I think it would be nice if we could bind furnishings to your player in order to keep them for as long as you need. When bound, you can place them into the guild hall and move them around, but if you leave the guild or get kicked out then the furnishings you added that are bound would come back into your inventory. To bind and unbind (because I know you might want to sell the winterfest items if you don't want them any more) you would talk to an NPC (probably a new one or one that is not used that much) for a small fee. I know this would be great for anyone who has bought a winterfest tree, but don't want to see their money go to waste.

To start a fiery debate like all the other threads, well, I'm sorry but this can't possibly do.
Technically if you do not want to get kicked from a guild, you would want to obey the guild and help out in any other way. Furniture are considered "Donations" in a sense that you like the guild and want to build them up, in the beauty aspect. A player and a guild must have mutual respect and trust so that you would donate to the guild / the guild won't kick you. So if you think it's a waste of money, then you shouldn't donate in the first place.
