The latter seems like it would be easier to code, and none of the current gates really have any undead levels in their Stratum 6.

My guild originally thought it meant shadow lairs also, but after hearing about getting the book (whatever it is called) from a T3 depth it sounds like its just a rare drop from the Black Kats in T3.

I think it's Stratum 6.

I think it's Stratum 6. You can use missions to get to it; Alone in the Dark is a good one at D24.
