Pretty much sums up my opinion as well.
Plus, I have invested so much into this one, that I don't think I can bring myself to start over again for any reason. As much as I love this thread and the idea behind it, I don't see the point in more than one... unless multiple threads gathered a following that competed against each other... that would be cool. Biggest problem with that is the fact this thread has such a massive head start though.

I just made a new counting game because I didn't want one to just end in 5,000 (6,000?) or 10,000 and I also would've liked to use the post number as a reference (because of all those skipped numbers and stuff). I didn't have a chance to count in this thread before. I also though it would be nice to keep track of who made the 1000th post, and so on, that way we would have some sort of milestone. And I wouldn't have to change the title :P
I do agree with your idea of making a competition with several counting games (Yay!), though that would require some organization...

I really like your idea and plan to keep track of milestones and records. I started to archive the events from this thread, but I stopped around halfway... Eventually I'll probably pick it back up, but it was so time consuming trying to catch up to the current posts.
I competition between threads would be awesome; we would just need more people to make it work better :D

So I was thinking about that competition between threads, and we would have to make some sort of teams (3 or 4 teams?) for the game to be fair (same amount of people in each thread). Then people would have to "sign up" to organize the teams, but then we would have to make teams random (+fairness?). Anyway, we would have to think this through a bit, maybe have a "practice" competition to see how the rules work (ofc we also need rules!). I think the only problem would be getting enough active people.

It's a cool idea, but I agree that getting enough active people would be difficult. I think having a handful of people (3 to 5) who only post in one thread would work and leave anyone else who wanted to post as wild cards (let's say Average-Example-Knight joins the forums and makes a couple of posts since the game sounded funny, but doesn't want to commit to joining a team). Biggest thing with the wild cards would be they could post on any thread (or all), and who knows what would influence a wild card participant's choice of thread to post in.
