Yesterday as I was messing around, I created a very destructive form of gunning which I have never seen before in LD.
I Tried it in t2 wearing a Cyclops helmet and 3* jelly armor and got 6k average over 3 games.
The combination is super blaster and Mangus.
PS. I had no asi what so ever and I was a striker.

Any comments or other CRAZY combination.

I believe this would work much more effectively if I use 3* gunner armor to increase my asi.

Boom!

This combination was already founded a long time ago. Without ASI, it's completely useless. Why? You go ahead and stand there with a magnus while the other players steamroll you. And finally, 6k... not good at all. Caps is where it's at.

Striker gunners and Valiance

Striker gunners and Valiance are fairly common in T3 LD (it's what I use when I have four slots), Callahan not so much. What about how you gunned that makes your playstyle crazy and special?

...not new at all

This is an evidance that a good gunner is now an endangered species...bang magnus, bang bang super blaster(repeat)...stun + pushback = lol
...btw...to me striker gunning is much more easier than recon or guardian gunning(guardian gunning is the hardest :/) because it can give me range...

Oh and yes! 3* gunner armor is better than 3* jelly armor because that armor is practically not-very usefull in t2 LD just like skelly, cobalt, magi cloak...and you also need to becareful with those asi vh SF, SS and Brandish wielding max normal+max piercing dusker ( I believe you're a veteran t2 LD player so you know who those people are ) as you'll be almost hopelss against them the moment you bang your magnus...just bang your super blaster and run or just avoid them, but if you really want to ko them, it is up to you :/

Sadly I quit t2 ld gunning and go t2 ld bombing because bombing is more lag friendly :(

Regarding T2 LD gunning

I'm personally running (on an alt) with Voltech mkII and Firotech (soon-to-be mkII) alchemers. Stacking statuses is fun, and also helps you to deal damage to several targets at once. Fun stuff.
Anywho, Recon gunning gives better buffs and more health, as opposed to Striker gunning which lets you run away. If you can Recon well, you won't need it, especially if nobody cares much that they're being shot at.
Alchemer mkII bullets move considerably faster than their 2* variants.

The Cyclops Cap is, if you can keep your nose clean, arguably OP due to its +2 Damage buff. This along with almost continuous shooting and hitting will pretty much guarantee high damage - in my case, with a mix of 2-3* guns, over 3,000 damage. 6k average is pretty high, though - I'd guess you spent pretty much the entire match in a big fight.

Heated blaster > Unheated same-level Alchemer for damage against all targets. Magnus, I'd guess, is especially effective, particularly if your targets are wearing Skelly/Magic gear.

I won't claim to be a gunslinger in LD, but I've never really understood a reason to take Magnus instead of Blaster. Primarily the chance of stun I guess? Even then, I feel like it's not worth locking your movement for that split second, especially given that Blaster has knockback on every single hit that lands, not to mention a larger clip and (I think) longer range. Blaster just seems so much safer, with no major tradeoffs relative to Magnus.

That being said, I probably don't know what I'm talking about. hybrid4lyfe

Blueflood and his Sentenza

Blueflood and his Sentenza and AA. He Kites people then keeps shooting them.
I would've view a Sentenza or Argent Peacemaker and a Valiance.

As a 2 year veteran of LD, I

As a 2 year veteran of LD, I can safely say that the value of a player cannot be measured by the box score at the end of games. If you're basing the value of a gunner based on his damage output, you have alot to learn about team games. A good gunner should be playing full support, and if they happen to be solo they just lure enemies away from CPs--because they can't cap or defend (conventionally) on their own as they would have to remain on the point.

I don't care if you deal 12k damage a game, if you live longer you're of more use to your team. Don't gimp yourself for some extra 0s on the box score. that guy that scores 2k a game on the winning team is of more value than a loser with 30k damage who couldn't carry his own team.
