I don't know if this is as much a suggestion as it is sharing something that I think would be really cool in spiral knights. What if you could go into a mission that requires you to go alone. I don't know if anything would come before this part, but in the mission. You fight a Dark version of yourself, a shadow version. The player could try to talk to the shadow version before the action but the dark you could just simply reply with "..." or nothing at all. I was sitting here talking to my brother and the idea popped into my head. The theme that plays while fighting this entity could be the same thing that plays in Haven, except the song is fast paced, and more dark and devilish

mmm

problem is, it would not be simple to make an AI efficent enough to pose a challenge. it's not like "he has my weapons he is good". unless he continously spam polaris and brandish charges.
I still prefer my idea of the swarm knight.
