It's no secret that Iron Slug gets little to no love despite looking like a bad a** Mofo of a gun. Well why not give people a reason to get the Magnus line with a new off shoot called the Sleeping Slug.

Looks: This gun will be 5* and look like an Iron Slug but be light green.

Normal Attacks: This gun deals pure normal damage, a bit less than Iron Slug itself, maybe 7 bars at level 1 and 8 bars at level 10. (that should make it half a bar less of damage than the Iron Slug, It was hard to see where Iron Slug's Damage is on the wiki due to my computer and I apologize if this is inaccurate) And as an added effect it has a Good Chance of causing Minor Sleep.

Charge Attack: Due to the weight of the gun, it significantly reduces the speed of the user while charging. The charge attack deals damage to a small area around where it hits like the Iron Slug and Callahan. It also pushes the user back two squares. The charge attack has a High chance of inflicting moderate sleep upon a target. The length of the charge would need to be played with to find a suitable time to charge though I feel it should be longer than a Callahan charge but not as long as a Gran Faust charge.

While no sleep may seem all fine and good, why not give it to some lesser used weapon lines instead of the over used ones to give a different balance to game play while not making weapons totally over powered? For those of you unaware of sleep, here is what it does: It puts players/monsters into a catatonic state where they cannot move or defend and they heal until sleep wears off or they get hit by an attack which wakes them up.

Sleep wouldn't be over powered in PVP because any attack would cancel it out, it would only allow someone to get an extra hit in or switch to something that deals shock, which they could have used in the first place. Though in PVE a sleep based level would be hard to defend against due to the rate and strength of sleep being inflicted upon players. much like getting freeze locked, it would be hard to get out of and could spell death to players, though I see no reason it can't be a weapon that the knight use. We already have sleep vials.

What? put them all to sleep and don't attack them again :p The map is yours to capture.

@Little-Jaunces: If you don't attack them, they will heal and when sleep wears off, they will come after you. Besides if minor sleep deals only a few seconds of sleep, it's not that much of a head start to capturing. Also with most armor resisting normal damage it wouldn't be good at damaging players either. This all assumes that they balance sleep's length.

Also have you seen the chance of stun on Callahan? it's not that often, just enough to maybe save you. This gun would have the same chance but deal minor sleep except on the charge which would leave you vulnerable while you charged.

Then again that would be my opinion on the effect and it all depends on how sleep is balanced and how often people use it. if one player uses it, not that good. A whole team? it could be overwhelming but that is the same thing with haze bombs. if a while team used Shivermist and VT unless you were resistant you would get freeze or shock locked.

Hay guise!

Sleep was removed for a reason. Let's maybe suggest some rebalancing before we ask for weapons using it.

Sleep...

...meet freeze, the more balanced and less OP status.
