in difficulty, but not sure if its urgent to fix.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

I have noticed that the Snarbolax has a tendency to 'flinch' at times, usually when he's approaching for his triple bite attack. This is probably what you're thinking about, and is a part of the monster's AI as opposed to a glitch.
I'm pretty sure that Snarbolax's occasional immunity to the bell is a glitch, though...

Believe it or not, the snarby

Believe it or not, the snarby levels are remotely challenging to people that are new to the game, which is who it is for. Leave the dofficulty as it is.

Even worse..

For bombers like me, Snarbolax is pretty much near impossible at 2*. You have to charge up a bomb to hit the bell and then charge up another bomb to hit snarby, which is unlikely to do as much damage as with a sword.

All players are given various swords and guns at the start of the game.
It's hard with bombs, but you dont have to buy any new equipment to do it.

@Troupemaster

And did I not suggest we add some more difficulty to balance not based around blatant glitching?

And did he not just say that it's hard enough for who it's designed for?

...

He doesn't glitch at all.
He does a dodge attack very predictalby before his triple bite. People who wait for him to telegraph his attack will discover he's quite easy.
He cannot be stunned while he is howling.
/e dusts hands off.
Simple.

Still looks like a glitch/lag jump to me.
Even if it is intentional that Snarbolax jumps backwards randomly without proper animation, there are still plenty of other glitches, such as 1 seconds stuns.
Though people from the USA often do not believe in connection lag related issues, since there always seems to be some sort of server right near them.
As I type this, I cannot log on to SK.

"such as 1 seconds stuns"

I'm pretty sure that's just you dealing enough damage to him for him to enter the next phase. Should happen three times total before he drops dead.

"Still looks like a glitch/lag jump to me."

1) It's still not.
2) Then you would've hated the old wolvers. Teleporting everywhere mid-attack and whatnot.
3) "Without proper animation"? He jumps back sharply; if you can't see that, then that's a Clientside graphical issue.

"Though people from the USA often do not believe in connection lag related issues, since there always seems to be some sort of server right near them."

I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a jab at Americans or something else.

I'm from New Zealand and the only connection issue I have on a constant basis is latency. Occasionally I get a Steam screwup or w/e, but otherwise my connection is fine.

So?

"I'm from New Zealand and the only connection issue I have on a constant basis is latency"

Same here. But latency can be the reason that Snarbolax behaves in such a way.
Only ONCE have I seen more than one bar on the latency indicator.

And, btw, no, it takes >3 stuns should some of those stuns be glitchy.

"But latency can be the reason that Snarbolax behaves in such a way."

Without being overly philosophical, not it doesn't.

You can only see what your computer allows you to see. Graphical lag is a wholly possible possibility; that, or router/internet/connection issues.

Just because I once saw players walking straight off the map doesn't mean the Game is letting them do that.
